These are some bland flavors. There isn't much spice at all (none, in fact, zero heat at all). The ingredients listed on the menu aren't completely accurate either. For example the Thai rolls I just received had nothing but noodles in them. No cabbage. No carrots. Just noodles wrapped in a spring roll wrapper and deep fried with a 1oz plastic cup full of pink sugar syrup as dipping sauce. The Pad Thai was just sauteed veggies (zucchini and onions) with plain noodles. Asian Noodle Bowl is new to the Augusta Marketplace. My daughter and I discovered it during a shopping trip and decided to check it out. We were NOT disappointed. I tried the Pho (beef noodle soup) the portion was generous and delicious, the clear beef broth, tender steak, perfectly seasoned meatball, tons of rice noodles and crunchy sprouts. Really warmed me up on a cold January day. My daughter tried the pineapple fried rice - she lost her mind. It was seasoned perfectly with lots of fresh veg, cashews, and of course pineapple. She gushed over how good it was and she should know she's a fried rice snob. The fun part was seeing the robot servers zooming around with the food going from table to table. During a conversation with one of the cooks, he recommended the Shoyu Ramen - so we need to go back for that, it's always a good sign when the cooks make a favorite recommendation. The way it works, you order and pay at the counter, they assign you a table, the food is made fresh to order, drinks are fountain soda self-serve, there is ice water available for free, beer and wine are also offered. You take your seat and the food comes out as it is ready so my pho came first quickly followed by the fried rice. They have a large selection of bubble tea and bottled drinks as well. The restaurant is light and welcoming, it's not crowded, has an upscale café feel, with modern décor and there is wi-fi just as for the password. Plenty of parking in the Marketplace lot. Asian Noodle Bowl was a nice light lunch while we did our shopping. I'm glad to know this little gem of a noodle bar is so close, it would make a quick lunch for working professionals, and I'll be trying the Shoyu Ramen next! Check it out! read more

It is fresh and fairly well executed but the broths are flavored with with garlic from a jar and lots of other quick shortcuts that do not take the food to the next level of "very good". It is Asian-esque with lots of short cuts. However, what ruined my lunch experience was the very strong odor of Fabuloso scented in faux Lavender. Fabuloso and food are not a fortuitous pairing! Fabulous and Pinesol for that matter are not anti-viral and cannot kill bacteria and viruses like Lysol or bleach do (I also really do not want to smell in great big wafts of Lysol or bleach while I am eating.) My husband and I have been here many times! We love it every time we go, and encourage others to comes as much as they can! When you enter, you place your order at the front register, where they then assign you a place to sit. You can choose side table or booth, and inside or outside. There's six Thai rolls per order, five rangoons per order, and six gyoza. To me, for the price and knowing they're made in house, I thoroughly enjoyed my selection. I also tried my Husband's Wonton Noodle Soup, and the wontons were absolutely FANTASTIC!! The portion was big enough we couldn't even finish the soup between the two of us! I said yes, and she then noticed the extra dish, mentioning it was a mistake and needed to take it back. She removed the plate from our table. A solid one star for a pretty lousy experience with our Saturday evening dinner. Signs on the door indicate that one should order at the counter prior to choosing a table, so we followed along and waited in a short line. Our order was pretty simple. One order of the beef pho and one order of the Asian fried rice, with beef. I asked for a strawberry bubble tea, and while watching one be handed across the counter, was told that it was unavailable for the evening - I guess it wasn't meant to be. We were told to sit at table 8, where we went (sans beverage) and waited. And waited some more. The beef pho arrived after about 10 minutes. No rice was to be found. It showed up 17 minutes later, exactly 27 minutes after being ordered and about 5 minutes after the pho turned to ice. Not sure how many people go out to eat with their significant other and chow down while the other one is waiting for their food to arrive, but that's not my speed. Food was very much bland. There was no seasoning to be found. Salt and pepper on the table could only do so much. The pho had a few tiny scraps of flank steak, which was tender, but lacked something. The rice was better, but had a strange lack of consistency. The rice was hot, the beef was sparse but what really stuck out was the odd preparation of the veggies. Some pieces of onion were cooked well, while some was damn near raw. Green beans - an awesome choice for fried rice - were basically uncooked. 27 minutes passed from order time to presentation. Were the veggies added in the last 27 seconds? A split review to the robotic food service... kinda cool and techy to have an autonomous food delivery system come out, but I'll parrot the other review that brings up the obvious: how many people had the option to hack up a lung on our food as it wheeled over to table 8? We live in strange times. Embrace the tech, but respect the germs, yo. And for the final course, there was the employee letting us know that it was time to go. Closing time was listed at 8, but for some unforeseen reason, the staff had to split early. So, we dumped our food in the DIY bus your own table bin and headed for the side door.
