Along the way Ann provided my husband and I all the opinions we needed (it's not like we've ever done this before!). I really wanted to see it come together, but I was definitely disappointed. 1) First, I found it really hard to reach Ann and have timely communication 1-2 months before the wedding day. Emails correspondences often took 7-10 days to hear a response; communication just felt tough. I had a lot of anxiety just because I wouldn't hear back for a long time... 2) On the wedding day, Ann's crew actually came late to the wedding venue. And even though our wedding coordinator gave very clear instructions and measurements for the decoration needs, it was like Ann's team was underprepared or just didn't give a lot of thought towards our event. We had given measurements to have benches covered and tied down with ribbons, but on the day, we saw cloths that were too small in size, and not enough ribbons. Anyone could tell it was inconsistent... 3) Ann's team left the wedding site without checking out with the wedding coordinator to make sure everything was good to go. When our wedding coordinator came back to check on things, she basically had to re-do some of it because the tablecloths and decor were messy and disorganized. 4) In our contract, we paid for a sweetheart table. But on the day of the wedding, all we got was a foldable rectangular table. Obviously our guests couldn't tell and it was fine, but it was not what we had paid for and agreed upon. This is very upsetting. 5) Our flowers looked like they had been sitting out for a while. When I received them, they looked a bit wilted. I understand we encountered a heat wave during our wedding weekend, but I was disappointed in the flowers we got (brides bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, and garland.) 6) We had requested our groomsmen boutonnières be made in a smaller size because our groomsmen were wearing dresses and we wanted something lighter. But on the day of, the boutonnières were still huge and and the stems were very long. We had to find something to cut the stems... I really wanted to like working with Ann and her team. But I did not feel like she gave us much attention and care towards our event and planning - and it should have been a red flag from the lack of communication.... but I had wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. read more

Wow.... if only I could describe how INCREDIBLE Ann and her team are. Ann, the lead designer, was like a saving grace/fairy godmother for me. I had a tight budget, a short timeline due to COVID, no wedding planner, and a lot of inexperience and little vision and yet Ann came to the rescue and truly saved the day and made my wedding such a beautifully elegant, classy, and extremely quality event. Ann and her team do not skimp out on the quality of every material they use and you can easily tell that everything is the highest tier quality (from the drapes to the centerpieces to the flowers, they were all perfect). Compared to everyone else I was looking at, her work was clearly the best in appearance and quality, and at a very very fair rate for what they offer and the extra miles they are willing to take for your event. Ann was also so comforting and continuously let me know that I wouldn't need to worry about any small details as she would be more than happy to take care of it on her own. Decorations- Even though our wedding only had a three month window to plan, Ann made the process easy and effortless. She was initially recommended by our venue, Pacific Lighthouse in Alameda. The manager there had ample experiences working with Ann's professional team and they were very happy with her work. When I first met Ann, I was in the beginning stages of planning my wedding and didn't have a solid plan on how I wanted my wedding to be. We met at her beautiful showroom in San Leandro and she showed me a ton of photos of her previous work and I was able to quickly choose a theme. From there, we built up the services and decorations that I would need to achieve my goals. Being an expert in the wedding planning business, she offered great suggestions and insights on how to add design flairs and elegant touches to my plans. There were a lot of little details to consider, but I never felt pressured to add anything that didn't suit my needs. I also had a Vietnamese/Chinese wedding portion to my wedding and Ann even had decorations and special trays available for that. She was extremely easy to communicate with and accommodating with making changes in plans. When I entered my venue on my wedding day, the decor was way better that I could have imagined. Beautiful all around! Photography- Her company also offered photography services. Two photographers came to my house and the venue and stayed with us for the entire day. They traveled with us to several locations around the bay. They took beautiful action photos as well as posed photos. The photographer was an excellent communicator and was able to direct poses that made us look natural. The head photographer also spoke Chinese and Vietnamese and was able to coordinate large family photos. The photobook that came with the package was beyond beautiful, made out of thick quality photo paper with a beautiful layout. Dress Rental- Although I ultimately chose to go with a store bought dress, Ann also provided options for dress rentals. I was able to pick out a large selection of dresses from catalog. From there, she brought the dresses to her office. I was able to try on the dresses, with her pinning them to see how it would fit if alterations were needed. These were beautiful dresses and I had one that I really liked. However, even though I didn't intend on buying a dress, one did catch my eye and I ended up not renting with her. Overall- 1. Great Communication- texts and calls back quickly. 2. Professional looking decorations 3. Beautiful Photos I am so glad that I got to work with Ann.
