I am SO glad this place still exists! I used to eat here back in college and was so surprised to see that not only was this place still open, it's similarly priced and tastes exactly the same. We were driving by the valley and decided to stop by to see if it was the same. We ordered the combination plate (#4) and it was so good! The meat on the chicken was slightly dry but still very tasty. Their sauces are to kill for. Be sure to ask for tempura sauce and hot sauce as those two don't come with the meal by default. Service is always friendly and efficient. The food is made to order so expect a slight wait if you are going during lunch/dinner time. I found this place by accident. I had an appointment in North Hills and usually get off at different exit but the traffic was bad so I exit at the Balboa. It kind of looked run down but i wanted to try it because the parking lot was packed. And I'm glad I did. Parking was challenging but I found a spot near the liquor store. I ordered bulgogi, which is Korean beef. It was inexpensive, the portion is huge, and it was delicious. I ate everything that came with the lunch combo. And they take Apple Pay and the guy who had taken order was very kind. It is very tiny inside and looked kind of old but great service and good food makes up for it. Two thumbs up. read more

The food here is spectacular, when I used to go to school I'd always pass this place coming back home. The fact that you can smell it from the outside is just tells you how great it is. I got the ribs, the shrimp, paired up with the white sauce. Just perfect always get white sauce yall. Service here is great, usually there is an old lady there and she's always kind. She often gives me more sauce than what I paid for which is very kind. The ambiance is nice, well lit, small but has big tables, no complaints here since the place is small. The staff is a small family they're always so friendly , happy & welcoming Very limited tables , maybe 3 , it's always clean but I recommend pick up . Also , parking is a little small there too . I absolutely love this local business! The owner is so kind, and I always see him working and helping out his employees. I will always support this restaurant and continuously go here. Today I tried something new, and got number 13. The chicken yaki soba, which comes with rice and some fried tempura. It's delicious, flavorful, and the consistency with their food is always at a high standard. There's a couple of seats that you can sit down and enjoy your meal, parking isn't too bad either. I love going to this place. I often order the tofu teriyaki served with stir fried vegetables and rice. It comes with 2 sides: tempura fries and salad with their house-made dressing. This is a hole-in-a-wall joint and the customer service is 5-star all around. The lady at the counter, who I believe is the owner, is very sweet and always smiling. Went to the Forneris Farms pumpkin experience and my sons were hungry. Yelp led us to some fantastic Teriyaki in Granada Hills. At first glance it didn't look like much but once inside the cooking food smells told us to order anything and sit down. It's a small, mostly a take out place, but has 3 tables for 4 inside. The home made hot & sweet sauce was on point as was their teriyaki. My boys went with the Katsu chicken. It was crispy, light and tender. Served over white rice, green salad and super crunchy tempura fries. It was excellent. My beef Bulgogi was perfectly cooked and their special hot sauce took it to perfection. I scanned the entire menu and 12 out of 16 items I'd try next time. Their combo plate of teriyaki beef, chicken and shrimp looked awesome too. We contemplated ordering more before our food was ready but as it arrived fresh out of the kitchen we knew it was enough! Each order was more than plenty and we went home stuffed. As I've often shared with my affluenza affected sons, let the quality of food be your guide and leave your worries behind, especially at Teriyakiya! I've driven past this place so many times I finally decided to try it. I think ordered one teriyaki chicken plate and one chicken yakisoba . The chicken was very overcooked and almost inedible. It has been a while since I have eaten here. I just ate and I'm very disappointed. It's not the same the meat taste old and chewy. Potatoes were stale and soggy. The oil that it was cooked in taste, stale, and old and then my rice was mostly cold. It was good a few years back. I will not be eating here again. It's so sad. One of my favorite Teriyaki spots in the valley, run by a nice older Korean couple. They do a deep fried tempura vegetables (mostly potato) as one of the sides and they're quite tasty. Rice is good and fluffy, and the meats are solid. Portions are small, but prices are reasonable. Salad has a very mild dressing and goes well with the meal. read more

I got my hair done in Granada Hills a couple weeks ago, and I remembered after I showed up for my 11:30 appointment that you're supposed to eat regularly when you're pregnant. I got on Yelp and looked for delivery options, as I'd be in a chair with all kinds of crap in my hair for the next couple of hours and would have to feed myself lunch at the salon. I wanted something hearty that wouldn't stink up the joint or leave me with a bunch of leftovers. Teriyakiya seemed to fit the bill, and it ended up being the right choice. I don't know what Teriyakiya looks like in person, but it struck me as an easy, quick, casual spot that was likely Korean-owned and good in an unfussy, everyday way. I was right on both fronts. I grew up on chicken teriyaki from this kind of place, so I ordered the #9, a $12.50 teriyaki lunch plate that came with chicken, rice, tempura fries, and salad. It hit the spot. The chicken was charred to the point of overcooking here and there, but it was mostly tender and tasted great, with a satisfyingly sweet sauce (if I'd been home, I would've busted out the sriracha, which is always perfect with this kind of chicken). I only picked at the sad obligatory salad, but the tempura fries were nice. I live in central L.A., so I doubt I'll ever make it to the brick and mortar Teriyakiya, but boy did it get the job done when I was hungry in Granada Hills. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty lunch, whether or not your hair is in rollers. read more
