I bit down and literally broke my upper dentures IN HALF! I work with the public so presentation is everything and having NO TEETH was not an option. I called everywhere and everyone. My own Aspen Dental location could not get me in for 2 weeks which meant 2 weeks of broken dentures. Ugh! I called Aspen Dental in Eastgate and they were able to squeeze me in immediately and made a stressful, scary situation so much better!! A few hours later and I had literally gotten my smile back!! Worst dental experience I've ever had. Took six weeks from initial exam and Xrays to get in and see the Dentist that handles Root Canals and Caps. Only to be told he doesn't think it will work, he recommends an extraction of the tooth. I've already been billed for a Root canal. Have too wait another week and a half to see the Dentist who does extractions. Only to get the run around again. They charged me five grand and all I got was trays and excuses! read more

This place as far a dentistry goes is a scam. I had a filling come out and was able to get an appointment right away (with the indication I needed a tooth repaired). When I got to the appointment, I received pretty standard care. The hygienist came in to look at my overall gum health and gave her recommendation. While she sort of had a rude tone, that truly didn't offend me. The dentist then came in and went over my xrays and looked at my teeth. Identified that I did need a filling replaced, a minor filling and to get a deep clean scheduled. He left, the office manager then came in took me to her office, to then sell me on financing what my out-of-pocket expense estimate would be. I told her I just wanted to get appointments scheduled and then pay exactly what my insurance wouldn't cover with a bill. She proceeded to tell me I had to pay 60% (insurance was already estimating paying about 80-85%) of the cost in order to SCHEDULE an appointment for cleaning and repair. I spent an hour and a half of my morning to not even get my teeth cleaned or the tooth repaired I made the appointment for because I would not pay up front. This was by far the most outrageous experience I have had at any healthcare facility. There are so many options for dentist in this area, I recommend you choose one of those. read more

I had a filling pop out and tooth was very sensitive and I was going out of town in 2 days but luckily I got an appt with Aspen Dental Eastgate, or so I thought. I got there 15 minutes early for my appt and still waited 45 minutes to be brought back and sat in the chair for another 20 mins before the dentist looked at my tooth and said it would be an easy fix. sat there another 20 mins before a lady in billing said they are closing soon and won't be able to get to me today. So now I'm left with a broken sensitive tooth for at least the next 10 days. Horrible experience and would advise people to avoid at all costs, not the cleanest of places either. read more

Aspen dental has put me in a horrible situation with my finances and my self-esteem. They told me that I needed a front tooth pulled as a crown was not appropriate. I expressly told them I did not want to leave the office without a front tooth and was horrified by that idea. They assured me that they could provide me with a partial that they could put in the same day so that I wouldn't have to walk around without a FRONT tooth, while I had fillings done and explored permanent options to replace the tooth. I underwent the procedure and although they did have a partial for me that day, it was ill fitting, not shaped like my other teeth, the pallet was so thick and long it kept triggering my gag reflex so much so that I could not tolerate it. I called about having the pallet thinned or adjusted and they were completely apathetic. I was told that I just had to get" used to it." I CAN NOT get used to it. I paid $500 for the partial and I CAN NOT use it. I asked about having a bridge put in and was told that they would not work on me again until I had a $3000 deep cleaning done. I paid my portion of the $3000 only to be told that insurance denied their portion. After some back and forth, I found out that insurance didn't deny it, they had the wrong insurance information as my work switched carriers since my first visit. There is a BIG difference between being denied and being told that there is no coverage. Having to go back and forth with them several times to figure this out wasted valuable time. The whole time I'm wondering why it wasn't submitted to insurance before the procedure so that we would know if it was covered in the first place. This would have immediately signaled that I needed to update my insurance information. I asked for a call back after the claim was resubmitted and reviewed. After two weeks not hearing anything, I called and chose the option to speak with someone about my bill instead of the option to speak with someone in the Eastgate office. This took me to someone outside of the Eastgate office. I explained my situation and asked if they had heard from my insurance company yet. She put me on hold and when she returned, she informed me that she had JUST resubmitted my claim. The office manager of the Eastgate office never resubmitted it!!! I'm walking around with no front tooth and they had not even resubmitted the claim, but they sure as hell sent me bills in the mail, and text messages stating that my bill was due!!!! In the meantime, they won't schedule my fillings or my bridge until the bill is settled. I asked her what the next steps were and she said I should call back in about two weeks to see if there had been any update to my claim. I'm beyond mad and feel beyond exploited. After reading other reviews on here I now wonder if I even needed the deep cleaning or if they were just trying to rack up the charges. So now I have a partial that doesn't fit and I can't wear, a missing front tooth, a bill of over a $1000 still pending, and a dentist that will not do any other work until I pay. Honestly, I don't trust them with the insurance claim. I'm worried they will not backdate the submission to when I had the work done before the first of the year and it will come out of the benefits that renewed in January. If that happens, I will have considerably less if any coverage at all to try to get a bridge done somewhere else. read more

