I found this place by accident. I had an appointment in North Hills and usually get off at different exit but the traffic was bad so I exit at the Balboa. It kind of looked run down but i wanted to try it because the parking lot was packed. And I'm glad I did. Parking was challenging but I found a spot near the liquor store. I ordered bulgogi, which is Korean beef. It was inexpensive, the portion is huge, and it was delicious. I ate everything that came with the lunch combo. And they take Apple Pay and the guy who had taken order was very kind. It is very tiny inside and looked kind of old but great service and good food makes up for it. Two thumbs up.

    #13. Chicken Yaki Soba

I absolutely love this local business! The owner is so kind, and I always see him working and helping out his employees. I will always support this restaurant and continuously go here. Today I tried something new, and got number 13. The chicken yaki soba, which comes with rice and some fried tempura. It's delicious, flavorful, and the consistency with their food is always at a high standard. There's a couple of seats that you can sit down and enjoy your meal, parking isn't too bad either. The vibe and ambiance of the restaurant is nice and mellow. Once again, I absolutely love this restaurant and will always support this local business.

Its teriyaki chicken. Sorry it's a mess I forgot to picture it before I started eating. It's delicious

Yesterday I saw a short on YouTube about this place and it's down the street From my Job. So I came here by accident because I was just dry around and then I saw this place. The same place I saw yesterday on YouTube and I came in And it didn't disappoint The food was good and the Asian guy who took my order was real nice. The place it's small but it's really good.

So fresh and yummy! This business is older than me and I can see why! Their food is never disappointing. Best teriyaki in the San Fernando Valley. Love supporting this business. Service was good and fast. Took it to go because we had a lot of people and the place is a little small. The food is sure worth it! Oh and I can't forget the best and most tender short ribs I have ever tasted in my life

Went to the Forneris Farms pumpkin experience and my sons were hungry. Yelp led us to some fantastic Teriyaki in Granada Hills. At first glance it didn't look like much but once inside the cooking food smells told us to order anything and sit down. It's a small, mostly a take out place, but has 3 tables for 4 inside. The home made hot & sweet sauce was on point as was their teriyaki. My boys went with the Katsu chicken. It was crispy, light and tender. Served over white rice, green salad and super crunchy tempura fries. It was excellent. My beef Bulgogi was perfectly cooked and their special hot sauce took it to perfection. I scanned the entire menu and 12 out of 16 items I'd try next time. Their combo plate of teriyaki beef, chicken and shrimp looked awesome too. We contemplated ordering more before our food was ready but as it arrived fresh out of the kitchen we knew it was enough! Each order was more than plenty and we went home stuffed. As I've often shared with my affluenza affected sons, let the quality of food be your guide and leave your worries behind, especially at Teriyakiya! The treat of the place is their super crispy, light and tasty Tempura fries! I'm full and I want more now that I'm home in Santa Monica.

If you know, you know…read more We found Corner Grille years ago, and it has been amazing every single time. It's such a unique Korean-Mexican fusion spot -- flavors you truly won't find anywhere else. The combination sounds unexpected, but somehow it works perfectly. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back.

Came back to Corner Grill to try their Korean Tacos. It was a late-ish lunch on a Saturday, yet…read morethere were still quite a few tables of people eating a variety of foods. Staff was just as friendly as before, and the place still has that lived-in, homey charm. I ordered a pair of tacos: BBQ Beef and Crispy Shrimp. Both come with shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeños, cilantro and a creamy, mayo-based sauce. The shrimp taco worked perfectly, with a crispy, tasty coating giving way to plump, fresh shrimp. The sauce melded into the cabbage, almost making a slaw you might get on a po' boy, and the peppers added a nice heat. I added a squeeze of fresh lemon, and that rounded things out nicely. It was a great bite of seafood. The BBQ Beef was less successful. The mayo and an extra dollop of chipotle mayo were too much for the small taco, and overtook the flavor of the beef. The beef had a nice flavor, but was a bit too dry, and had been chopped a bit too finely -- I would have liked larger pieces to really enjoy the flavor. In fact, others were eating the BBQ Beef plate, and the beef there looked far more appealing. So, I'm not discouraged. I'll come back for the full plate treatment, and see how things stack up. I still think this is a great place that deserves your attention and support. Good people.

That side is named Kusina Ni Kuya and has a vast catering menu. I came here for a carry out from the Cajun side and picked as I did before, the half pound shrimp. The only difference is this time, I opted for the peeled version. This was prepared in the house Kuya sauce, medium spicy, with an extra of boiled okra. The dish did not disappoint and was consistent in texture and flavor, and a glorious mixture of spices as before. This entrée has a lot of oil added to it, but that is what brings out this burst of taste and satisfaction. Everything was soaked with the thick sauce. This time what I did at home was, I boiled a few golden premium small potatoes with skin, sliced them into quarters and added it to the mix. Once it soaked up the gravy of the shrimp dish, the potatoes ascended to a totally different level. So how does the peeled version compare to the whole shrimp version? I would say that the whole shrimp selection is the way to go. The meat is not overcooked and you get the flavor off the shrimp shells too, that kicks it up more than a notch. In addition, the fact that you have to use your fingers to get to the shrimp meat (though messy), heightens the pleasure of the dining experience.

But if your feeling a bit bold, there is a closed Rite Aid across the street that has a bunch of parking. Ambiance: For starters, this there is something about the decor, very classy yet casual somewhere you can have a quiet lunch and enjoy the day. I felt at home here and at ease. The staff were great on checking up on me every now and then and made sure I was well taken of. Food: There is a lot to talk about here. The name, for all accounts did not scream Thai Food, yet, I haven't had better Thai food and the area. I stopped in for lunch and they had a such a good Lunch selection and affordable ($20) that also includes a drink. I ordered the BBQ (due to macro restrictions) paired with a small salad and rice. Level with me, BBQ chicken is something I order really to test the waters and I can honestly say, one of the better BBQ chickens I have had.
