I went in with my wife, as we both had pending appointments and upon leaving we spoke with the finance guy about my options. I called numerous times and kept being routed to leave a voicemail, which I did. I waited an hour and called back, finally getting through to someone in the office, just be be told she would leave a note for him to call me back. I waited 2 hours, called back and the answering service person puts me on hold and then comes back on to tell me to leave a voicemail?! What establishment won't answer the phone, won't call you back, tell you to leave a message, and stop answering the phone altogether because it's 15 minutes til closing?? ***Updated Review*** They've now done the most heinous thing ever: I paid for my itemized procedure upfront, then a month later I see a statement saying | owe $278.60 after they essentially billed my insurance again for what they'd already done! I paid and they maxed out my insurance by double billing me, so the insurance kicked it back and I got left on the hook with what they tried billing! I still can't forgive the female Indian doctor that acted too good to answer a question after making me wait an hour with oral gel in my mouth. I asked her if I can ask a question after the procedure She laughed and said "what do you think is happening here? You're having surgery in your mouth." I laughed along because I didn't realize she was belittling me at the time. So I was like "okay then let me ask you now, my husband is also a patient here and needs some antibiotics, is that possible? He can't be seen until after January due to coverage issues" (ps my husband has language barrier which is why I'm asking on his behalf) The doctor sighs and says "you had all this time and you decide to ask me now?" She starts taking off her gloves "maybe you should ask these questions and I'll come back I start panicking because I already waited an hour on that chair waiting for her to start the procedure and she's punishing me for asking a question. I had stellar service/treatment at the Aspen Dental on Cape Cod, which was why I chose them for my current dental emergency (loose crown). The last appointment of their day, the whole entire office just wanted to leave. I never saw the office manager for over an hour. The dentist gave me a false diagnosis as they wanted/tried to get me to have a costly surgery in their below standard office. The tech was inept and quite clueless as to what she was doing. Both female dentist and office manager were condescending and rude. The office manager informed me, "You have a past due balance!" which was not true, as the only balance I incurred was the one from the current visit. I consulted with a periodontist by phone the day after and was informed that the diagnosis and recommended treatment was entirely false and "most risky" to have performed in an Aspen Dental office. These people are unscrupulous and unethical. They also violated another patient's privacy/HIIPA in my presence. I've reported them to Aspen Dental headquarters (however, they are a franchise) and also to the state agencies that govern them. read more

I went to Aspen 8 months ago after losing a bridge. They then conned me onto 6500.00 dollars' worth of work including bone graphs that were never done. I went back after a week and told them the temp denture was rubbing and causing a sore. The dentist heard this, turned around and left and the front desk person told me I would have to live with it. Six months later they called and said I was ready for my permeant denture. I was then told I had to pay an additional 400.00 dollars before they would continue. When I ask what I had paid for I was told that was only for my 20 minutes in the chair. I ask to speak to the office manager and was informed she would call me back. It never happened. This was not surprising since none of my calls were ever returned. I was told I had a credit on my account of 450.00 dollars and was told they could only return it to the finance company. I told him I had paid them off and basically Michael said "I don't know what you want me to do". This was the worst dental experience in my life. I know posting this will do nothing since they ignore all their one star reviews. Hopefully someone will be saved for making the same mistakes I did. read more

This establishment is committing insurance fraud through over-billing and deception. I paid for my son's treatment in full as well as a cleaning that is fully covered by insurance and they're still trying to get more money even though I informed them that cleanings are covered 100% from our dental insurance. The office is refusing to give my son the straightening trays that we've already paid for because they want to give him another cleaning to bill us AND our insurance again. This office got the nerve to disappear summer 2023 when I had to come in and do a filling. I called them several times and they never answered. Never called me to apologize about disappearing on the day of my appointment. THEN a year later they send me a random bill talking about I owe them money for a cleaning where they poked my mouth 8 times to numb me. I'm going to check my payments from that time because I'm positive I paid these people. Because they didn't see me that day in the summer after my cleaning, I actually had to wait longer to get a filling which ended up turning into a root canal. These people are ridiculous. read more

