After an unfortunate event between my Boston Terrier puppy and my husband's dentures left him toothless, I made an appointment with Aspen dental. I was almost sick with worry over what it was going to cost us. When we got there, there was no waiting, they got us right in. They were very courteous and professional, and they had dentures that we could afford. They in no way made us feel bad that we couldn't afford something better. Everyone was so nice. When i first started going there, the staff seemed kind and helpful. However, I was so wrong. I went in for a broken denture and ended up agreeing to implants on the bottom. They explained things to me while I was under sedation. There I truly didn't comparand what was going on. Each time I went in they kept telling it was a $1000 more this happened twice. On the 3rd visit I had aske the blonde haired reception to explain and she was rude, there for I responded to her in the same way. Then she told the staff that I was being unreasonable. I was just trying to get her to explain what was going on and why they kept asking me for an additional $1000. She said that I was informed with a phone call (which I never got) that receptionist forgets why she has her job in the first place. Its for we the patients and not vice versa. Needless to say, I paid my balance in full, and left to have the procedure done elsewhere. I would definitely NOT recommend this horrible place. They treat their patients like trash. This place needs a complete overhaul with better more kind and considerate staff. I hope people realize what they are getting into with Aspen Dental. Beware they don't care, all they want is MONEY and more MONEY. Do your research before making the mistake of choosing Aspen Dental. If you need work done its worth checking into place that actually respects their clients. Omaha Dentures and Implants are much better and the actually take the time to explain everything without being sedated. They are more affordable as well. should have looked at the Yelp reviews before I went. You can tell a lot about a company by just looking around the office. After check in I went back to this little exam room. I wanted to get my teeth whitened. Their website says they do that. Well they have take home trays with whitener. They aren't nearly as effective as in office where they use a laser to whiten your teeth. Strike one . Strike two because I'm a senior, the nurse felt compelled to shout the entire exam. Strike two. . Strike three.. I look up at the fluorescent light above the exam chair, it's filled with dead flies. That tells me how much care they put into the practice. read more

I had an appointment today at 1:00p.m. I showed up 30 minutes early. Due to some communication problem, I was not able to do the procedure. I asked for a note to take to work, to prove to my job. This review is from many years ago, when I was fresh out of college, in my second job with my own insurance. I had a hard time finding a dentist who would take my insurance, and decided on aspen because it seemed like a good idea at the time. I've always had perfect teeth, literally every dentist has told me that. NOT Aspen. I felt uncomfortable as soon as I got into the chair, with the dentist talking to the techs about me while I was in the room, as if I wasn't even there. The dentist wasn't kind and lecture me about not flossing. You'd think I told him my occupation was killing healthy puppies or something with how rude he was. But I was young. He was old. What did I know? After my cleaning I was told I had 6, count them SIX cavities! After having none my entire life! Nothing much had changed in my diet or brushing habits, so I found this to be very strange, but I let them talk me into getting a Care Credit card, didn't look around for a second opinion because they were professionals. I was just someone looking for a cleaning. I will say the dentists who did my fillings were MUCH nicer than cleaning dude. We even had some laughs. But my fillings weren't done properly. I've had issues with food catching in my teeth ever since, and it can get downright painful sometimes. Cut to today, about eight years later. I finally got to a new dentist (Aspen scared me off dental cleanings for almost a decade!), and I found myself at my aunt and uncle's dentist. A single office with a small town nice guy. He concluded what I've suspected all along. I never had cavities. I had weak spots. Weak spots that could have been fixed with proper diet and cleaning. I've only found out now about the class action lawsuits against Aspen dental from 2012. I wish I'd known about it then, trusted my gut, and got the hell out of dodge. Never trust chain dentists! Find a small practice where the dentist cares about you and not good bottom line! read more

