So far so good. Being a newbie to Durant, this is the first Chinese restaurant I've tried here in Durant. I ended up ordering the Kung Pao chicken and Lo Mein combination dinner. The Kung Pao chicken was tasty, a little bit light on the chicken for my taste but delicious. The Lo Mein was on the oily side but very flavorful as was the acompanying egg roll. Oddly even though it was about 5:30pm, there was only 1 customer eating in the restaurant, although there is plenty of seating in there for more. I'll be back again, planning on trying the Chow Mei Fun noodles. read more

After waiting 20 minutes I drove over to pick up my food. When I arrived, they HAD NOT even retrieved my order from online to start cooking it. Let me paint the picture of what I saw when I walked in. Only one family was in there eating (already had their food) and the staff was sitting in a booth. There was NO reason why my order shouldn't have been cooking or already cooked. Especially when once they got the order it was ready within 10 minutes. The service isn't the reason I won't be back. I was trapped in Durant during evacuation for Hurricane Harvey. My mom and I were in town for five days living in a hotel and eating take-out. This place was one of the highlights of our stay. The food was awesome, the guy that helped us figure out how to order what we wanted was super friendly. He was patient and explained what we were looking at and what his favorites were. The egg drop soup definitely hit the spot considering the cold wind that is blowing around today in January. The General Tsao's chicken had just the right amount of crunch for me... We usually get take out from here about once a month. Pretty good... I wouldn't say excellent, but good! I previously had the chicken and vegetables, but I didn't like the sauce that came on it. Now I either get a beef dish or vegetables. My husband and I can both get a full size meal and a large wonton soup for under $20, and it's enough for 2 meals. Take out is quick even if you don't call in your order in advanced. The restaurant is clean (except when they are too busy to wipe tables). It would be nice if they had a small area for people waiting for take out orders; their only options are to stand by the counter or sit at a table. Love Chinese food. Passing through town, stopped for the night and found pretty good reviews. We ordered egg rolls, hot and sour soup, Kung Pao Shrimp and Crispy Beef. The two entrees came with steamed rice. Egg Rolls were ok, nothing to rave about; the same ole egg roll you get in every Chinese restaurant these days, although it seemed like the filling was cooked a little better than most.. Hot and Sour soup was different, no vinegar taste, if it was there is was a trace amount.. not very spicy, very yellow with a different taste than most...sort of like a cross between egg drop and hot and sour with tumeric. Crispy Beef was very crispy, but on the menu described as crispy with brown sauce, it said nothing about being a sweet brown sauce. I have sugar restrictions and after all day driving, little food, I had to eat the sweet or have half a dinner. Kung Pao shrimp was also different, shrimp were translucent, like when they're frozen and it lacked spicyness. Overall average. Prices good, portions good. read more

BEST Chinese food EVER! Wu and family have it going on and serve hot fresh food 7 days a week. The crab rangoon are some of the best out there. I love this place. The Hot and Sour soup is excellent. A lot of places really fail at making it but theirs is spot on. I usually get the General Tso's and my Fiance gets the Bourbon Chicken. We were in Durant Sunday evening and thought we would give this place a try. We called ahead and verified they stayed open until 8:30. We walked in the door before 7:30. A woman was cleaning the dining area and had all the chairs stacked on the tables, and a man was behind the register. I asked him what time they close (he barely speaks or understands English) and he again told me 8:30. I asked him where we should sit. He said "you no sit, we close". I tried to explain that it was only 7:30 (the time changed that morning, daylight savings time, and I thought maybe he didn't know) but I don't believe he ever understood, So we left without being able to try this place, Spelled good in there though. It would certainly be helpful if business owners & employees that deal with the public would learn how to speak English. read more
