They took multiple appointments to get it done mainly because the dentist kept putting the numbing agent in the wrong spot over and over and over again. Terrible, avoid these scammers. I was told I need a "special dental cleaning" (funny, no other dentist said I did), and that it would cost $400, that my insurance would pay half and I would pay half. I then paid half and made a separate appointment. Six months later and they send me a bill for about $400! They never included the $219 payment I made, and they lied when they said my insurance would pay half. I have documentation to back all of this up. By the way, the special cleaning was just a regular dental cleaning - nothing special at all, and was very brief. Crooks. I'd be embarrassed to be associated with these scammers. I have been here two hours and I still haven't had a cleaning. It is incredible how they run this place. Everyone is trying to help but they have a room full of patients and they spend all the time trying to sell surgery and working on your smile 2 hours of waiting. Now they say cleaning is a separate appointment. They are definitely don't give a crap. You miss a day of work to sit in the lobby. I sat in the lobby for an hour and the then in a waiting room for an hour. Worst dentist visit ever. I brought my kids as well for a cleaning. No cleanings just hours of frustration. read more

Still 4 months after getting them I had one visit to get things fitting and it did not work. Nit even a follow up call to see how things were going. Eating is difficult but I still have to pay that monthly payment. You would think they would try to make it work, making these dentures are not that difficult and the cost to them is minimal. Aspen Dental, the X-ray Tech, and the lady at bill me for the work to be done was pleasant and professional. Once if she finished setting up to treatment plan I was told I have to pay 60% of, $11,089.00), up.front, which I did. When I came in for my cleaning as I sat there another lady was having her treatment plan worked on once it was finished she was not asked to pay 60% and what I could hear and see she had the same insurance carrier I had. My scheduled cleaning appointment is was for 11:00 am. I arrived at the office at 10:35 am. I was not called in for my cleaning until 11:45 am. The Dential hygienist started my cleaning and five minutes in said she had to leave because another patient was waiting. I sat there for 45 minutes before she returned to resume the cleaning. In my 69 years, I have never had a cleaned done so quickly once she resume. She apply a Fluoride treatment then told me I was finished. The fluoride treatment was only to be left on for 15 minutes, but I had to drive home (over an hour) with the treatment on my teeth. I called the next day and canceled the two pending appointments because they did not address the periodontal issues I was referred there for. A few days later the office manager called me. I explain why I canceled the appointment, we talked about the fluoride treatment and how long it was left on. The Periodontal Treatment issues that was not addressed. I went here because I have a broken tooth, it's been causing me pain for months. I had booked an emergency appointment, when I showed up was not the case. They are nice people, however they did not help me whatsoever. They looked at my teeth and did X-rays, nothing else. They did not prescribe me any antibiotics, or anything for the pain/ discomfort. I was charged 14,000 for them looking at my teeth. I was told to wait for a phone call to tell me if my insurance would cover, never received a phone call. I had to call them back 3 weeks later and was told that they were gonna a call later that day. It was never done. I am still left in pain and my tooth still broken. Going to aspen was a waste of time, money, and resources. I will be going to an actual dentist where they are willing to help and let me know BEFOREHAND that they can take my insurance. Do not go here, if you need actual dental help it's not worth the time. read more

I have been a patient for four months and have had four appointments made and cancelled by them. Appointment made then cancelled another date selected and that appointment cancelled. Four times. My first visit I was placed in a room and then the employees got into an arguement that I should have not been placed in that room. Moved rooms twice before I was seen. Office staff is very unprofessional and when you talk to the office "manager" you learn from her why the staff is the way they are. They follow her lead. Next, she told me my tooth was dead (which my regular dentist told me was NOT TRUE), that I needed a double cleaning (which my regular dentist said no one typically needs unless you haven't been to the dentist in like ten years), and a ton of other crap to get my money because of my insurance and because I'm a younger woman. I am sorry that I wasted my time and some money at Aspen Dental, they are just a corporate dental office just interested in making money, and the dentist and hygienist whom I saw had subpar communication skills. They do not clean your teeth on an initial visit. The dentist that came into the room to speak to me did look at the xrays their technician took, but did not look into my actual mouth at all. He did have his hygienist look at me, but she did no cleaning either, nor did she offer me any way to rinse my mouth out (no mouthwash, not even water) after she had placed a periodontic probe tool into my mouth The initial visit is merely an assessment of how they can proceed to make money off the patient. The dentist did say that he saw no cavities on my xrays, but I was still told at my exit interview with the assistant office manager, who is not a medical professional, that I needed over $2900.00 in additional services and products, $1300.00 of which were not covered by my dental insurance, so I was offered a finance plan. I immediately began searching for another dentist, and found an excellent private dentist, who is not just a mere average dentist, but one who holds a Mastership in Dentistry beyond the basic dentist's training, and I went to him less than one month later, because I felt that Aspen Dental was untruthful. My new dentist spent a great deal of time examining my mouth and xrays himself, and his hygienist spent a good hour cleaning my teeth, and he charged me less than 1/10 of what Aspen wanted to charge me, and told me that I simply needed to return in 6 months for another regular cleaning. Aspen is overpriced, unconcerned with communicating with patients responsibly, and unhygenic. Avoid wasting your time and money at Aspen Dental. read more

I had a root canal from a previous dentist that needed a crown. I went to Aspen Dental for the crown. I got a cleaning, the temporary crown, and permanent crown. Each visit was better than the last. If I could give Aspen Dental in Hackettstown, NJ less than one star I would. BEWARE OF THEIR BILLING PRACTICES. I was told by both Aspen Dental Staff and by my insurance company that they were in network. I questioned Aspen Staff multiple times. I was told my treatment and my husband's treatment was in network and covered completely. A year later, after at least three visits and multiple bills that were for service a year ago, we find out that Aspen Dental is in Network. Dr. David DiGiralomo IS NOT IN NETWORK. After Aspen threatened to take our outstanding invoice to collections, we ended up paying $1268 out of pocket. I have since learned Aspen Dental has a practice of assuring patients they are in network then allowing bills to rack up and then you are told the doctor is not in network. This is not my first rodeo with medical bills and I always double check to be sure they are in network. I was blatantly lied to. And to find out it is their practice is so upsetting. Also their billing practices are very unorganized, staff doesn't know what is going on. Bills are paid and they are calling to collect weeks later.
