This was our first meal and Asian Pop. We both had a bento box (shrimp teriyaki and snapper teriyaki). The Rangoon were creamy and delicious as well as the shrimp and snapper. Fresh watermelon was the fruit of the day. The ginger dressing had a little citrus and was a complement to the salad. This was also the first time we ever had a bento box and went away full. This is my favorite sushi place in Ocala. You can relax, enjoy the food, and not feel judged as you would be at other sushi places. The food is amazing, and the staff is fantastic. My husband has long hair, and this place did not make him feel as if he was a criminal. I can't say that about the other sushi places. So we will only be going here. Love it! read more

I ate here last night. We went there because of the great reviews. I had the chicken tempura. It tasted great. It was fried chicken with fried veggies and white rice. I also had the miso soup. The next morning at 2 am I had severe bow movements that lasted till 3pm. The service was great but I can attribute my negative affects due to what I ate. I don't live in the area so I won't be back. I don't recommend this place because no one should feel what I feel after dinning. Sorry for the poor review but I didn't enjoy the after affects. read more

Something is wrong here. The reviews have to be fake. It's my fault ...the place was empty and the menu is all bogo half off lol but I went in anyways. The fried sushi extremely dry and overcooked, Regular sushi so large could barely eat.. The fried rice something wrong with it looked strange tastes "off" everything had an "off " somethings wrong I mentioned the sushi no offer for refund nothing. That is the worst to get something you really can't eat is not normal compared to any other Asian restaurant and they do nothing about it. read more

I don't know what other choices there are to eat sushi in Ocala, but this doesn't satisfy my taste. Salmon was old - warm and tasted overly fishy. Scallop tasted ok, presumably fresh, but was covered in sauce - that is pretty atypical for sushi nigiri. The best thing we ordered was the pan curry. read more

This was my first time here, and i gotta say... it was amazing! it wasn't crowded, it was clean, our waitress was a sweetheart, and the food was fresh and was on the table within a few minutes of ordering. The best dish i tried there was the peppered tuna appetizer, i highly recommend it, it was to die for. my mouth is watering just thinking about it lol the staff was very friendly and after we finished our food and paid, we sat at one of the tables outside to have a cigarette and the waitress came out with an ashtray and offered us a glass of water. i thought the gesture was really nice. hands down, Asian Pop is my new favorite sushi place. read more

Asian Pop is our go to sushi spot for Ocala. I can only give it a solid 3.5 stars because of all of the unnecessary sauce they pour on my sushi rolls! We usually call ahead for pick up. I've never had a bad meal here until I tried the General Tso bento box. The chicken was extremely fatty dark meat and inedible. Maybe they ran out of other chicken? Definitely will avoid getting this meal again. Sushi is great and most other items! Still a great place to eat! read more

A lot of their rolls have cream cheese in them which I'm not crazy about but they have a Mexico roll that was exceptional. Love their bento box lunch deal. The sashimi was great. I've been wanting to try this place out and am glad I did. My wife is picky and she loved it too. The Avacado Salad was fresh and Avacado was perfectly ripe. The Ginger Sauce has a nice twang of lemon to it. Definitely going here again. read more
