What a welcome surprise! Sushi Feast lives up to its name for sure! Fresh new decor is clean and simple with tables and booths but no sushi bar. Service was very attentive and friendly- Tina made sure to check on us regularly, keeping our table clean of extra dishes and ready to help us order more. The menu is extensive, with many options of starters, soups, salads, sushi, hibachi and more. Way too many choices to "try everything". We placed our initial order, and were shocked at how quickly our food arrived. Everything was freshly prepared, and really tasty. Standouts included the ikura, eel, scallop, and sweet shrimp. Follow up orders came just as quickly, always with a smile. The restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday later afternoon, but both the kitchen and sushi bar were not overwhelmed. My only complaint would be that if you ordered sushi rolls... you got the WHOLE ROLL - which is just so much food if you want to try a lot of different dishes. (I'd love to be able to order a half roll) Ocala needed exactly this. Keep up the great service, quality and cleanliness.

OK, so here's my problem. On Saturdays. They charge $32.95 for lunch. Plus the drink. Lunch for two was $85. When you go online and ask how much it is for lunch specifically on Saturdays it says 21.95 including drink. It was clear on their menu, and since we've already sat, we decided to eat. Japanese food already has large food margins. So there is no reason for low food quality. If you order, satay sticks They are supposed to be cooked over charcoal on a small hibachi grill. That is not the case here. Take every version of quality Japanese food. This place is not. What this place is is Chinese owned not Japanese owned. So what you will get is very low quality, low end food called Japanese. Also, the way that the wait staff explain to you. When ordering is as if all the customers that come to eat here, have never had Japanese food before. I would like sashimi please. They say you know that doesn't have rice on it, right. The sashimi was super thin not cut appetizing and was of lower quality. I would suggest that you eat any place else.

Loved it! The service was fantastic and the food matched.Ocala needed a good place that wasn't a dirty buffet and this is it.

    Crab Ragoons, Takoyaki, shrimp tempura

Food was fresh and delicious. So many seafood options and sushi! Servers were very friendly and quick with bringing out dishes. Will be back again soon! Appetizers were very good.

Edo Sushi & Japanese Steakhouse -- A Missed Opportunity for Authenticity…read more Edo Sushi & Japanese Steakhouse lands at 2 out of 5 stars, and honestly, that feels generous only because the service itself was perfectly fine. The team was polite and efficient, but the overall experience leans far closer to Japanese fast food than the immersive Asian dining atmosphere the name suggests. The biggest disappointment came from the stir‑fried noodles. The flavor told the whole story: it tasted like a massive batch had been pre‑cooked earlier in the day, with staff simply tossing in more noodles as orders came in. The result was bland, under‑seasoned, and lacking the freshness you expect from a hibachi‑style dish. Even worse, the protein portion was minimal -- in my case, the chicken felt more like an afterthought than a feature of the meal. For a restaurant positioned as a Japanese steakhouse, the experience should feel intentional, flavorful, and crafted to order. Instead, it felt rushed, generic, and disconnected from the quality you'd expect at this price point. There's potential here, but until the kitchen elevates its approach and embraces true made‑to‑order cooking, Edo Sushi & Japanese Steakhouse will continue to feel like a fast‑food interpretation of what should be a richer, more authentic dining experience.

I had Thai on one visit and sushi on the other. The Thai was decent. It didn't have a lot of spice for medium which I ordered to be on the safe side. Probably should have went with medium plus or hot. The sushi was very good. I don't know how much competition they have in Ocala but I could definitely see this being a regular spot if I lived in Ocala. Service was fine, I've got no complaints there. The one very memorable negative thing I noticed on both visits was they were absolutely blasting the AC on both visits when it wasn't anywhere near scorching outside. The first time I had on short sleeves and was near the edge of my comfort level- I nearly went back out to my rental to get a hoodie. The second time was later in the evening and it had cooled off a lot outside but the air conditioning was still working like the restaurant was on the planet Venus. Like the knob was on 11 like the amplifiers on Spinal Tap. Fortunately I was dressed appropriately this time but I did hear a large table of older ladies complain about it multiple times before bringing it to the attention of the server. Resolvable temperature concerns aside, I'd recommend the sushi here and give the Thai a second chance as well.

It's in a really nondescript location, tucked away in an old gas station store. The store was a combination of hot food and some pantry staples like gochugaru and ramen. This is located inside a gas station, so when you enter it looks like a regular convenience/gas station, but then you see the menu with all the dishes they offer. They had so many delicious items on the menu, but I only went with the Japchae. I didn't wait long, it took about 15 minutes and while I was there, I got to look around and noticed all the Korean products around the store. Once I got my food, I sat at the tables they have in a corner and got quite a bit of food. It's a good serving. After trying the Japchae, I understand now why this spot is so highly rated. The Japchae was well seasoned came with a lot of delicious veggies and a side of rice. If this spot was close by I would eat there on a weekly basis! Really great spot to check out when in Ocala.
