It was 5 pm already when I called, and I was there around 5:30 pm, the last call for a smog check is 5:45 pm. The service is quick and I should mention it only costed my $50, gosh which is so so much more affordable for a 2011 Toyota Camry. I was so happy to call around and check before going into some random smog check place and getting charged. The price is $50, I had called and almost went to the closest place nearby that they will charge $79 for the same service. The smog check is quick, in about less than 15 minutes and I'm done. They also do oil changes and are willing to help you with whatever problem you have with your car (I mean I'm not sure, just ask and they're welcome to help). I don't normally go out to any place to allow them to touch my vehicles. This place came highly recommended and trusted by my long time friend and mechanic at Garage Cats. When I first brought my classic Porsche the smog was just a test because the car sat for over a decade. We definitely failed the first two attempts. First being a Gross Polluter. CO was initially high and we installed a new Catalytic converter. The second attempt was also failed after the new cat because of some air leaks leaning out the system and causing high NOx. Our smoke test indicated the air to oil separator (AOS) and DEAD -O2 sensor were the major contributors. After some new seals the car went from NOx close to 2000+ down to a single digit of (3). I can't thank these gentlemen's patience with me from calling and calling, their machine being broken and now the car is legally Registered in California. Don't go to other smog shops. Nothing but positivity for my smog test here. I went to my usual spot and no one was there. I then found Winnetka Smog on Winnetka in Yelp. The nice gentleman there said it was a 45-minute wait, which would be fine but it was a hot day and they would close eventually. He recommended I visit their nearby location -- ASM Test on Parthenia. I drove over off of Parthenia to several garages and found ASM. (Not to be confused with the popular ASMR.) There was a car being serviced but I was helped right away for a smog check. Everything was reasonable and there was a small waiting room in the back. I paid and was on my way. The DMV just wants an authorized location to perform the smog check and this one works just great. read more

Smogged 3 cars here in the past 2 years. Most recent a 07 Toyota Matrix. Pulled in around 11am. 2 guys there real friendly, helpful and nice to chat with while waiting. Smog done pretty quickly since my Toyota is in tiptop shape. They also smog older cars here which use a different system. Got my 86 Nissan 720 done here originally. They advised me to fill up my tank with the high octane gas and drive my truck to Simi Valley and back to heat up the catalytic converter real good before the smog. Truck just barely passed. If I had taken it somewhere else I may not have got some helpful advice before the smog. I'll smog the rest of my cars here when they are up in the future. I don't quote prices because older cars and trucks can be more expensive to smog but my 07 Toyota was cheap! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! What a wonderful and professional place. I called ahead and he explained that there was a 20 min wait. We got there and they were indeed very busy. We asked if we could leave the key and walk to the next deli for a quick bite and he's said "no problem". I saw the sign on the side of the road offering a $29 deal for smog "test only". so I brought my F250 Supercab truck in for a check. The person who I spoke to said it would be "$50 out the door, because it's a heavy duty truck". I didn't argue because the price is still under what other places charge, so I was ok with it. Having said that, there is nothing extra that is done on a heavy duty vehicle that I could see. He pulled the truck up onto the rollers, hooked up the sensor, ran it up to speed, and gave me the receipt. Interesting..... All in all an ok experience, I'll report on price and service on the regular sized vehicle when it comes time to get it smogged. read more

Great experience! I called before and got quoted a price by Juan - very reasonable compared with other places. Apparently the older the car, the more expensive the smog check is. So call in for a quote before you come in! When I came in, there were no other cards, so I think the whole appointment took less than 15 minutes. Jun was very friendly and polite. You wait in an AC room, complete the documentation and pay. Juan also highlighted the payment date on the renewal notice as a reminder. He was also super nice and moved my car so it was easier to get out of the lot - there are quite a few other businesses with lots of cars. Highly recommend! read more

Beware! If your car fails, he will not do the recheck!! We did repairs after our car failed here. My husband was advised to drive the car for 100 miles before the recheck. When he went back to Juan for the recheck after running the car for 100 miles, Juan told him he doesn't have the gas bottles to run it. Later that week, I drove the car again for 100 miles then called Juan to ask if he's available to do the Smog, he said yes there's only one car, come over. He didn't know that it was for a recheck. When he found out, he again said he doesn't have the gas bottles and can't run the recheck and wouldn't tell us when he can do it. We have to pay somewhere else now to get the recheck for smog certification. read more

I saw their coupon on line for $26.75 while the notes stated $24.75. So I called in to check on the price. The guy answering was very rude stating that " I can't comment on the online coupon, just bring it in. I have to go" and hung up. Never got a chance to even ask a question. I rather pay a little more, which is $29.75 in many online coupon than give my business to this place. They need to learn how to do business, because a happy customer comes back and brings more business but an unhappy one tells many others about their bad experience.
