Typically, I would say nothing when I do not have anything good to say. However, when it comes to medical and dental offices, it is important to make sure people know what to expect. I felt like the staff is not interested in working with patients. I have requested to send medications to a particular location. I was told that Aspen does not have electronic connection with that pharmacy. Well, there is a fax, phone, the prescription can be printed and signed. Apparently, the secretary was not aware of other methods of communication. She also tried to sell me much more than I needed, stating that the product comes in a set of four?! I needed a guard for the lower teeth and in my previous experience it was always molded individually. The x-ray technician was another story. All parts that were supposed to go into my mouth were spread on top of the end table. No tray, paper towel. Maybe the surface was sanitized between patients, but it didn't look like it. On top of that the tech has dropped a piece on the floor. It may not be a big deal, but imagine a surgeon dropping scalpel on the floor, picking it up and continue with the surgery. I went to Aspen Dental in Muskogee OK. I loved my Dentist. She was perfect. She did not make me feel like a criminal if I had a cavity. She was patient and kind and I really enjoyed seeing her. My issue has nothing to do with the dentist, but with the office staff. First, none of my appointments were ever on time. It would take all day. Second, when I did get work done, at one point a staff member came in while I was on laughing gas getting an implant, and started asking the Dentist if I was loopy, making fun of me. That was super frustrating... but that's not the kicker. I got an implant and lot of other dental work done. I specifically scheduled at the end of the year so I could use up all of my insurance for both years by scheduling the remaining work in the beginning of the following year. I paid over $3000 out of pocket, the amount I was told I would be expected to pay after insurance covered their part. Fast forward 3 years later. I get a collection call from a agency representing Aspen Dental. They want their money. After back and forth a little while, I found that Aspen Dental NEVER filed for payment with my insurance company. Now, almost 4 years after the service, they want their money because they obviously cleaned house and found unpaid bills. At no time did they call to clarify anything on my insurance, notify me that they had problems filing. Nothing. They just sent it to a collections company. Now, here is the kicker. The implant? That just came through the side of my jaw after destroying the bone in my jaw. I had to go to the emergency room where they took it out and told me that the implant was too high (I told them it has always felt weird) and that because of this, my natural tooth on top has forced that implant to put too much pressure on my jaw bone, cracking the bone and forcing the implant out of my gumline. My new dentist fixed it, $6000 out of pocket later, but I over heard him in another room talking about the shotty work that was done on my mouth and in 30 years, he's never seen anything like it. No one I have spoken with has every gone through something this bad and I used to work for oral surgeon years ago and still have a lot of friends in this field. I can't express the fury I have with this dental office. I have never been in collections for anything and I have never had major work like this done on my mouth. I made sure to set up an appointment for a different dental office to get a second opinion because I read the horror stories about Aspen dental. First off I had an appointment at 9 o'clock and I was not out of their office until 12 o'clock. I waited in the back for about 2 1/2 hours, along with an elderly couple that was across the way from me. When the dentist finally came in, she scratched my teeth with her metal tool and literally that was it. Tell me I have so many cavities and I need all of these procedures done and then I'll need Invisalign to straighten my teeth at the end. Once we get to the billing process and payment plan, I thought it was a whole joke. Went in a month ago to talk about a denture. The dentist, Dr. Angel, insisted I have to get my denture the day they extract the teeth. No discussion. Her way or nothing. I finally agreed. Spent weeks trying to get a denture. They tried to make one but it goes too far back on my pallet. They hemmed and hawed, went back and forth then told me they can't make it any other way. I asked if they could at least fill a cavity since I want to go elsewhere for a denture. Spoke to the office manager to get a refund. She then made me wait probably 10 minutes to get a signature on a paper to say the dentist is dropping me. Thteatened that if I didn't get the paper, I may not be able to get a refund! A paper that says they can't make my denture the way I needed it. Finally got the paper after fussing a bit and walked out. This was after I had a terrible time with the last dentist that was in the office. I gave it 6 months and tried again. Never again read more

