I found Lanny's business card at a restaurant and decided to call her. We spoke on the phone and later met in person to discuss the wedding. At first, I felt completely clueless, but Lanny was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Her pricing is very reasonable and more affordable than other places I checked. She was also very responsive via text, which I appreciated compared to other vendors. Lanny is easy to talk to, and I would recommend both texting and speaking with her on the phone or in person. Sometimes it's harder to explain things through text, so having both forms of communication helps. You'll have text to refer back to and phone conversations for clarification. On the day of my wedding, everything was perfect. We can't thank Lanny enough for doing such an amazing job and being so kind and patient with us throughout the process. Lanny has many years of experience working so many vendors. We were at ease knowing she had worked with our venue and sort of let her take the reins. During consultation, Lanny shared many suggestions to help ensure our wedding venue didn't look lacking, busy, or tacky. We were most greatly appreciative and impressed when she had called us to notify us about a new color of chair covers she had just added to her collection. Originally we had planned for white chair covers, but we are so thankful that Lanny went above and beyond and told us about the burgundy covers as she received them. The burgundy chair covers were absolutely on theme with our simple/romantic Christmas (gold, burgundy, blush) theme and made the ambiance much more magical. Our basic package included the decorations to the check-in table, photo backdrop, sweetheart table, cake table, 3-tier'd cake, and stage backdrop. Lanny also has all the tea ceremony rentals and ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) available. We had already booked our DJ and Photographer before we got to Lanny, but her other services/connections include all other aspects of wedding planning. She is a one stop shop for all your wedding planning needs. Since it is covid, we weren't sure if cake tasting was an option. Lanny coordinated with the bakery and allowed us to try small square pieces of cake. Although it required us to pick up the different flavors on different dates, it was worth the patience and effort to work together. We couldn't try everything, but we did narrow down to 4 specific cake flavors we knew we'd like to try. My husband and I chose Lanny Bridal as our wedding decorator (stage backdrop, photo backdrop, drapes to separate the ceremony and reception area, guestbook table, sweetheart table, cake table, table linens, chair linens, centerpieces) and photographer/filmographer. Working with chi Lanny was so easy. She was responsive via phone and texts. She helped ease a lot of my anxiety and reassure me that everything would be beautiful as I was envisioning. The end result was beyond what I imagined. She made choosing decor so easy. She has albums of samples to choose from and you can customize them based on what you're looking for. I had pictures and ideas for how I wanted the centerpieces to look (I wanted a high low effect due to our venue having high ceilings) and she fulfilled that perfectly. She was honest with us about what would look good and what wouldn't. We told her wanted an elegant vibe and she helped us make that dream come true. She also helped supply us with things for our Vietnamese ceremony, which was so helpful since I am pretty Americanized and have no clue what is really needed for the Vietnamese ceremony. The cake we ordered through Lanny was AMAZING. We got a 4-tier cake and ALL of it was gone by the end of the night. We got raved reviews on how good our cake was. We liked that we could sample the different flavors beforehand. We also got to give them a cake topper to add to the cake for us. Going through Lanny for our photographer/videographer was also much more affordable than going elsewhere. We got 1 hour photos and the photographer/videographer was with us all day. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect.. our communication did not go smoothly. However, Lanny followed through with her promise that the wedding would look lovely. I got married July 2017, I was my own wedding decorator and planner. I was frustrated and unsure about all of my wedding decisions, one of my biggest worry was that the wedding would look plain or distasteful. I was very hands on when it came to the decorations, and there were times when Lanny had to tell me that I was getting carried away. Lanny is organized, caring, and sweet. She was always available when I needed her, may it be by phone or in person. She often showed me examples of her design intent. I met with Lanny about 5 times (2 times the week before the wedding) to confirm decisions that were made, this put me at ease. On the day of the wedding, she delivered. In contrast to other reviews, I found Lanny to be friendly, helpful, and very flexible. I'm sure it helped that my friend's Vietnamese parents had worked with her before and introduced me. If you want exquisite (and expensive) stuff for your wedding, this is probably not your place. If you want decent, very budget-friendly decorations (and much more, but I can't comment on anything else) done by someone who is experienced and dependable, go to Lanny. She has huge albums full of photos for flowers