If you have cash to pay them then Aspen is ok. But if you want a dentist that will promise you everything and lie about if your insurance covers a procedure then go with Aspen dental. They will tell you your insurance will cover it just so you get the procedure done. Dont trust them at all. Unprofessional, apathetic and rude. I made an appointment for the following day. That called to get my insurance information, I gave it to them. The next day I went for my appointment but couldn't find the building. I called to get directions and that's when they told me my appointment had been canceled because I didn't confirm it. I did not know this and was not told when I made the appointment the DAY before. They rescheduled me for a week later. I arrived at my appointment 25 minutes early. I waited 45 minutes before the called me back. I was told the dentist would see me in a few minutes. Instead t waited another 45 minutes and no dentist. When I inquired why it was taking so long I was told by a trio of laughing assistants that they had only one doctor and he had 8 other patients. Frustrated I left. If at any interaction they had apologized and communicated with me I would not have left. I would not recommend this company in a million years. read more

I was scheduled for a dental cleaning at 2:30 pm on a week day. When I was emailed to confirm the appointment; it had been changed to 2:00 pm. I would not have been able to make it until 2:30 and had even scheduled time off work to make that work. Then I was contacted the same day of the appointment at about 11:00 and asked if I would be able to come in at 1:30. When I explained to the person who contacted me that I was unable to come earlier than scheduled I was told that I would have to reschedule and that they didn't make a habit of scheduling people after 1:30 to 2:00 pm everyday. I wasn't told that my appointment time would be an issue until the day of my appointment. In my opinion, this is a very unprofessional way to do business; (especially when the hours on their website say they're open until 5 pm). read more

Horrible. I went in for tooth pain. They did complete x-rays of my whole mouth and an exam. I told them I was there for one tooth only. When I spoke to the office manager, after she called me for giving a bad review, she told me what I had done was free for a new patient. She told me I would not be charged. That was 3/20/24. On 7/24/24 I received a statement from my insurance that I was billed. Dr. McQueen did nothing for my pain but refer me to another Dr. I did not even receive antibiotics. This place doesn't care about people. They only care about money. My daughter had a very painful molar that needed to come out. It was beyond saving. She knew it. I knew it and later on the doctor agreed. It was causing her a lot of grief and she wanted it pulled. So, I googled "emergency dentist" and google referred me to Aspen Dental. I called Aspen and requested an immediate appointment to have a tooth pulled. The closest office that could fit me in was an hour away. When we arrived, I notified the receptionist that my daughter needed a tooth pulled. She helped us get through the paperwork and we sat and waited. When they brought us back to the medical area, they took X-rays. I informed the technician, that all we wanted was to have the bad tooth pulled and she said she needed X-rays first, so I didn't complain or protest. We waited over an hour in the patient room for the doctor to come see us. When he arrived he started examining all of her teeth and began consulting us for a future wisdom teeth extraction. I said thanks for the information about the other teeth. Now, can we please pull her bad tooth? The doctor said yeah, let me just get my instruments, and he left again. We waited another 30-45 minutes, and the doctor never returned. Instead, the receptionist came back and said, you will need to make another appointment to have the tooth pulled. I informed them that the whole purpose of the visit was to have the tooth pulled and that I informed everyone I spoke with from Aspen Dental that was our intention from the get-go and that I was very specific. I explained that I lived over an hour away and that I won't be coming back. This is a one time trip for "emergency Dentistry." I pointed out that it was still 2 hours from closing time for them, and asked why they couldn't take 15 minutes to pull the darn tooth. I have had teeth pulled. I know it doesn't take very long. They wasted over 4 hours of my time and all that was accomplished was that X-rays were taken. X-rays that I didn't ask for. What I did ask for, nobody could give me even though they all said they would. This place doesn't care about people. They only care about money. This place is not an emergency dentist office as they claim to be. They won't do "same-day dentistry" because they want that second and third visit more than they want to help people like my young daughter who was in a lot of pain and was just tryin to get some relief by having a tooth pulled. I have a contract with them for financing. I've been paying on it for months now. When I go in for my fillings they tell me that the active contract has "expired " that I'll need to reapply and pay $600. Looked up participating Dentists in my insurance network and visited 2 of them that turned out to be very disappointing. I felt more comfortable with a "mom and Pop" dentist who had been around for a number of years. I am new to the area so I kept looking. Aspen Dental always came up in the results, but I was Leary about visiting a "corporate" style dentist office. I'm glad I took the chance. They addressed all my concerns and didn't pull any punches with what "needed" to be done. But, as usual with most dentists, they tried to up-sell a few items for my teeth that didn't need to be done presently. Most dentist do this, so I wasn't surprised. Overall, they pulled my tooth as requested, and showed compassion for all my questions and concerns and got me back on track. I would recommend Dr McQueen and his staff at East-gate. They know their stuff and listen. Don't shy away because Aspen Dental is corporate. Its actually a benefit having a corporate chain in several cities, should you need a dentist while you are away from home. read more

