I have no complaints about the hygienist, Nicole. On 4/8/26, I had an 11am appt. for scaling and root care, followed by a digital scan for a partial. I waited about 3 hrs. without completing my appt. After the scaling, I was placed in a waiting area at 12:30, which became overcrowded by 1pm, due to a lack of seating, with one person standing and one sitting on another's lap. With no update or service, I went to the front waiting area and was told I was "next." I continued waiting until 1:40. Then I was told it would be approx 20 more minutes before I could be seen. Nearly 3 hrs later, I had to leave. More frustrating is that I had received multiple texts and emails reminding me of my 11am appt., yet scheduling was clearly not managed. I understand walk-ins are accommodated, but SCHEDULED appts should be prioritized in a timely manner. Given the excessive wait time and inability to complete my SCHEDULED services, it is unreasonable that I was then offered a rescheduled appt. nearly two weeks later. This reflects poor scheduling and disregard for patients' time. After suffering two sleepless nights from a toothache I got desperate and searched "emergency tooth extractions" online. Aspen Dental immediately popped up, stating they take emergency, same day appointments. The scheduler was very kind and, although the facility closest to me was booked, they found a sooner appointment at an alternative location. They really seemed to care about my predicament and I was very appreciative and relieved that the excruciating pain I was experiencing would soon come to an end. Little did I know. I arrived at the Crestwood location and the receptionist (who was also very nice) explained that everyone has to get X-rays done prior to any extractions ($29 special) and to fill out forms. The man who took the X-rays was very professional; being extra careful with the inflamed tooth. After it was over a dental hygienist went over my history and then broke the news that although the tooth should definitely come out, it would have to be done at a later date and after a "deep cleaning." It was at this moment that I realized that Aspen Dental and I have two very different interpretations of the what the word "emergency" means and my heart sank knowing I'd be spending more sleepless nights in agony. A dentist came in, going over the X-rays and all the things they wanted to do to my mouth. These involved words such as crown$, cap$, partial$, and implant$. She also said that in addition to my offending tooth, she needed to remove another one that wasn't even bothering me. I was then asked to wait while they worked out a plan. After 15 minutes I was brought to a desk where a woman showed me the list of all the procedures they wanted to do along with a price tag that was close to $25,000! "So how are you feeling about all this so far?" she asks. I thought she was kidding until I looked up and saw she had a straight face. "Terrible!" I replied. Keep in mind, I'm a 55 year old man who just wanted a painful tooth removed. I am not looking to get my smile plastered on the cover of next month's issue of AARP magazine. Unphased, she pulls out a second sheet of numbers for what it will cost to get the two teeth removed along with the mandatory cleaning - over $4,000. I didn't have insurance and figured it would be costly, but she may as well have pulled out parchment and quill, offering to stop my pain if I'd be willing to sign over my soul. She saw me flinch and mentioned they offer payment plans but I was already heading for door. I drove straight to Walgreens and bought enough pain medication to put half the town asleep for the winter, which is what I should've just done in the first place. Wow! I'm hesitant to say this whole establishment is a SCAM! So I'll just say they are very SCAMMISH! Question: if you make an appointment to get your teeth cleaned shouldn't one leave with their teeth cleaned? Well at Aspen Dental the answer was a big no for me. Although I did make an appointment for teeth cleaning. So in summary Aspen won't be getting this nice insured client. No I won't come back to be up sold, Invisaligns really. They are billing my insurance for over 200.00 for not a single thing. Sharing my teeth were nice! I know I go to the dentist, duh! That's why I needed my nice teeth cleaned! The dentist shared with me "well the teeth cleaning stuff is handled by the manager during your consultation, I just do stuff back here." Me: like cleaning my teeth??? This is my second review. Dr. Abigail Bier should be ashamed of running an unorganized location for this so called dental chain. I've called in for my x-ray document which the receptionist stated at the time, the place didn't have the actual x-ray paper to print out. However, stated the x-ray can be printed on a regular paper document. Today I've went up there to request the x-ray paper document and the lady had me wait. The place was already filled with other patients waiting which came to find out all the staff was coming back from lunch. The receptionist ask and took my information. A waste of 20 minutes! the receptionist came back and told me they actually ran out of ink! Telling me they can mail it to me. I made an appointment for 12 noon and I told them if I was going to be waiting more than 20 minutes after 12, to call me and I wouldn't come in. It is now 30 minutes after my appointment time and they are telling me I am considered a walK in. I am more than furious and I would NEVER recommend that anyone come here. The receptionist is rude and unwelcoming and when I asked to see a manager, it took 10 minutes for me to see her. Then when I asked her to go over the procedure she was rude and condescending. They said they were going to void my transaction. I will update once I have the refund. Then I tried to make another appointment at another office and they transferred me back to this same office. I visited for first time due to ONE tooth bothering me. I wanted to refuse xrays as i thought they were unnecessary as i wanted them to just extract my bad tooth. They insisted on taking the xrays so i agreed. After all the xrays, a young