These are some bland flavors. There isn't much spice at all (none, in fact, zero heat at all). The ingredients listed on the menu aren't completely accurate either. For example the Thai rolls I just received had nothing but noodles in them. No cabbage. No carrots. Just noodles wrapped in a spring roll wrapper and deep fried with a 1oz plastic cup full of pink sugar syrup as dipping sauce. The Pad Thai was just sauteed veggies (zucchini and onions) with plain noodles. None of the typical flavors one associates with pad Thai.. in fact' it was so unlike pad Thai that I'm not convinced I even received the correct order... Asian Noodle Bowl is new to the Augusta Marketplace. My daughter and I discovered it during a shopping trip and decided to check it out. We were NOT disappointed. I tried the Pho (beef noodle soup) the portion was generous and delicious, the clear beef broth, tender steak, perfectly seasoned meatball, tons of rice noodles and crunchy sprouts. Really warmed me up on a cold January day. My daughter tried the pineapple fried rice - she lost her mind. It was seasoned perfectly with lots of fresh veg, cashews, and of course pineapple. She gushed over how good it was and she should know she's a fried rice snob. The fun part was seeing the robot servers zooming around with the food going from table to table. During a conversation with one of the cooks, he recommended the Shoyu Ramen - so we need to go back for that, it's always a good sign when the cooks make a favorite recommendation. The way it works, you order and pay at the counter, they assign you a table, the food is made fresh to order, drinks are fountain soda self-serve, there is ice water available for free, beer and wine are also offered. You take your seat and the food comes out as it is ready so my pho came first quickly followed by the fried rice. They have a large selection of bubble tea and bottled drinks as well. The restaurant is light and welcoming, it's not crowded, has an upscale café feel, with modern décor and there is wi-fi just as for the password. Plenty of parking in the Marketplace lot. Asian Noodle Bowl was a nice light lunch while we did our shopping. I'm glad to know this little gem of a noodle bar is so close, it would make a quick lunch for working professionals, and I'll be trying the Shoyu Ramen next! Check it out! read more

It is fresh and fairly well executed but the broths are flavored with with garlic from a jar and lots of other quick shortcuts that do not take the food to the next level of "very good". The restaurant is very well organized and the service was amazing. Charlie served us and he was great! Charlie was super attentive and after taking our order he made sure we had a freshly cleaned table to dine at. Charlie was very personable and had a smile throughout our interaction. They have boba tea which is an all time fave of mine which was one of the reasons I chose this spot. Another reason with it not being a chain restaurant. My ramen was good however the pork belly was a bit too fatty that about half of it wasn't really edible. Crab Rangoon's were good and my husband enjoyed his seaweed salad and beef pho. You order from the counter and your food is brought to you via robot, so if it's really busy, you may not be able to get a table. I grabbed a table when I first walked in so avoided that difficulty, which was great as we had our baby with us. Self serve for drinks and clean up. My husband and I have been here many times! We love it every time we go, and encourage others to comes as much as they can! When you enter, you place your order at the front register, where they then assign you a place to sit. You can choose side table or booth, and inside or outside. The costumer service was fantastic and they all gave their own personal recommendations! Even the owner was super chatty! He owns the Asian Cafe in Winslow, which I also recommend! The robots that delivered out food are super cute and a fun addition to the restaurant. My husband ordered his favorite, the Wonton Noodle Soup, while I ordered three starters: Thai Rolls, Crab Rangoons, and Gyoza. It came with two sweet and sour sauces and one ginger sauce. There's six Thai rolls per order, five rangoons per order, and six gyoza. To me, for the price and knowing they're made in house, I thoroughly enjoyed my selection. I also tried my Husband's Wonton Noodle Soup, and the wontons were absolutely FANTASTIC!! The portion was big enough we couldn't even finish the soup between the two of us! My drink was the coconut bubble tea with strawberry bubbles. The cups were adorable and seeing them make it was cool! Very sweet, and I'm wanting to try all the flavors they have. Located in August's strip mall mecca I thought this was a chain, but it's not! Pleasantly surprised at the good food, fast&friendly service, and just plain surprised at the robot delivery. No, it's not a moving free sample tray, but I guess it cuts down on labor. There's an outdoor patio that might pose a challenge to the mechanoids: Think daleks. The pleasant owner was there working the counter with others. He owns just one other decent joint in Winslow. I don't understand people complaining about uncovered plates on delivery. The robots are pretty quick and have you ever seen restaurant waitstaff cover their plates in transit? In fact, they breathe over them! So maybe the robot is cleaner. read more

Asian Noodle used to be a favorite of mine--until last night. I went with a friend, and we each ordered a meal and an appetizer. At one point, a robot brought us an extra dish of drunken noodles. Without my receipt, I wasn't sure if I had accidentally paid for it, so I set it aside on our table. Toward the end of our meal, the person who took our order came by and asked if we were all set. I said yes, and she then noticed the extra dish, mentioning it was a mistake and needed to take it back. She removed the plate from our table. As we were getting up to leave, I noticed the same dish was reheated and being handed to another customer. Is that even allowed? Shouldn't a dish that's been on a table be thrown out? A solid one star for a pretty lousy experience with our Saturday evening dinner. Signs on the door indicate that one should order at the counter prior to choosing a table, so we followed along and waited in a short line. Our order was pretty simple. One order of the beef pho and one order of the Asian fried rice, with beef. I asked for a strawberry bubble tea, and while watching one be handed across the counter, was told that it was unavailable for the evening - I guess it wasn't meant to be. We were told to sit at table 8, where we went (sans beverage) and waited. And waited some more. The beef pho arrived after about 10 minutes. No rice was to be found. It showed up 17 minutes later, exactly 27 minutes after being ordered and about 5 minutes after the pho turned to ice. Not sure how many people go out to eat with their significant other and chow down while the other one is waiting for their food to arrive, but that's not my speed. Food was very much bland. There was no seasoning to be found. Salt and pepper on the table could only do so much. The pho had a few tiny scraps of flank steak, which was tender, but lacked something. The rice was better, but had a strange lack of consistency. The rice was hot, the beef was sparse but what really stuck out was the odd preparation of the veggies. Some pieces of onion were cooked well, while some was damn near raw. Green beans - an awesome choice for fried rice - were basically uncooked. 27 minutes passed from order time to presentation. Were the veggies added in the last 27 seconds? A split review to the robotic food service... kinda cool and techy to have an autonomous food delivery system come out, but I'll parrot the other review that brings up the obvious: how many people had the option to hack up a lung on our food as it wheeled over to table 8? We live in strange times. Embrace the tech, but respect the germs, yo. And for the final course, there was the employee letting us know that it was time to go. Closing time was listed at 8, but for some unforeseen reason, the staff had to split early. So, we dumped our food in the DIY bus your own table bin and headed for the side door. The shrimp were fishy tasting and rubbery. No basil was distinguishable even though it was stated on the menu. The Asian Fried Rice with vegetables ($12) was mushy, the texture of baby food. Level 5 was not spicy at all, I don't know if you go off the area your store is in, but on the West Coast that certainly is nothing, it tasted bland and it wasn't a good tasting "heat" anyway, I could have added my own chili oil to it. I ordered the beef, there were 3, yes THREE small pieces that I could find in the entire bowl. Last put not least, I actually looked on other options that added nuts, this one didn't not, so I ordered it. I absolutely HATE nuts on my food, BUT guess what nuts. I ate 3 whole bites of the entire bowls, because the noodles were so overcooked.
