I'll be prepared to probably have to share it if you were a small party of one or two people. If you are a larger party, you'll have to go in and let them know so they can make arrangements. There are no reservations and it's going to be a basic menu but there does seem to be more options for seafood lovers. You can come in for breakfast and they have breakfast items. The menu does seem to change for each meal service. It's Quaint and a little bit simple, but it does look like they put a lot of love into their meals .

The handwritten menu on the chalkboard is cute and rustic. However, the service we experienced was the WORST!! Food was okay, just average, with small portions and extremely high prices: The omelet is large enough to feed a child, not an adult, and the Maine lobster roll is also small yet overpriced at around $30+$7 for French fries. $40 with fries, tax and tip makes the price higher than NYC prices. The $4.50 coffee cup does not include a refill (we were not aware that there was an extra charge for coffee refills util we saw the bill). For a simple light breakfast, also expect to spend an average of $40 per person! Last year, the gentleman server/proprietor was extremely rude and crude and disrespectful. This year, we had a similar dismissive experience with the other owner from Hawaii. For the sake of the survival of the business, I hope both owners would stay away from customer service and hire a more pleasant server instead. They both severely lack the communication skills and the enthusiasm to serve and be helpful. We decided that our last order would be a take-out. After ordering, we were asked not to wait for the food order inside the store; the proprietor asked to wait outside instead. A short time later, we were handed our food in several takeout white foam boxes, without a carry-out bag! The hinges popped open while trying to balance the boxes while carrying them. The quantity was a little disappointing but the quality was unacceptable because one of the fish orders we picked up was undercooked and could not be consumed! The rest of the food though was tasty.

Their last day of service is 8/31/25 announced recently on their social media accounts. My wife and I knew we needed to make one more trip here and glad to say we got one more visit in! The vibes have been similar over the past couple years during our visits. They have a tropical/island vibe with Asian inspired menu items along with some late night bites. They also do a phenomenal job with cocktails, and I would add mocktails as well which my wife and I each tried one tonight. Looks wise you would not even be able to tell it was non-alcoholic and the flavors were great too. I got their Platonic Best Friend which had a good spice to it, while my wife got the Lack of Meow that she loved. Food wise we each got a Double Patty Burger and split an order of the house fries. Both were just as good as all our other visits and the fries were even more seasoned than normal. We will miss both burgers and fries and especially the dipping sauce that comes with the fries. Lastly we had never tried their dessert and the Maine Blueberry Cake they had sounded so tempting, my wife's favorite fruit is blueberries. Every bite was amazing and my wife even said it was the fastest she has ever eaten a dessert. Was the perfect end cap to our final visit to Paper Tiger! We will miss this being a late night spot for us to grab a burger while people watching the madness of Fore Street bars closing. Service was fantastic with no complaints. The only negative I could mention is that talking to our server about being sad about them closing and they let us know the staff only found out about it one day before the social media post went out. Leaving them with minimal time to find another job. Hope they all can find a new job right away. If you have the chance before they close get over here for one last drink or bite!

They lean heavy into the Tiger theme here. The place is totally decked out in knick knacks, artwork, and more. It's cozy but chic, with huge booths on the other side of the bar, good for big drunken outings I imagine, considering how they are known for their late night scene. We chose the small but comfy wicker chairs at the bar and got glasses of wine - $2 off on happy hour! Our bartender was super sweet and helped us with our order. We got the double smash burger and Szechuan wings with Thai chili sauce on the side. Food came out hella quick. The wings were little but they were so *crispy* and the Szechuan seasoning was tasty and not too overpowering. It was rated as 3 chili peppers on the menu but I didn't really detect any spice. Thai chili was sweet, tangy, solid. Our burger was good. I imagine it's modeled after a Big Mac - had all similar ingredients - just better beef, pickles, etc. It went down easy. I think I was just missing more flavor, maybe a little greasier, something cravable. But hey, if you've been out drinking and you need a late night snack, I guarantee that puppy will hit the spot. Their cocktail menu is an attraction in and of itself. The more you read through it, the more hilarious and charming it is. We will definitely be back to try some of them, especially one of their "party" bowls meant for multiple guests. Love the innovation and playfulness here! Can't wait to return!

We were craving ice cream, and Zephyr popped up on Yelp. As soon as I saw their shaved ice and ice cream creations, I was intrigued. They reminded me of the incredible shaved ice desserts I'd enjoyed in Hawaii and across Asia. The shop itself is charming, with fun signage and a welcoming atmosphere. Every ice cream combination sounded tempting, but I finally settled on the chocolate pretzel and the orange creamsicle. Both were outstanding, and it's easy to see why they've been voted one of Portland's best. The staff were thoughtful and attentive, and the owner was especially welcoming. He told us he was a former bartender, which makes sense--every syrup is made in-house, as is the ice cream. That extra care and craftsmanship really shine through in every bite.

They don't take reservations, and they don't have a waitlist you can join before arriving -- which almost deterred us since we'd been driving all day and the hangry monsters were in full effect. But we risked it and actually got seated right away. Service was great -- friendly and attentive, there just enough and exactly when you needed it. The cocktails were pretty good. I had the Proper Manhattan (Woodford Reserve whiskey, sweet vermouth, and Woodford Reserve chocolate bitters, garnished with a Luxardo maraschino cherry and orange wedge) and the Proper Pig (Crown Maple bourbon and amaretto, garnished with an orange slice and bacon). My dinner was great -- I opted for the Veggie Wedgie (house-made veggie black bean burger with fontina cheese, avocado, shredded lettuce, red onion, tomato, and a citrus chipotle aioli, served on a brioche bun), and I swapped the fries for a side salad. I also added on some mac and cheese, because you gotta be bad sometimes ;) I'd order all of it again! The others got the fried fish and fried shrimp plates and weren't as enthusiastic as I was -- they said the breading was a bit too thick. Overall, it was good, and I'd hit it up again if I'm ever back in town.
