Creamy lobster on top of nori inside of a light and fluffy bun. It was a fun twist on a classic bite. For the main I ordered the wagyu burger. I ordered it rare and it was not the right call. The burger was so thick that it didn't get a great sear on the outside and was falling apart. I did hear a waitress recommend medium well due to the size and I would definitely suggest that to anyone who tries it. It had a great flavor so I would still recommend you try it. I also ordered the notch fried rice bowl. Chinese sausage, pork belly, peas, carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, broccoli, egg, bean sprouts, togarashi spice, and topped with a dippy egg. This dish was savory, Asian fusion cuisine mixed with something that felt like comfort food. If you go here, this is what I would recommend you try, but their whole menu looked incredible. This is a spot you need to add to your list of places to check out.

The broccoli was crisp and fresh, and the white rice mixed perfectly with the pineapple sauce to give you a sticky pineapple rice. The shrimp were fried golden to perfection, slightly overdone on the inside. Service: The woman who served me was so sweet. She checked back in to ensure nothing else was needed after a few minutes of eating. She was attentive without being overbearing. Ambiance: You will look at the outside of this restaurant and expect a rundown place inside, but it's anything but. The eat-in area is super clean and has an adorable trellis with hanging grapes and vines. There's booth and table options available which adds to your personal comfort preferences. Value: The meal was on the higher end of what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant, but adding in the service and ambiance, I feel it was worth the cost.

Unfortunately, I did get a very poor mu shu chicken with very little chicken when though I asked for and paid for extra. The little bit of chicken that was in there was dark meat and unexpected. The order we got about 2 days ago for chicken satay looked horrible to be honest. It looked like they found a few sparrows on the street and stuck skewers through them. Of course it wasn't, but It was inedible to be honest. Burned and poor quality. The Pad Thai chicken was good. So, some inconsistencies... But worth trying again. Hopefully they read these reviews and make adjustments.

I started with the wonton soup and cold sesame noodles, pretty basic choices, but I enjoyed it! Then I tried the spicy tuna pizza which was overall bland, but the scallion pancake the tuna was on was really good, and I ordered some dumpling sauce to dip it all in to give it more flavor which definitely helped. Definitely worth a try.

But this place was horrible! The food tasted really bad. I tried general tso's chicken which looked or tasted ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like general tso's chicken. The shrimp lo mein was overcooked and tasted horrible. Their customer service was 50-50. Restaurant was very poorly lit, dark and shabby. Looked quite dirty because there was all sorts of junk that they ought to store in the back right at the front of the restaurant where people are supposed to sit. There were kids lying on the booths (where customers are supposed to sit) and playing on their iPad. The food was delivered to our car because we didn't want to sit in the dark and dirty interior. But the food was delivered without silverware or napkins. When I went back inside to ask, I was given 3 very small napkins for the 3 of us.

Located in Village West on Tilghman Street, it's open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Saturday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. I was looking for a place to grab dinner before going to the movies, and since I hadn't had sushi in a while, I decided to give Sumo a try. Kicked things off with the crispy calamari, which was perfectly fried. It's a familiar favorite, served with a sweet chili sauce that complements it nicely. Next up were the Kani salad and seafood miso soup. While the soup was loaded with seafood, both dishes were fairly average and a bit bland. For the main event, sushi! I tried the Sumo Roll, with spicy crunchy salmon and avocado inside, topped with seared salmon, white tuna, crispy rice ball, and tobiko with the chef's special sauce. I also had the Cracked Lobster Roll, filled with spicy shrimp and lobster, sweet potato tempura, and topped with Kani salad and a Japanese cracker with garlic mango sauce. Both were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything was enjoyable. I'd rank Sumo somewhere in the middle among the sushi spots I've tried.
