The food was not bad, and the service was excellent. However... While my family enjoyed the experience, it is not the same restaurant it used to be: a great Laotian restaurant with an unfortunate name and an attention to cooking detail that doesn't usually show up in reasonably priced Asian restaurants. Now it's a run-of-the-mill "fusion" restaurant with an appropriate name and a lack of apparent interest in cooking the food really well. My wife and I went out for dinner Saturday night, and chose this place based on Yelp reviews. Overall I was very pleased with the food-everything had a great flavor, and there was plenty for us to eat. My only complaint was that the service was a little slow, but I think they were working under-staffed, so not entirely to blame. First off, it's gorgeous inside. I spent the small amount of time it took waiting for my food just looking around the restaurant. I love that it is attached to an Asian grocery so that I can pick up a few things while I'm there! I was dying for some great Thai food in Morganton, and thank goodness I found it. I love the small menu - it seems like they do a small number of really great things instead of a ton of so-so items. They do have tofu and vegan/vegetarian options (even though it's not listed on the menu!) My food was presented beautifully and it was even more delicious than it looked. I like things spicy, and they can definitely do that for you! It came out before my date's dinner, which I actually appreciate; it came out when it was hot. Our server was so kind and speedy. What a lovely little gem! It is tucked into the Tannery Shops shopping center/plaza and shares space with a little Asian food market. A simple and delicious menu at an affordable price point made this a great stop for lunch today. I got the vegetable medley with jasmine rice and added chicken, plus the egg rolls. All the food was fresh, hot, delicious and came out quickly. I will definitely be back when I'm in town :) read more

Asian Fusion Kitchen is located adjacent to an Asian grocery store. The place has nice decor, but when you look closely you notice its a bit messy, at least when I've been in. The service was friendly, but slow. This seems to be more of a take-out kind of place. The food is really good. I had some amazing curry. I would eat here again, but most likely get to go. read more

I love this place. I travel to major markets such as NY, San Francisco, and Dallas and I have to say this place is as good as I've ever dined at... The food is prepped daily, tastes fresh, and the spices are to perfection. They don't serve alcohol. Some Thai, Vietnamese, or even Japanese beer to compliment the wonderful spices and curries would be great. But, the food is so good it can stand alone without the beer. read more

I like this little place. It's no 5 star restaurant, but a perfect place for a casual dinner date. Again I like this place they serve a variety of Asian dishes including the popular pad Thai, and it is excellent. As far as I know they are also the only place in town that serves bubble tea. I'm giving them only 3 stars for the simple fact that their sanitation score was frighteningly low at 91.5. That said, it's never made me sick and I enjoy eating there. read more

We came into town and my husband's cousin and his gf took us here. I was very excited to try this place. This review is only for the pho... I think I am a little biased because I went into the place thinking I'd be eating Vietnamese pho, not Lao pho so I was a little disappointed but I don't want to take away from the place. The pho was good, it came with the usual, mint, jalapenos, lime, bean sprouts. I really like how they had so many more condiments than a usual Viet pho place. The medium was like a large for me, I'd go as far as to say it was almost an extra large by the standards of where I'm from so portion wise, very good for what you pay. The tendons were kinda tough, like it hadn't really been boiled long enough? I ended up giving those to my husband. Taste, I'm not sure if the broth already tasted this way because I added sate before eating but it tasted like noodle packet flavor, my husband said the same. We were the only ones at the restaurant during our visit, service was good, our waitress was friendly and checked up on us a few times, refilled our waters before they were empty. When we left, one of the chefs, maybe the owner was nice, she was like make sure you come back! I'd definitely go back the next time we're in town, I would like to try other items on the menu, wish I was hungrier this time around. read more

We were visiting the mountains for several days and went to Asian Fusion for dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our waitress was so helpful and very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. There were six of us in our party. We got a variety of entrees. A couple of us ordered gluten free dishes. We were told that any dish on the menu can be made gluten free. I ordered the gluten free Pad Thai and it was delicious! My husband got e gluten free stir fried vegetables and he said it was the best Thai food that he had ever had. Our party also ordered fried rice which was very good as we're the spring rolls. There is an Asian market attached to the restaurant which was neat. We will definitely return when we are back in the area! read more