My 3 Aspen Dental visits were very stressful. It is a training station (at least as of last year), with a secretary-in-training, who had no one to help her.The so-called manager was no where to be found. They charged me over 60 dollars for my first visit because they said my insurance wouldn't cover it, even though after a quick call to my insurance, I was assured my 6 monthly check-ups were free. After that I had at least 15 X-rays taken in diff. positions in my mouth. It took an extremely long time and required awkward positioning of a tool that smashed into the overgrowth of bone that I have in my bottom jaw, which made them bleed. Then I saw the dentist who merely looked at my mouth without even pushing or inspecting any teeth. They told me I had to come back another time for a cleaning, which was not specified when I made the appointment. When I finally got my cleaning, I had to make 2 diff. appointments just to get my 60 dollars back as the manager had to approve it and wasn't there the first time. The second time the secretary told me that the manager was busy, although he was standing right behind her and listening; I had already met him before and recognized him. The last and final time I went there, it was for the 6 month visit cleaning and dentist check. After my cleaning, I was told that the dentist had already left. I was still charged the full amount for my check up. To make matters worse, I was incorrectly charged once again for another matter. I called the office and they said they'd change it. It never changed and I had to personally go to the office and correct the bill. This isn't a dentist office, it's a business. I very highly recommend Aspen Dental at Eastgate in Cincinnati, OH. I cannot say enough about this place!! Ok, so I had gone online to check out reviews of dentists because I've had TERRIBLE experiences in the past. I had read some reviews about Aspen Dental that were less than positive so I was skeptical, however they were offering a special for new patients where the first exam and x-rays were free so I thought I would check it out. I'm SO glad I did!!! This was BY FAR the best experience I've ever had at a dentist!! EVER!!! When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly girl named Rachel at the desk and I was immediately helped. I did wait about 20 minutes before being called back, but they have a tv and magazines and it's a very clean, comfortable waiting room. When I was called back, Britney took my x-rays and was very sweet and helpful. As soon as she finished, she escorted me back to the exam area and it was just a short wait for my technician. There was a tv above the chair, which was really nice in the event you have a longer wait. When Beth, my tech, arrived she was very nice and friendly and answered all of my questions and was very gentle. As soon as she was finished, I was seen by Dr. Mounir. She was AMAZING. She was so thorough and didn't rush me through at all. I've never had a dentist spend so much time answering questions and making me feel at ease. All of the dentists I've been to in the past come in briefly at the end and then rush out, but not her! After my exam, Dr. Mounir personally escorted me to the front office (which I really appreciated - again, I've never had a dentist take so much interest and really seem to care). Since they were offering the special where all the x-rays and the first exam were free, once I got to the billing office I just KNEW they were going to try to talk me into additional services or charge me for the x-rays if I wanted to go to another dentist. I was prepared to be slapped with additional charges or fees. Dr. Mounir introduced me to Rory, the office manager. Like all the other staff, he was fabulous!!! He immediately made me feel at ease and made sure to answer all of my questions. I needed a couple cavities filled and a root canal and I assumed that they would make me feel obligated to get the cavities filled there and rush me to make an appointment because of the free service I received. To my surprise, after Rory got all of my information, he gave me an envelope with a copy of my x-rays along with a prescription and info for the endodontist of my choice (for the root canal). All of this was FREE of charge. Since I had to have a root canal, they were unable to do the procedure there, but referred me to an endodontist. However, he let me know that I could go to anyone I wanted. Lastly, I did not have insurance, but they accept Brighter.com membership cards which gives you a very substantial discount. Everyone was SO friendly and helpful. I really felt like I was given the royal treatment!! If you have to have any dental work done, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mounir at Aspen Dental at Eastgate, Cincinnati (I cannot vouch for other locations). I will be going there from now on!! Heather O. This place will constantly cancel your appointment and have to reschedule because miraculously there will be no dentist in that day. This just happened to me, AGAIN, not even 12 hours before my appointment. You have to wait in between times of your procedure because your dentist is the only one there and working on multiple people at the same time. I called and set up an appointment for first time visit with a cleaning.....I had X-rays, one person asked medical questions. Another person checked my gums to see what type of cleaning to do, then the doctor came in and went over what I needed to have done. Then a lady came and took me in her office to set up appointment for cleaning and work that needs to be done....2 hours this took! No cleaning done. I also have been to aspen dental for the past year and a half. My first visits were for a root canal crown and six fillings. For the first 8months I thought everything was ok but when I returned for my cleaning they took x-rays and said I had seven cavities. I will tell you that I floss every night and brush typically twice a day. After review they agreed to redo four of the teeth for free. After different appointments of getting these redone.. again my teeth were very sore which I called and asked three weeks after the fillings were done.. last week 'four weeks after the work' my filling fell out and it was hurting. As you would do I called the 24 hour line and the lady I talked to said she would have the on call doctor call me. No call. I am upset because I payed over two thousand dollars the first time and hundreds the second time. It would be nice to be treated like a customer. read more

