I know this is just mall fast food, but it's seriously disappointing, especially now that the Chinese food place at Panorama has closed up shop. I've eaten from here before and the quality took a major nosedive. Their "chicken teriyaki" is just chicken coated in a very generic brown sauce that doesn't taste at all like teriyaki. The fried rice was way too soggy, like they had used up too much soy sauce. The vegetables were the only somewhat decent part but that is not saying much because you can tell they had been left to steam for too long. Just save your money and eat at anywhere else. read more

I am writing this review because the owner is seriously horrible at customer service ( asian older lady ) and will not ever come back here again . I try asking for extra sauce and she gives you a nasty attitude like your not paying already for the food ? Then i go on and open the food and the chicken is all dry and hard like if they had it on the grill for a while . I love leaving positive feed back but this has been on going situation, ( i always come here ) but this place has really gone down the drain for a while .Good riddance for me on this place will not be coming back if this is how they treat customers and quality of food . I have been a fan of this place since I found it. Their teriyaki chicken it's the best but lately they have been cutting off in the amount of chicken they give out with your order. Even when you paid extra money for the chicken you still get such a small amount of chicken? I also noticed that they stopped taking debit or credit cards now they only get cash...c'mon not all of us carry cash these days. I ate for 20 min. pleasuring each bite. I walked into the mall expecting the same greasy food. I was going to eat Mongolian food because the few times I have been here that place is always crowded and I always go on bad days. Well, I turned the corner and saw the Mongolian food then in a distance I saw big red bright bold letters. Then I saw a J followed by an A then a P after another A last an N. I was like... stayed quiet... for a few min... then it hit me... OMG IT'S JAPANESSE FOOD! I ran towards the place! They were giving away free samples because of it's grand opening around this week. I so super surprised that it was real Japanese people cooking. What was awesome was that they were working HARD just like in the culture. Man you should have seen the Japanese guy cook the Shrimp and toss it, so cool! I like how he was teaching this young Latin man how to cook and the young mans had a puzzled face seeing him cook. There uniforms are so bad ass also. Nice red chefs hats and vest apron. One thing that was tuff was that the nice cashier, when taking my order, was hard to understand what he was saying because he has a thick accent, but luckily I love the culture so I understood him. At first glance when my food was ready I was disappointed with how small my order was, but I remembered that in there culture they eat in small quantities. So no biggie... Before eating I noticed how beautiful organized the food was put in, and how nice it looked. They have display pictures of the orders in fancy dishes, but I had mine in a to-go box, but even still that to-go box looked fancy. When I bit into the Shrimp... Oh man oh man! It wasn't so so dry, it wasn't a little tender it was, it felt fresh and tender, the way I can describe it is, imagine feeling shrimp at a neighborhood market, warm and being able to bite into it right away cooked. Well, I loved the shrimp, then I went for the steamed rice man... it was too sticky, it was not to steamed, or hard to swallow. It was the right way to steam your rice, it had a taste weird eh? Oh and I also had steamed vegetables those were also good. On top of all that was teriyaki sauce which sealed the deal with all three flavors. I do recommend this place because I have not seeing a good Japanese place around here close by and I am not so sure how long this place will remain there because this mall has a tendency to lose stores and have new ones. Plus there are a lot of greasy restaurants there that have been there for years. So who knows if this place will last, or not; I'm hoping it does. All in all I got full and savored the food for 20 minutes before I was done. Oh yeah, funny cause there is a Chinese restaurant next door was completely empty. The food was okay What really fried me was the fact that I was charged $1 extra for soba noodles. Nowhere on the menu does it say that soba noodles have an extra charge. The person taking my order did not tell me she was charging me extra for the noodles. The manager just brushed me off saying that they don't serve the tea any more so they are going to change the menu. What does that have to do with the issue of charging extra and not saying anything. I've been here plenty of times since my original review and since then I've learned quite a few things about this place. This place is delicious when looking for a bite inside the Panorama Mall. I frequent the place with my brother when we're in the mood for a whole lotta chicken and a whole lotta sweet teriyaki sauce. Authenticity is not Osaka's strength, despite the name. But their food speaks wonders in quantity and overall taste. The chicken isn't necessarily seasoned and practically relies on the scorching heat of the teppenyaki-style grill method to sear and caramelize it. The teriyaki sauce is simply the cherry on top. Minimal, and I love it. Add extra chicken to the big heaping serving of steamed rice and crunchy veggie mix and you have enough to feed two-three people, or one hungry dude fresh out of the gym. I love coming here despite the gluttony and slight feeling of regret that the food tummy ensues. Above average based simplicity, quantity, and sweet taste. My boyfriend and I went to this place to split a meal and we wanted to order the chicken and shrimp plate but I'm allergic to shrimp and tried to explain to the cashier if it was possible to separate the shrimp and the chicken and they were giving me such a hard time about putting the shrimp in a separate plate. I wasn't asking for them to give me more of anything, I just didn't want my food to touch the shrimp and the cashier was acting like it was an impossible task and acting like I was trying to rip them off when all the literally had to do was grab the same amount of product they would normally serve but instead of putting it together they would put the shrimp in a different plate.