I scheduled a regular 6 month checkup/cleaning, this was my first visit to Aspen Dental in Lawton, OK. -When I arrived two assistants took X rays of my teeth, then took me back to the dentist chair. -The first dentist put a mirror in my mouth & claimed I have gingivitis that requires a treatment, then walked out of the room. -A second dentist walks in & puts a mirror in my mouth, he says I have 3 cavities that need filled...then he walks out. -The third person to walk in the room was a "business specialist" dressed in office casual, she directs me to her office. There she prints out a quote to get all the recommended treatments done & is urgent that I schedule it then. I refused & walked out because... Those dentists & assistants never cleaned my teeth! That's what my appointment was for! No water was squirted, no tray of utensils, no NOTHING! Secondly, I was told I had gingivitis & 3 cavities however I was not given a toothbrush or floss during my visit. Every dentist appointment I've been to has always involved an assistant cleaning my teeth & fluoride treatment PRIOR to the dentist coming in to poke around and scan oral health. This was not the case at Aspen Dental. They want money, it's a scam. The employees are actors as much as they are dental professionals. The whole idea is to get the patient to the "business office". It's apparent that Aspen Dental is an example of fraudulent health care. I would not recommend Aspen to friends or family. I felt like a second rate citizen and they did not want my business. I began services for full dentures in January 2021. It took until February of 2022 to receive a poor fitting set of dentures. The dr said "that's the best we can do" I went without bottom teeth during this entire process. The temporary set did not fit from day one and I was told to just do without. The office frequently cancelled appointments or I showed up at the office and they gave me excuses for not calling before I drove 15 miles to the office. I never saw the hygienist for a cleaning until most of the office staff and the hygienist were let go and new people were installed. I would never want anyone to be treated as I was. Worst experience. Always listen to your first mind and also be suspicious of empty waiting rooms. Especially when they are empty on a holiday. I thought I'd give Aspen Dental a try because there was a short wait compared to other family dentist offices (I now know why). The star rating was over four when I made my appointment and now it's under 4! Here's probably why... First, I've never been to a dentist that didn't perform a cleaning on the initial visit. I've never been to a dentist where the dentist didn't perform an actual physical exam on the initial visit. This dentist made his assessment and plan totally off x-rays and questions. They entire initial consultation was only to make a plan. The plan then included charges that my insurance didn't pay. They wanted to charge me over $1,000 for a "deep" cleaning with $135 tacked in for an electric toothbrush that the hygienist states is the best. She told me that she's already training her 3-year old to use one. When I stated I wanted a "regular" cleaning that my insurance would pay for, the "consultant" said I couldn't get a regular cleaning because the hygienist is the provider and she makes the decision on my dental care! I asked how much I owed and the response was a quick and curt "nothing", an immediate closing of the manilla folder that was my chart, and she swiftly turned so that her back was facing me. Her actions immediately let me know I wasn't the only customer (I won't say patient because I didn't get any real dental care) who questioned their tactics. I just as quickly left and will be looking for a traditional dentist office that actually cares about patient's dental health and are not out to squeeze people out of money. I have to add that the office is loud. There is no privacy because I heard the lady next to me entire consultation, which I'm sure violates HIPAA. Not to mention a clerk shouted out across the room for my social security number. Don't waste your time or jeopardize your dental health. If you do decide to get care from Aspen, say no to the cancer screen. A cancer check should be included in the dentist's examination. If I could give this dental office less than one star , I would. Here's my reasoning : Originally I booked my appointment online , and when I went in for my appointment the first time They had double booked me and asked me to reschedule (This was difficult because my husband is in the Military and I don't have family so my husband had to take Leave in order for me to go in the first place.) But I had no other choice so I booked for January 20th @2 PM. This is where it gets more interesting: They call me as I'm driving to my appointment to tell me that they double booked me AGAIN FOR THE 2nd TIME just minutes before I have arrived (FACE PALM ) , I don't get the message until I'm parked because thanks to AT&T's Drive mode I don't get calls or texts while I'm driving for safety purposes. AND THEN I walk in the door and all desks are faced away from the front door so it's already frustrating because nobody is there to greet me and try to sort out the mess. I end up having to wait for one of the dental Assistants to end a call (everyone was on a phone call ) just to be told that I'd have to wait for the other dental assistant to be done. And she asked me questions to make me feel as if the situation was my fault even though I had not received a voicemail until just minutes before my appointment. THIS GOES ON FOR 10 MORE MINUTES. .NOBODY HELPS ME. So , I left. No Apology, No phone call to try and get me to come back. I am not the kind of person to usually get this upset, but my husband has to jump through a lot of hoops to be able to watch my son so I can go to the dentist and I'm very disappointed and discouraged. My spouse's expensive dentures look very toothy and unnatural. I've told them about this every step of the way. They keep telling us to give them a chance, and that he'll get used to them. They even argued with us, saying that we approved them. While this is true, it was always under the expectation of satisfaction. We need a remake, or a refund. (This next bit was written after our visit) They did a major revision to Danny's dentures and ground off what looks like a quarter inch of gum material. They said to give it 30 days for his mouth to adjust . The doctors and techs at Aspen dental don't seem to deal well outside their cookie cutter routine. A dentist, who had never personally examined Danny's mouth, and his denturist tried to impugn me and and seemed to attack me with argument. They need serious improvement with their communication skills. My spouse has a type of early onset dementia. What with the way they tried to go around my medical power of attorney, I almost felt they were trying to take advantage of him. If the staff at Aspen dental doesn't know how to deal with an upset customer, we'd be happy to return their very poorly made dentures for a full refund, and go elsewhere. read more

Took my daughter in for x-rays and cleaning. Long story short. I paid them with my Care Card not once, not twice, but three times all in one visit without leaving. It messed up my head. From the time I set the appointment to the time I walked out the door, I truly believe that I have met the nicest people on Earth. They were everything I could ever dream of in terms of customer service and I'm a customer service manager. The facility is very, very clean and bright. The staff was very meticulous about hygiene, which I appreciate since they were digging in my mouth. I had to bring my infant son with me because of a childcare situation, and they were SO great about it. They never made me feel bad for having to lug him around for each task. In fact, each of the ladies in the office paused to entertain him at some point during our visit - when they weren't busy. I had the pleasure of hearing the dentist himself talk to another patient, she was elderly and having a hard time understanding. He was so gentle and patient with her... he must have repeated his recommendations four times in four different ways. And when she started to get overwhelmed he paused for simple conversation for a moment before starting back in. I wanted to hug him. I would recommend them to any and everyone. I only chose this place because of a recommendation from my mother. She says she walks in, gets xrays, tooth pulled, and then back out. This was not the case for me. I made an appointment specifically to pull a wisdom tooth. They gave me an estimate over the phone which was reasonable and that i was prepared to pay for in cash, even if the estimate was too low. I came in and the front staff were very friendly, but then i met the dentist. He told me that my wisdom teeth mashing and cutting into my cheek was actually just a problem with me "fiddling around with my mouth" or something to that effect despite that when i am in resting mode the teeth will sit with cheek between them. So after a quick back and forth he says he can pull a wisdom tooth if i want. They tried to check me out and make another appointment to get the tooth pulled when i expected it to be pulled that day as other people have, but apparently that's not how they do things. I don't know why they treated me as if i was an idiot. I don't know why they treated me differently, but they did and I won't be making that second appointment. read more

As I type I've been in the lobby for 1.5 hours. I came with my spouse who has an abscess and is in considerable pain. We waited in the full lobby for an hour before he was called back. I was asked to wait and thought it might be while he got xrays. Seeing that he was escorted to a room, I asked and was told family members were not allowed in exams. We could have been told that up front and I wouldn't have taken leave from work. Is my time not as valuable as the dentist? I took my mother who is over 70 to Aspen Dental for a consult for dentures. She was very nervous, and so was I, We was greeted by Shana at the front desk with a smile, that was the start of putting us at ease, she talk to my mom as if she was her mom, that was an xtra plus for me. Then the assistant Neeka came out to get my mom for x-rays with a big smile, She came out to let me know what was going on and that she did good during the x-ray's, and that the doctor would be seeing her now. I was then greeted by the Jenny who explained to me the