We have ordered here quite a few times. From takeout to dining in, the experience is always pleasant and the portions are huge with fair prices. On our most recent visit, we dined in. The restaurant is cozy and offers a variety of seating options from booths to tables or a seat at the bar. The staff are all very friendly and very efficient. I recommend their steak hibachi. We came to Pass Christian for a long weekend for our anniversary. The VRBO totally sucked, 213 E Scenic Dr, so it put a real damper on the weekend. We went to Lester's Seafood Friday night and wow! The food was insane! The fried oysters were to die for and so were the onion rings. So by Saturday night, we just wanted to stay at the rental and get to Sunday so we could leave. We decide to just pick up a to go order from Asian Paradise. Goodness gracious! I ordered chicken chow mein because I love it and can't get it at home at all. The order was chicken chow mein with fried rice. It was absolutely the best I ever had. My husband ordered the mongolian beef with fried rice and he thought it was delicious as well. He went inside to pick up the order and reported that they were very busy, but they were working like maniacs. Our order was ready in 15 minutes.If you are anywhere near E Scenic Drive, check it out. This is the 7th time I tried this place because I live nearby and I liked the miso soup. I picked up pepper steak to-go. There was only one piece of steak in the middle (that you see in the photo.) It was ALL peppers and onions, no steak. To be fair, there were leftover slivers of steak end bits in the juice. (You can compare it to the one piece of bacon in a can of Bushes baked beans) Also, don't upcharge for the fried rice. I keep forgetting when they ask if I want white or fried. It never has anything in it. It barely has pieces of scrambled egg ends. It was like a full batch of jasmine and/or brown rice had one egg scrambled in it and they called it a day. This place seems to be highly overrated based on the reviews I've seen. It has very ordinary Chinese food, but whoever is doing the cooking really doesn't know much about really good Chinese food. It's not a buffet style setting. They don't offer any version of snap beans which is one of the most popular Szechuan dishes in China. And don't ask for a visit with the cook. What a great find on the coast! Asian Paradise is nestled right in the heart of Pass Christian with easy street parking or the convenience of two close parking lots. My teen daughter and I have eaten here twice recently. The first time was at the urging of her eye doctor who has an office just minutes away. So happy we tried it! The General Tsao, Orange, and Sweet & Sour chicken and shrimp dishes were delicious! I'm able to grab a side Ginger salad for myself while my daughter can have miso soup as an app. Portions are HUGE. We have been here a handful of times and never been disappointed. A very good selection of dishes that are each nicely done. The crab Rangoon actually had crab in it! While one would think this is obvious - it's rare to have enough crab to actually notice it when this is ordered at most places! We like the lo mein (chicken) and the Mongolian beef - although the dish could have been a bit spicier. The pork egg rolls were good. We were excited to try this place and went on the worst stormy night! The place looked like they were doing lots of to go orders and only four tables were taken so we were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and our drinks came promptly. My husband started with egg drop soup and I had the egg rolls, we were both pleased. For our mains I selected the Phoenix Dragon and he selected the triple delight with garlic sauce. I was fully expecting some heat with my meal but it was very mild, if the word dragon is in the name I want the spice! Maybe they should ask what level of heat you want ‍ my husband enjoyed his however he also said he wished for a little spice. We were really craving some good Chinese food, especially egg rolls. Gave this local restaurant a try. Decent seating and the waitstaff is friendly. That's the best thing I have to say. The food is bland and nothing like a typical Chinese restaurant. It wasn't terrible by any means, it just didn't wow us. I hate to diss a local family owned restaurant, and while the food here was not bad, the sunken quagmire of a parking lot that you must walk through to get to the front entry of this place is dangerous and ugly. Surely, they could spend a few bucks on leveling out the gravel, or even in paving it to make the walk not such an unpleasant experience..., and the fact that there is no "opening" in the wooden fence which would allow you to exit to the sidewalk exacerbates a bad situation. I am sure it's better when it isn't raining and the parking lot is dry and you don't have to step through puddles, but it's really inexcusable, especially on a cool downtown street in Pass Christian. We've given this place 4 chances. That's fair, right? How on earth are people rating this place highly?? It's just terrible. Examples: Mongolian beef so tough and chewy it's not worth the effort. :( Fried rice obviously old and without any hint of freshness, much less protein. When ordering an entree of fried rice, It's literally the same exact thing you're going to to get as a side with an entree, plus the addition of .. oh let's say.. maybe 3 little pieces of beef, chicken , etc. The fried tofu as an addition to any dish is just atrocious. It's greasy, it's tiny, it's deep fried in old oil. Egg rolls are terrible, not fresh. Tons of dough and 1/8 filling. Soups are inedible. All of them!! ( We've tried) We love good Asian food. We eat it often in many cities! Whatever is going on here with staffing, kitchen, etc is embarrassing. The only downside is none of the dishes are prepared with pork. Service is very good and the atmosphere is comfortable. While the Mississippi Gulf Coast is not known for Asian cuisine, this establishment ranks as one of the best in the area. read more

Service was fast and efficient, and when my friend asked for another tea bag for the green tea, he had it almost before he finished asking! The chicken is the usual breaded chicken bits, but these were absolutely fresh -- they had not been prepared hours ago and left to dry out as so often happens. The crab rangoon were smaller than what I'm used to, but they were cooked to perfection and again, obviously made fresh, not ahead of time. Prices were very reasonable, and an intimate atmosphere caused people to stay longer than they might otherwise -- I hope that didn't hurt the restaurant's turn over rate -- but it's nice when one can come in, eat, and relax. read more
