We visited Grace based on a friend's recommendation. We decided to go celebrate my parents 49th anniversary. We had a reservation and were seated with no problem once our whole party arrived. It was about 4:45pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was not too busy. Decor is typical of an Asian establishment. Everyone was polite and helpful. We asked for Jose as our cook he was funny and friendly we had a mix of ages, food allergies and language differences in our party, which was not a challenge or problem to accommodate. The food was hot and good like many Hibachi we have been too in the past, but nothing out of the ordinary. We all had hibachi dinners some with shirmp, chicken, filet and salmon. The salmon was a bit on the dry side but otherwise the rest was good. Trying to be in the moment I forgot to take pictures of the food. They did bring a cheesecake for the couple celebrating the anniversary which was super nice! Only thing different from others that we noticed you get a soup or salad with the dinner when other similar restaurants give you both. We would definitely come back. read more

Apologies I didnt take a photo of the food because I was just so hungry after a long days work. Its a nice welcoming ambiance with very kind hostess and server. Service was great and very attentive and the food came out Super quick. Typically food doesnt come out good when its quick like that, but man not this time. I had probably one of the top best Hibachi chicken fried rice ever. The chicken itself wasn't over nor undercooked, seasoning was Absolutley perfect together with everything it came with and that sauce... wow that was incredible. I dont care who you are, try this place. Im recommending to anybody I know. This recent move up to Ocala has me find such absolutely wonderful restaurants like this one. Grace is a mixture of hibachi and other Japanese items. I only had the sushi. It wasn't bad, but it really did not stand out. Perhaps that is how sushi is here in Ocala. I am not sure. Service was standard, so nothing good or bad to say about that either. Ambiance is interesting and it is almost like two restaurants in one. One is a sit down Japanese place, with sushi and the other is a hibachi grill. I caught a bit of the show walking out, just being curious, and did not see anything you won't get anywhere else. It was also surprising to see the entire restaurant full, except the hibachi grill. We were continuing our exploration of sushi spots in Ocala and decided to try this place out. On a weeknight, it was pretty busy still, but we were able to get a table without a problem. They have a dining room with regular tables and then a separate area for the hibachi. It looked like people were enjoying the hibachi show. Since we were on a mission to eat sushi, we went with the regular tables. The menu has a very extensive list of rolls, all pretty reasonably priced. We ordered the following: Yellowtail scallion, salmon, eel/avocado, futomaki, tokyo, and mermaid rolls. My husband really liked his yellowtail scallion. We both liked the tokyo and mermaid rolls, mermaid was our favorite though as the mango added a nice bright pop of flavor. The futomaki roll was okay, it didn't have as many ingredients inside as some other restaurants have. We also got the salmon, yellowtail, and tuna nigiri. They were all pretty decent. Overall a solid place to get some sushi if you're in the area. read more

Whether lunch or dinner, hibachi table or booth, I always enjoy eating here. Always good, friendly service, very chill atmosphere, and the food is really good. I love their clear soup, deep fried cheesecake, chicken hibachi, and their bento boxes. The ginger dressing for the salad is also pretty good, although I prefer the soup option. We have eaten dishes from here twice. The first time was takeout, we had 2 sushi rolls, 2 entrees and an appetizer. The food was excellent, well packaged, fried dishes mat aimed crispy texture on the 15 minute drive home. Seafood was fresh with no fishy smell and great texture. The second time we ate at the restaurant. Portions are generous and well priced. Service was good as well, the server attended us well without hovering or interrupting conversation. They were also very gracious about the mess of rice my toddler made, not allowing us to clean it up and insisting they would take care of it with a smile on their face. Ambiance is nice with decor, wood work, and table settings. We have yet to eat at the hibachi tables but that will be the next visit. They certainly let deserve higher ratings with their current quality and level of service. read more

I was shocked at the number of people who were in the restaurant and not in the hibachi area. I always assumed hibachi was the play, but maybe for weekday lunch, the table seating is better. I order the bento box with grilled chicken. I wasn't a fan of the veggies, the California roll was nothing spectacular and the chicken was ok. Went here yesterday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Not busy at the time so it was enjoyable. Ordered a teriyaki bento box and an order of vegetable tempura. The food was very good and the service was excellent. After reading quite a few reviews it always amazes me how some folks can criticize an Asian restaurant in Ocala, the middle of Florida. If these Asian restaurants prepared food dishes that I've grown accustomed to in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco or New York's' Chinese or Japanese restaurants the these folks would complain about price. Coming from a Chinese restaurant background I can tell these folks that some recipe items are not available locally and could be cost prohibitive to import/ship here. All in all it was a very pleasant dining experience and the owner/manager was very sociable even though he didn't have command of the English language. I'll be returning for sure . read more

Let's start by saying I'm a vegan. I purposely ordered tofu hibachi and an avocado roll like I usually do from other similar restaurants. Tonight I was shocked to see I piece of chicken buried in my dinner. Ended up tossing the rest out because I couldn't get passed the chance that there were smaller pieces remaining. Great service, however the food was not good enough for me. Just a common place. Nothing special on drinks neither.

My wife, friends and I love this place. Superb service from the wait staff. Food is delightful. The Hibachi chefs are great entertainers and definitely worth an extra tip if you decide to dine at the grill. My only complaint would be the hostesses. Patrons should never have to stand a respectful 3 feet from multiple employees in the foyer of the establishment for 10 minutes, clearly and patiently waiting, without being acknowledged. I love small businesses, including family businesses. If this is the case, a family huddle is absolutely called for. And no, it wasn't super busy. There were empty booths sufficient to reseat us immediately when my friends changed their minds and wished to pass on the hibachi grill this go-around. Young, inexperienced employees should read this review. Don't let the rest of your team down. read more

Decided to give it a try. Was really guppy with the food,but the waitress not so much. We ordered 2 drinks and she brought them to us but with no water. A group of us went there for lunch which -- of course we chose the hibachi grill --First let me say - my food was great which included the "Rock N Roll-sushi"--However -- the service was extremely slow and the cook ran out of Steaks at the end and ended up leaving our grill to retrieve another!!! Used to go to Grace when I lived in the area. The Pacific Roll is so good! It is a generous sized roll, and so yummy! I ordered the seaweed salad today. $4.95, which I think is pricey, and it was a huge disappointment. Sauce wasn't good, and portion was tiny. I love seaweed salad.
