Brisket meal, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes

Came here for happy hour on a Friday afternoon/evening. Pretty good, but not great. Got a regular meal/dinner plate. Which was actually totally not worth it. The plate was around $30. While the happy hour items were the most at $10. Stick to happy hour. The brisket tacos were my favorite. So good. The hibiscus margarita was a must try, kudos to the bartender. It was just the price of the dinner meal that got me down. It was pretty basic the meat wasn't that great. The server was a new guy. He was very friendly accommodating, and tried his very hardest which he did accomplish.

Wow, another visit to Wood Ranch in Northridge, California, near the corner of Tampa Boulevard and Plummer Street. There is always a little bit of a wait when you come here during dinner time, so I expect not to be seated right away unless you come when they're slow. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant, so the wait usually goes by pretty quickly, depending on how many people are waiting. It's really not too long. I always wait in the car with my boys until they text us to let us know that our table is ready. I decided to come here with the family, and I got the fire roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful, and the mashed potatoes and broccoli hit all the right spots and definitely satisfied my hunger. We decided to share the onion straws. As you can see in the picture, we got the family portion. It was a lot, but with a family of four and two boys, we managed to go through it. My wife shared the four beef ribs, french fries, and baked potato with her father. She said that everything they got was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. She always enjoys coming here for special occasions. The boys got chicken tenders from the children's menu with french fries. I actually tried some of their chicken from the kids' meal, and I have to say, it was pretty good. And, of course, you can't forget the famous rolls that come with the meal. I don't know what they put in these things, but you have to have some every single time you go there. As soon as they put them on the table, they're basically calling your name: "Eat me!" I also made sure the waitress brought us plenty of ranch, of course, because my boys and I love ranch with our french fries. There's plenty of parking here since the parking lot is shared with a bunch of other places around the area, such as Red Robin, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Ross. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're celebrating a special occasion or if you just want some good ribs with plenty of ranch. Wood Ranch is definitely the place to go. As for the ambience, I would say this place is decorated like a proper dimly lit steakhouse.

Beef ribs worth it, anything else meh haha. Service was great and fast. the waitress was super nice and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course they have lots of seating inside, even more than I thought they took us to the very back of the restaurant haha, I was surprised by how big this location is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love their big comfy booths as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall I say if you're craving bbq and want a nice sit down experience get the beef ribs here haha, otherwise I would look for less expensive options.

Lemon drop Martini & Skinny Margarita I love the drinks here, they're 2nd to NONE!!

Wood Ranch is one of my favorite places to stop for great drinks and outstanding service. Kris and Amanda C, who work the bar, are always amazing. We call Amanda. C, "Amanda #1" because that's exactly what she is in our book! Every time we come in, the service is top-notch. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seem happy to be there, which makes the experience even better. The drinks are consistently excellent. I was supposed to be doing a pub crawl, and Wood Ranch was only my second stop. The drinks were so good that I never made it to the third location--I ended up staying right there! I'll have to try that pub crawl again another day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for great service, a fun atmosphere, and fantastic drinks, Wood Ranch is the place to be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Second time dining here and I always love the big plate serving, baby back ribs are tender and a must have! Our server, Mario is great. he even refilled my drink 3x. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place can be noisy but fun to spend time with friends and family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom is not that tidy with all used paper towels all over the place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Otherwise, it's a good spot since it's few steps to the mall.

Love this place! Although we ordered it to go for Father's Day, it still tasted good. Ordered the chicken sandwhich this time around and it was so delicious (order it with extra coleslaw, I promise it's good)!

Come to this location often, great spot to take customers for lunch meetings. Love the BBQ at Wood Ranch, tri tip, BBQ chicken, ribs, I have not had anything I have not loved. The BBQ really makes it even tastier, one of my favs. The fresh baked rolls are a great start and just keep them coming IMO. Their peanut slaw is also always part of my sides, as you can see, I have lots of favorites here. Service is always attentive here, food comes out fairly quick, they keep the drinks filled and the bread basket full. Need more sauce, just have to ask. They do a great job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a full bar inside, decor is very ranch style, feels like an BBQ spot when you walk in with a bit upscale flare.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great for lunch or dinner, dine in or to go, food is always great. Recommend you try them out if you have never been. Sorry I did not get many pics on this one. Was with a client and would have been tough to get the pics I normally like to, next time. Enjoy!