different types of dentures and the prices, as I'm talking with her, I hear laughing coming from the back, the doctor had entered the room, Dr. Langford and Neeka had my mom laughing and talking, I told Jenny they are having too much fun. We returned to get her impression, once again greeted by Shana. Neeka came out with a big smile, my mom said she explained to her everything she was doing. My mom was seen by Dr. Warren this time, he also was kind, he told her, if he knew she was coming he would have baked a cake. Denture day, Neeka came out to get her with a smile, when they was done she took me to the back, Neeka explained in great detail on the care of her dentures and her mouth, she kept asking her the right questions about the fit, otherwise my mom wouldn't have said anything, that was satisfying. All I wanted was to have my teeth whiten. They booked an up coming appointment for July 1, 2015. I took the application home, filled it out, and returned it today. Just to make sure I was having whiten done on July 1, but instead was told it will be an exam and xray only. Why would you make an appointment for me on July 1 if I wasn't going to have whiten. Mine and my daughter's experience: Severely exaggerated what we needed done. Did XRAY without cleaning and tried to claim food particles were cavities. If we didn't know better, we would have spent a LOT of money and a lot of pain and down time on unnecessary work - damaging our healthy teeth. We signed off on what was supposed to be all charges and the full account for both of us was supposedly settled - until we both got a $98 bill in last week. Because I am not a big computer user I did not know about the 20% off that was offered. I am a senior on a fixed income and expressed my concern about the cost. I was never told, or offered the 20% which would have been substantial on $2200.00. When I approached the office manager 2days later she appeared to know nothing about the 20% but said she would call the main office. I just received a call from the regional office. Corporate phone scheduler made my first appt for Saturday 1:00 - Office is not open on weekends - They also confirmed they accept Carington 500 Dental Discount Plan. This office dosen't because this dentist chooses not to. X-ray technician doesn't know basic tricks to help gaggers through procedure so couldn't get full x-rays and talked extensively with front desk person about concerts they attended while she was doing procedures instead of focusing on patient's needs. SCAMMERS!!! I went in for my initial exam, as I am new to this area, and was blatantly lied to. They wanted me to get 7 fillings for a grand total of $1,500. After being spoken to like a child by the lady in charge of scheduling, I politely stated I would be getting a second opinion. So, Dentists aren't my thing, really apprehensive about my Aspen Dental Lawton visit. The staff was super nice, the girl who cleaned my teeth was very professional and very informative. I really hate that I need a root canal, think it is pretty pricey$$$,but other dentists in this area charge the same. I think their should be a larger discount for paying up front, although, not griping, at least they take some off. The Dentist is very nice and seems he will be easy to work with. The waiting area is my only complaint, really. The chairs are not very comfortable and they are upholstered, they have questionable stains on the seats, hopefully, spilled drinks, but WHO KNOWS!! This is by far the worst dentist I have ever been to. The staff is extremely dismissive from the moment you enter the building. I said I had an appointment and was given a curt "sign in" and then waited 10+ minutes before being given any other attention for the new patient paperwork. When I was finally seen they told me I had Periodontitis and needed a deep cleaning, an electric toothbrush and prescription mouthwash. (This was not the case as I contacted my previous dentist afterwards about it) I foolishly believed this and I paid the price. I really went in to have a cavity filled that was bothering me but they made me go through all of these extra things. When they finally got to filling the cavity a week later they somehow managed to hit a nerve in my mouth and cause facial numbness that has not gone away. I returned and the said that was impossible and they couldn't have caused that. Come to find out later that it is entirely possible and they just did not want to own up to it. Do not support this business. I called the primary number to get an appointment on Tuesday. They offered me an appointment for Wednesday (The next day). I arrived approximately 45 minutes prior to my appointment time as I had not been a patient there before. They had paperwork for me to fill out. Aspen dental only cares about money and herding people through there. They lied to me on several occasions. I went to their office manager about the dentures being so bad and she told me to let them try again and if I still wasn't satisfied they would refund my money. Well the new dentures have adult teeth on the left and what looks like baby teeth. The top teeth are slanted outward and the bottom teeth are slanted inward. They told me I accepted these teeth when they