OMG today is my last visit at this place! Less than a zero rating. Horrible service! My appointment was at 4:30PM, the receptionist named Doris did not even tell me that the dental hygienist was running late and let me sit there for 45 minutes!! She was also rude on the phone with people calling in, no smile, no apologies. Placed people on hold for a long time and did not care that patients see her act as such. Patients were like an interruption for her. I don't know where the usual ladies (like friendly Stephanie and Angela), have they all resigned? The manager "Tina" was very condescending. I had to go back a second time just to have my teeth cleaned and once again I waited 30 minutes before I was seen and the cleaning only took 15 minutes. Very disappointed , for health reasons went to Aspen Dental. The dentist was nice and understanding, The problem with was with the lady that took me to her office quote for all work over 4 thousand, So once I left I called to ask what would be the cost for just the lower gum ,she told me 3100.00 I told her my son found coupon for 25% off and since I was driving I asked her to figure out price with discount. So here's the big one she raised it from 3100.00 to 3655.00 minus 731.00 only used 20% off , so that now it came to 2924.00.. Please whatever you do, don't go to this Aspen Dental. They do not care about you! The dentist there rushes you outta there within 5 mins of seeing you because they over book patients! Dentist bouncing from room to room, which is very gross! So many patients because they're money hungry!!! So you'll be in and out in no time, no worries. The lab tech doesn't give 2 craps what your teeth look like. She is a snob and thinks it's all about her. The dentist just looks at you and is afraid to put his hands in your mouth to see what the issue is. Not only me, but two other friends have had trouble out of this office over the pass year. After they get your money, you're a nobody to them... So please stay away from this place!! They go thru employees and dentist quite often. There comfilyte dentures are suppose to be so much better? Could have fooled me.... Your dental lab is horrible. I've seen people who get their teeth FREE from the state paying for them and look much better.