male dentist came to see me and explained all the bad findings on the xray and procedures that needed to be done to correct them. I told him I don't intend to fix them yet at this time but i need to deal with the ONE tooth immediately. He decided that i needed to get the adjacent tooth extracted too. I said i cant afford them both and will deal with the other tooth later. He refused to pull the bad tooth. He referred to me the manager who discussed with me my " financial obligation". I FEEL THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY THAN BEING COMPASSIONATE TO PATIENTS. Of course, i was willing to pay for that ONE bad tooth but forcing me to pay for another isn't an option. I made an appointment on line. I confirmed it online. I received a text to confirm and I did. The day before,I was informed my appointment was cancelled because I did not call to confirm. I made the appointment for the next day. I arrived paid the $19.00 for the appointment. The girl at the front desk was eating and talking loudly about her dating life.very unprofessional. The Crestwood waiting room was dirty. There was trash piled up in the hall. I was taken to a room for stays. Every time the girl stepped out she yelled to another girl to turn up the music. She did this about 7 times. I saw the hygienist and then the dentist. I did not get my teeth cleaned which is what I came for. I was ushered to the office manager's office to discuss payment arranged. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and scaling. I was handed a pre printed fee schedule. It would cost $2200.00. I said I needed to talk to my husband. She offered to leave for privacy. I declined and left. The next week,I went to my regular dentist. I received a regular cleaning ,since that's all I needed. Bottom line, don't go to Aspen Dental. They are nothing but scam artists and extremely unprofessional. so i come here with my friend and she sees dr jones. she says he's super nice and gives her amoxicillin and tylenol 3 he says call if neither is working or you need something stronger. we went in on a wednesday was calling almost everyday from thursday-thursday with nobody returning calls or even answering phones. everything was voicemails and between her and i we probably left 10 voicemails asking/begging someone to call back because the antibiotics only kickstarted the infection and it ballooned her face and even made her cheek black and blue! she was seen as a follow up and had to take an uber they told her well there's nothing more we can do for you if you don't wanna pay $1800 for the crown and root canal. they took us in as a follow up clearly her face is still swollen and wouldn't even write a stronger script of antibiotics. I've complained so many times to them and they just won't do anything. All they care about is money and not your happiness. Crestwood Dental Office: First time I went in it was with a referral from my dentist. They Did X-ray, and tried to get me to do a crown on a the broken tooth #18 which I was sent to them to have pulled, No was my reply to the crown. That's when everything changed,Then I explained #5 is also hurting and feeling tender, told #5 is being over used because of me chewing on it to protect #18. 18 was pulled and I week later 5 broke in half , I called for an emergency appointment 7/18 at 9:00am because I was in pain, was told Will pass this on to the Dentist he will call you back. After several hours of waiting I called them several more times and was told the same thing. I must say they called me back 7/21 at 8:45 am for a consultation. Lol. I think because I wouldn't go for all the extras they were pushing I wasn't a gullible enough patient so I was treated with disregard and dismissed. I thank Crestwood Aspen Dental for the early on insight into their way of practice. I wouldn't come or recommend anything or body to see you. Walking in as a new patient I was hopeful, I should have read more reviews first. Most of the staff seemed friendly. Prior to any work being done I asked the Dentist a slew of questions and was excited. The dentist lied. literally none of it went as planned. it was agreed that she would sign the paperwork necessary to allow time to heal before returning to work. Once I had paid and the work was done the doctor refused to sign any of the paper work. As a result I am being terminated from my job. as for the work done, I was left with a smile I hate that looks and feels awkward months later. I was lied to about expectations. I was in severe pain and ignored. Lied to at each following appointment. I would never recommend Aspen Dental. This was expensive and cost me my job only to end up with ill fitting dentures. Upon explaining this to them I was lead to believe that things would be corrected and nothing. They don not care and just want to get your money. Doubt you will post this. My colleague had all teeth pulled and replaced with upper and lower partials. The bottoms have not fit since day one. They have been adjusted several times, as late as yesterday, and now pop out even when she talks - they're so loose. She can't eat and she's embarrassed. I witness this every day so this is not hearsay. This person even called today crying and they couldn't fit her in nor did the manager call her back as promised. Had my tooth extracted which had decayed. Was hard to find good dentists and insurance call took forever to clear. Slow paced place, not meant for big numbers. Would have been at 5 but when I rescheduled and the day came they didn't even have me in the system. I was ready to pay and get it all done. Wasted a couple hundred to fly out and wait a month just to get my other tooth extracted. Receptionists usually kind but their schedule isn't set and didn't bother to help. Said we late short staffed and we did book it but she didn't believe us. Poor mother was then distraught and said go elsewhere. If anything I just wish they had people ready. I went a couple of months ago to get my teeth cleaned and they were really helpful. I didn't enjoy there student who kept having to take repeated X-rays of my teeth because she made a mistake.
