Not as bad as what people claim it is. We expected worse - but wanted a slew of Chinese food and got a great experience to boot. We went on a Sunday. However, I would like to make a suggestion if you go there, be sure you go in with cash. Today at lunch during the heavy downpour and stormy conditions, I was advised "no card, is cash only" on the way out. There's no sign and no one advised customers of this as we came in. So we all had to wade through the flooded parking lot and go to the bank and back. We went around 6:30 on a Thursday and everything tasted as if it stayed in the warmers too long. Nothing was good...,the hot and sour soup was darker than I've ever seen it. The rice had way too many onions, egg rolls were mushy inside, rice noodles were almost transparent, coconut shrimp was dry, not many choices for chicken, no sesame or honey and the general Taos chicken was terrible. I have never been at a Chinese buffet and had plates stacked up until this location, where our server stood nearby on her cell phone...no refills or anything. What a shame!! I usually like this place but tonight, we get here 45 minutes before closing and get charged full price with all the food looking dry, and many of the pans completely empty. Honestly, if you plan on stopping the production of food for your buffet in the last hour of business at least let people know so they can order off your menu. I've probably eaten at over 100 buffets over the years and Yun Lon Buffet is by far the best! Their food is always fresh and tasty. The service is excellent and every time I go the owner is there making sure the customers are happy.