Mmmmmmm their prime rib is yummy!!

Just an update: Everything is still up to par here at Wood Ranch!! Service is fabulous and the taste of the food here is still tasty as ever!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great fun atmosphere here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In my eyes I think my portion size is still great, however my hubby thinks the beef ribs are just a tad bit smaller. I'm just sharing his opinion on that part.

Service is usually consistent which I like. I like their bread rolls, onion strings, and the baby back ribs. I recently tried their pull pork which was alright. Their buffalo cauliflower is good!

I ordered the Buckey Burger with Mac and Cheese and had a Tarantula Hill Liquid Candy beer. Our server Ian was well attentive and gladly checked with the kitchen about our food allergy. The Buckey burger was perfectly grilled and juicy. Bbq sauce was nice and smokey and not too sweet. The beer was a nice companion to the burger. The mac n cheese was delicious. Creamy and not dry. It was early evening and not too chilly so we opted to sit outside. It was nice and the tables were well kept. A very enjoyable dinner.

Came in on a Saturday night with no wait time for a party of 4 Our waiter Jr was upbeat, checked in as needed, and overall pleasant. Nothing but positivity. Our group ordered a full slab of baby back ribs, brisket, Asian chicken salad (one size- large) , and the kids chicken tenders. First off the complimentary garlic rolls are soft and buttery! Good and keep em coming. The meat was falling off the bone and surprisingly the breading on the tenders was light/crispy/flavorful. The salad was refreshing, I enjoyed the jicama crunch and sweet mandarins, plus there was plenty of chicken tossed in as well. Overall, pretty good dinner.

One of my San Fernando Valley favorites. Note: it is one of the few chain/franchise bbq restaurants that offers beef ribs! Came here with my husband and sister-in-law. Our server, Ashley, was friendly and polite. As always, dinner is off to a great start with warm, soft buttery rolls. Cocktails are nice here. The Old Fashion seemed to be the most frequently served. Surprised they couldn't make a Negroni - they no longer stock Campari. Tried the Berry Smash which was refreshing and satisfying. We ordered a half-order of onion straws, 2 rib and roasted chicken combos (sides were fries, peanut coleslaw and baked beans) and 1 order of ribs plus the Natalie salad. Their coleslaw is my favorite of all with a light, sweet and tangy vinaigrette, peanuts and scallions. As usual, I ordered my ribs crisp, sauce on the side, but this time they were too crispy aka burnt. The chicken also was a little too charred although I hadn't requested any changes. Everyone else's order was fine. The restaurant has ample seating and accommodate large and small groups. A little too cold to sit on the patio at night but we look forward to warmer weather. Overall, a good evening with the exception of the overcooked meat.

Great family-friendly restaurant to visit before or after shopping at Northridge mall. They offer complimentary garlic rolls that are warm, fluffy, and served with a side of barbecue sauce. My favorite starter is the crispy buffalo cauliflower, it's delicious and comes with ranch, buffalo sauce, carrots, and celery. I also ordered the Caesar salad with chicken which is available in both half and full portions. It was fresh and perfectly dressed. Our server was super sweet and attentive.

There was a grad party going on so I thought that's why we had to wait. People were yelling at each other inside an outside of the bar. The bartender disappeared while we were waiting though, so we went down the street to sugar sweet. I assumed the party wasn't a normal thing so decided to try again. It was a different bartender. She made me my drink quickly an it was good. Being in there longer just let me look at how rough the joint is. It looks like they started the floors an haven't finished yet. If you walk by the bathrooms it reeks of urine. There's a solo booth by the darts that looks like it's falling apart. Seems like most people here are regulars and don't really mind.