did the wax ones. I can't bite anything with my front teeth as they will break. Anything I try to eat sticks to all the teeth. Now they want me to drive to Ardmore to a different one of their clinics. As my husband said that's a 144 mile round trip. At our expense, of course. We have already made nine trips to Lawton. I have posted a couple reviews pin their site only to discover if it's anything negative toward them it never appears on the site. Consumer be wear as they do not honor their money back guarantee. They do not have quality product nor quality customer communication. I have heard from lots of dissatisfied people. My wife had some work done and reviewing the bill, I discovered that we were charged for medication. That would have been ok if they would have given my wife the meds. We received a prescription to fill ourselves for three pills. My insurance paid for the meds and apparently we paid for the Dr's signature for the prescription. The best part of my visit was the dental hygenist that cleaned my teeth. She was very nice and effective. The only issues I have are they are hard selling a $135.00 toothbrush to every patient. Also, I was not informed of exactly what was and was not covered such as the oral cancer screening they charged me 78.00 to get that I didnt need, in my opinion. If you decide to try them, be very clear and make sure you know what your insurance will cover. The paperwork I was asked about and signed electronically looked completely different than what I was sent home with. Aspen Dental refused to give me and my three kids appointments on the same day. They told me that it was their policy to only allow two family members to be seen at a time; just in case the family members were no-shows, they didn't want to lose out on money. I attempted to explain to Aspen Dental this would require me taking two days off from work and they did not care. When I took my two children to the first appointment, Aspen dental attempted to charge me $85 for a check up. My son is covered under my insurance primarily, as well as his dad's dental insurance. But I asked what the $85 charge was, Aspen Dental told me it was for cavities they intended to fill in June. This exam was done in April. I received another telephone call from Aspen Dental today regarding the other two dental appointments scheduled for Thursday. The first appointment is at 8am, and the other is 845am. Aspen dental told me there was no dentist for the second appointment for the second appointment and I would have to reschedule my appointment for late June. This dental office does not care about families or children. There is a serious lack of common sense and caring. they attempted to bamboozle me out of almost $100 for services that were never rendered. I do not recommend this that office to anybody that cares about their children or their teeth. read more

HORRIBLE. I would suggest not to select this place for your dental needs. I had a procedure done that involved multiple teeth pulled and bone from my jaw removed as well. Pain management is the least of their worries. I felt my teeth being pulled and when I told the dentist he just said "We're almost done" yet struggled to pull to the tooth and while still trying to pull the tooth said "Man, she has good roots, I cant get it" but still did not give me another shot to numb the pain. I have anxiety when it comes to dentists. They made me feel embarrassed about they fact I feared the dentist and did not help in any way to ease my discomfort. Initially they assured me I will be very well taken care of and once I paid up front before the procedure all promises there after were not kept. They rushed to get me in and out as quickly as possible with little information given about the procedure itself and the aftercare. It felt like once they got my money I was at the bottom of the list for priorities and were off to suck money from the next who will in turn end up getting the same results I did. When calling or going up to the office they made me feel as if was bothering them. When I brought up the some concerns I had about the pain I was still in weeks after the procedure and how I was concerned of the look of some of my teeth the dentist himself even had the nerve to say "Well its better than what you came in here with so I wouldn't be complaining" They are extremely nice before they got my money (and I will add that I paid out of my own pocket for...$3,249 to be exact) and afterward they were completely rude and unprofessional. I even went to a second dentist somewhere else to get a second opinion and it was confirmed that my fears were legitimate and that more than one mistake was made by the dentist (such as using non-dissolvable sutures when I was told dissolvable ones were used) This is just some of what I had to go though. I could write a book on this place but I will keep it as short as I can while still trying to get my point across. We've had good service, but the office cancels appointments with you continuously. It's aggravating to have a dentist office cancel almost every time on very short notice to reschedule after having 6 months between cleanings to properly notify. They can't seem to keep a hygienist on site. read more