and every possible decoration you could want for your reception. I wasn't too fond of her bouquets, but the centerpiece flowers looked nice. She ended up doing our chair covers (and cut enough silver sashes for 220 chairs especially for my reception because I wasn't as fond of the silver she sashes already had), cake/head/guestbook table decorations, ceiling decorations with lights, and centerpieces (orchids and a candle floating in shallow glass vases for $13 each - hard to beat that). I called several times to make changes, and Lanny was flexible and easy to work with. I'm so glad we hired her to take care of decorations instead of stressing over doing them ourselves with the help of many friends. I booked Lanny and her crew for restaurant decorations, flowers, centerpieces, and cake (a package deal) for my wedding. I gave her specific pictures for the 2 backdrops that I wanted and she said she can do it for me but it won't be 100% exactly like the pictures. I was ok with it and left with semi low expectations. She was really good at reminding me to pick out stuff and suggesting what type of stuff she thinks is pretty. She also gave me more stuff than I requested for the tea ceremony (which I never thought about requesting) so it made my dad really happy to see all the traditional stuff he could arrange with for our alter. The morning ceremony mâm qu and khăn look well kept. My dad really like the gate. I'm not a big fan of flowers so the bouquets look fine to me..good enough to take pictures. I came into the restaurant and I was so amazed at the beautiful decor. I chose the coral theme and was so happy with the outcome! The two back drops that I requested did not look exactly like the pictures but she added her own touch in it which made it so pretty! We were a little late in planning for our wedding, but due to our new born, we had to have the wedding sooner than later. We came to Lanny, with a blank piece of paper, provided our wedding date, and off she went! She provided several options and packages and we chose from there. We then started to shop around for other items such as make-up, and video and photographer. however, after shopping around about 2 weeks later we asked for photographer and video to be added to our package. late add-on ? sure why not! Lanny got the photographer and video added and they were great!. three weeks before the wedding we still had no make up for my wife, and party. Again, Lanny! can we add make up too? Lanny helped and provided make up too. Lanny and her team helped with wedding dress, church decorations, restaurant decorations, and all floral decorations. She also helped with photos for church and off site photos as well as video (blue ray btw!), She made my wife and family look beautiful with make up, and along the way she helped with my daughters Baptism, which was on the same day / Ceremony as our wedding!!!!. She consistently updated and called me with decisions and choices. and as we were talking about different things for the event, she would just add extra decorations and or floral items with no additional charge! as someone who was indecisive and wanted a seamless stress free planning. A one stop wedding store, my first thought... hmm, definitely unique. This place probably caters out to the ones who are on an extremely frugal budget. The more and more I think about it, the less and less it makes sense... how can there just be a one stop store? I decided to check this place out because I was curious as to how they can pull all this off. When we walked in, we were "greeted" by a non-smiling lady. Here's how most of the conversation went: Me: Do you rent wedding dresses? Her: Yes. Go there and look. *points* Me: What about the different sizes? Her: *points* (I browse around really quickly and notice that all the wedding dresses seem to be catered towards the non-petite brides and most are a bit more old fashioned looking.) When she realized that I was just not that interested in the dresses on the rack, she brought out a magazine with the prices and said look here. I rummaged through the magazine, not seeing any updated styles and placed it down. Any of the dresses hung on the "rack" where she pointed at were about $200-250 for rental. A brand new David's Bridal dress could start as low as $310. Her: You no like? Me: No, I don't see the style I like here. Her: What your style? Me: It's not in here. Do you have wedding cakes? (Honestly, because she does not believe in smiling, she already lost my interest in us giving her our money.) Looking at the prices of the dresses in the magazine, you can go to David's Bridal and have your own dress there (to keep!) for the same price. Fiance: Wow, who does the wedding cakes? Her: My sister. Fiance: Where do you guys bake it? Her: Home. Fiance: You must have a big kitchen. Her: Yes. (She still hasn't cracked a smile out yet.) We asked about videography and she just gave us the prices... the entire day costs $1100 and just the reception costs $700. Is this a good deal? No, probably not. I think their videographer is a family friend. Now, if you're into a mediocre wedding where they basically provide everything you are looking for and you're really not into being treated like good customers, come here. If not, I would recommend looking elsewhere, cause that's what I'm going to be doing. Chair covers are cheap... so are boutonnieres, but I dunno about the quality.
