It's like L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Panda Express, and your favorite sushi bar had a ménage toi. I came here because it's really close to LA Mission College so it was a good fit for a quick meal before returning to class. I settled on Hawaiian BBQ. The BBQ mix plate which has the same amount of food as L&L (and taste pretty much the same) is so much more cheaper here. It was a little over $7 bucks and I got a Thai iced tea with boba for $2. With tax everything was under $10. GREAT DEAL! The cheap-ass in me did a somersault. LOL The place has a hole-in-the-wall kinda feel to it. No frills on décor. Hard booths and tables. The place is not very big. There are probably 8 tables at most. You order your food at the counter and find a place to sit. The food is good and I wouldn't mind coming back to try the other stuff. There is a separate register and section of the restaurant to get Chinese food and another to get your Hawaiian BBQ and sushi. I noticed that there is one sushi chef so I'm unsure how fast sushi comes out, but from what I did see, they give generous portions on hand rolls. :) I definitely would not mind coming back to try other stuff. I'm a starving student with a cheap-ass mentality. As in tasty was my favorite go to spot for all 4 years of high school. I started going less frequently because the food always seems to be hard and cold. The teriyaki chicken is extremely boney and the sushi from 7/11 is probably better than any sushi here. Don't waste your money on the boba either it's always hard and the drinks couldn't be more watered down. I made the mistake of taking a date here.... I ordered delivery thru Eat24 and when the delivery guy arrived he said that the restaurant was trying to call me to charge me $1.50 for the extra scoop of macaroni salad that I had ordered. Because they couldn't get a hold of me to charge me, they didn't put the extra scoop of macaroni salad in my order. I told him it was fine. I tipped him $5, he dropped off the food and left. I opened the food to find that the Bbq beef and chicken plate that I ordered did not have the chicken in it. I had also asked for extra bbq sauce which was also not in the order. Then coincidentally I received a call back from the delivery guy who had he nerve to tell me that he thinks he gave me 2 drinks which were not mine and I hadn't paid for. I told him that my order was 2 bbq mix plates, 1 bbq chicken and beef plate, and 1 wor wonton soup, which is exactly what I got (minus the chicken that was missing from the bbq chicken and beef plate). I told him that they didn't put the scoop of macaroni salad because they couldn't charge me $1.50 more but then they didn't put the chicken or bbq sauce that I DID pay for. He had the nerve to tell me with an attitude that it's not him and it's the restaurant and that I won't get the extra scoop of macaroni salad because I didn't pay for it. You could have put it in a separate container and had when pay for it when you arrived at my door plus what about the chicken that you didn't bring that I did pay for. He said with an attitude that he will drive back to my house and give me the bbq sauce and he $5 tip back. I told him that he could keep the tip for his trouble and that they could have just apologized and it would have been done. It's called customer service. I called the restaurant back to speak with the manager and was told he's not there. I left my name and number and will be expecting a return call. You want return customers but you have no customer service skills. We are regulars at this restaurant but we definitely won't order or eat there again after this treatment.