I've read some of the negative reviews and am glad I did not read them before going there, or I might not have gone. I experienced professionalism and genuine kindness from everyone there. In addition, they have the most advanced equipment I've ever seen. It's nothing like it used to be going to the dentist. They create 3-D images of your teeth, and it's truly astounding. If there is anything going on with your teeth, they will see it. I'd like to throw a shout-out to Lilly who asked me to review the office. She made me feel comfortable, which is a bit of a challenge for anyone at a dentist office. I don't go often, because I hate dentist's offices. The office provided me with a low-ball estimate and failed to get a pre-estimate from my insurance so that I would have an idea as to what was covered and what was not. I don't understand why I wasn't notified about this the day before. I understand their system was down, but there's always a way to contact people. This is inexcusable. Not good practice! I'll start off with saying that all of the technicians and receptionists here were very nice to me. However I came here because my filling had come out of my back molar so I had a giant hole in my tooth for over a month that luckily wasn't causing any pain. I told them this when I made the appointment and when I showed up that I was sure I had some other dental work I needed done but I just wanted to get my filling fixed or at least a temporary fix until I could go to my dentist in my home state. They offered free x rays and dental cleanings for new customers - I got the x rays, never got the free cleaning... then they refused to fix my filling unless I got a crown (upwards of $1,000) and even then they wouldn't do it that day even though I told them exactly what I was coming in for beforehand. But then they gave me a bill for around $13,000 of dental work that I "needed" saying I needed like 6/7 crowns, a root canal, etc etc. so I left in tears with a giant hole still in my tooth, no free cleaning like they promised, and was sent a $30 bill for some cancer screening I did for my mouth. This is now the second dentist I've gone to in Austin that never fixes my initial issue, claims I have tens of thousands of dollars of dental work, and then bills me afterwards anyways. It's cheaper, better, and puts me more at ease to just fly home twice a year to go to my old family dentist who actually knows what he's doing, fixes my problem, and doesn't try to milk out tens of thousands of dollars from me. So thanks for nothing I guess? Also I did not end up needing a crown like they so heavily tried pressuring me to do to fix the hole in my tooth, I just needed another filling. read more

i was seen on an emergency basis and I have insurance. So my total treatment plan was far, far more than most people have on hand at any one time. I wanted to complete treatment for the reason I made the visit and when I didn't want to commit to a line of credit, the office manager became condescending. So I will seek treatment at another office where the staff will actually help you in an emergency without trying to squeeze thousands of dollars out of you on the very first visit. read more

They did not provide me with any documentation that I would be charged this like they said they would. Everyone I spoke to was extremely unhelpful. I called in Aspen Dental off Parmer/I35 having excruciating pain, and the office made arrangements to see me the same day. I was prepared to be told that I needed a lot of work to be done due to a number of reasons, negligence being the biggest one, and that's exactly what I was told by Dr. Aanvi. Sadly, due to my past experience with terrible, rushed and careless male dentists, I was really nervous coming into a new office with no personal referral or reference from anyone. I picked this office only because it was close by and I was in so much pain. However, by a rare streak of luck, it was so refreshing to be taken care of by a true professional. Someone who knew immediately what was wrong, took extra care to refer me to other specialists for second opinions and get the work done correctly the first go around!! I was educated and handled with care. I think everyone can agree that dental appointments are not particularly enjoyable, but Dr. Aanvi and her staff took extra care to ensure I was comfortable. They even gave me a blanket and took breaks so I just adjust and relax. I got permanent crowns on their way, and they have a permanent client!! read more

Do not waste your time. Called to book an appointment for a basic cleaning . Even told them that I have braces ..was told that it wouldn't be a problem. But only to first off be given bad directions. Once I did make it in the front desk staff was absolutely amazing... as well as the dental assistant... on the other hand the dentist herself was very unprofessional and rude ! They proceeded to tell me that the hygienist wasn't available to do my cleaning and that I was gonna need my wires removed to get treatment... (which I already knew that) but was told I didn't have to. This place is ridiculous lol ... then on top of all that the Dentist said she didn't want to continue with my exam! And the office manager I assume asked me to reschedule at another location.. like really! I politely said no thanks and left. Needed periodontal work done -- had the work completed in Dec. but opted to get a second opinion for the other work recommended. The second quote came in at a fraction of the cost of Aspen's. In addition, the periodontal work was done so poorly, it needed to be redone and wouldn't be covered by insurance. I spoke to the office manager and the corporate office. I received no phone calls from either. Now they're billing me for $350 not covered by insurance for work that had to be performed again.