Great group of ladies. They took my xrays and came up with a treatment plan. Dr. Le explained what I needed and then I was helped with my insurance and any out of pocket costs. I scheduled my visits and have had a better mouth since. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Very deceitful and the support staff are very rude and nasty! Had a decent first visit and the hygienist are good but can't overcome the front office folks!! The heavy set gal....Jenny doesn't explain charges and apparently added all kinds of unneeded items that were overpriced and not broken down! That is how they bloat the bill and milk your insurance leaving you with a big out of pocket cost! Example is a oral b toothbrush I didn't need along with expensive toothpaste and mouthwash! When I returned to get final visit they wanted more money out of pocket and couldn't explain why! I asked for itemized and that when Jenny piped up to cover her deceit! I called and got an appointment for today which is a Saturday because I sheared off one of the cusps on a back tooth last night and I wanted to have it fixed. My regular dentist is not open on Saturday so I thought this would be a good solution. When I arrived I went through a series of x-rays which, according to them, they need to do and they are free on your first visit. I was finally seated in the exam room and the dentist came in and looked over my x-rays and then looked at the problem tooth and didn't say a thing before she started looking at every other tooth in my mouth and then told me that every crown that I have (3) has a cavity under it and needs to be replaced and that I had a cavity on the backside of my tooth (which is just a stain according to my regular dentist). So I waited to see what was going to be done about this sheared off tooth. The dentist looked at me and said that we would have to reschedule to have all of these things done because there wasn't time today to fix my tooth (Which was the only reason I made an appointment to begin with). So when I got home I called my regular dentist and she called me right back. She pulled up my recent X-ray records and said no, you do NOT have cavities under your crowns nor do you have a cavity on the backside of your front tooth. And she scheduled me to come in on Monday to have the damaged tooth fixed. So long story...don't go here. They just want your money and they don't really care about your problem. The only upside was that the tech was very nice. And although it was a complete waste of time, it had been a free visit. UPDATE: I saw my dentist on that following Monday. She looked at the xrays that she had taken against the xrays that Aspen had taken and they were identical- no changes and no cavities. Then she fixed my chipped molar in 15 minutes. Done! read more

I had work done in May 2016. Whatever they did cost me $655 and ended up causing more pain than help. The pain was so bad I had to go to an ER dentist. That cost me $750. Then I told them I wouldn't be coming back so they refunded my card for $300. Then on a Friday March 2017 after 4 I got a robocall stating I owe $620. I went to the office (new office manager Thank Goodness as 'Marilyn' was rude and pushy) and I was told that Marilyn refunded my card and shouldn't have therefore I now have outstanding balance of $620 Instead of $300 which I was unaware of either way because I haven't received a single piece of correspondence or bill until now! First set of dentures made in the air force. They were porcelain and lasted more than 23 years. Second set plastic lasted pretty good. Third set just done two weeks ago and already have lost a tooth. I will take it back for repair and hope it lasts. Now the office manager tells us that we will have to make appointment and wait a week to bring these new dentures in for repair. 5 days later... Took the teeth in and office looked much busier today. Once the dentist sees he has the tooth and denture and it is an easy repair she says I should not have just talked to the receptionist or office manager but insisted on seeing the dentist or just left the dentures and instructed the manager to give them to the dentist. I have always been very apprehensive about going to the dentist & these gals make it a much more positive experience than I've ever had before. I travel for work 90℅ of the time for work and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and check up while I was home for a couple days. I arrived at the Council Bluffs location filled out a new patient packet, they took xrays, then I was told the dental hygienist would be in next. She spent 10 minutes with me then said the dentist wanted to consult with me about any cavities. The dentist spoke with me for approximately 5 minutes then said someone would be in next to speak with me regarding financing??? What??? She brought me into an office as if I were at a dealership applying for an auto-loan. Are you idiots serious? She rifled through a list of fees and placed the paperwork in front of me as if she just signed her quota for a month. I have one cavity and Im in need of a what your office called a periodontal cleaning. I have dental insurance!!! Your "Office Manager" told me that I would have to pay $480. What?? So I asked her to repeat the info she tried to read so fast that would I just nod my head and sign away $100's without question. In your layered fees was a $120 toothbrush!?!? Your really going to just sneak that in there not thinking I'm going to question this? This seems pretty shady Aspen. And then this happened. After wasting 2 hours of my invaluable time in town, I was then told that I would not receive a cleaning that day and would have to reschedule!! Piss off!!!!! read more

Took my three kids there for cleanings. My daughters both checked out OK, I needed an extraction, and my son had cavities. We have dental insurance, and got a written estimate for around $250 out-of-pocket (after insurance) for everything. I was taken aside and explained they have a guarantee that says if they estimate wrong, we would not have to pay more than we were quoted, regardless. Then, they screwed up my extraction (very slow and painful, then the dentist said, "Whoops, I did that wrong, sorry.") Paid around $200 at the first visit, was charged $200+ on the second visit, and $300+ on the third. I asked about the estimate we had gotten and their guarantee, and I was told they've changed their policy and they don't honor those guarantees anymore. The office manager couldn't figure out the initial estimate when I showed it to her, but each time I asked about a line item, she immediately argued with what I was trying to ask, without actually looking into anything or even making sure she understood what I was saying. They also tried stuffing electric toothbrushes in our bags without telling us as we left our initial visit, and then tried charging us $120+ for each of them. From my experience, they are cheerful and charming right up until they try to dishonestly take every penny you have. If you then question anything, they become abrasive, illogical, argumentative people. And they were bad dentists to boot. I would try self-dentistry in a mirror with pliers and a screwdriver before I would ever set foot in this place again. read more
