I've been visiting Aspen Dental in Palatine for over 3 years, and I've consistently had a great experience. The hygienist, Alex, is excellent--she always provides helpful tips and takes the time to explain how I can better care for my teeth during every visit. Dr. Angelica Leano is very patient and always answers all my questions thoroughly. When I had a filling done with her, she made the entire process smooth and painless, which really helped put me at ease. Went in for a deep cleaning and two teach extractions to be told all my teeth needed to be replaced right away and given dentures. Dr Song had zero sympathy that I couldn't afford that and the dentist I seen just six months earlier at the same did not recommend anything about pulling out all my teeth! when I explained to him, I just need the deep cleaning and extractions he actually told me that would be a waste of time because I needed all my teeth replaced!!! That's when I knew he was a fraud!! the work I was told I needed six months prior was 3000 out of pocket which I was prepared to pay today. Then this new Dr Song begins telling me I need to have all my teeth pulled and mouth rebuilt from scratch, 30,000 dollars' worth of work before insurance which brought it down to 23,000 with insurance. Trying to explain to him that it was not affordable meant nothing to him. He tried to use scare tactics over and over pushing so hard and aggressive I almost lost my cool. The staff was amazing I give them that. But the aggressive scare tactics is not cool. I even explained to him that I have special needs kids where some of their therapy is not covered by my insurance and their well-being is more important than me having a perfect smile. THAT MEANT NOTHING TO HIM!! He continued to aggressive scare and up sale tactics!! Keep in mind my teeth are not bothering me, but I know I need the 3000 worth of work I was quoted by the previous dentist. It took everything in my power not to snap out on this man I mean everything!!! I can't speak for all dentist at this location, but Dr Song did not care about me as a patient he cared about getting as much money out of me as he can as fast as he can. Look buddy I'm here for treatment not to put your kids through medical school. Staff was great finance lady was great and understood my concerns and where I was coming from. There must be a new staff ! I went in 2023 and it was forced and pushy way too much upselling! Fast forward to 2025 New office staff and new manager and this group was outstanding! From the Front Desk to check out! Everyone was attentive, welcoming and kind and not at all pushy! This appointment was a breath of fresh air! I hope they all go this way! They will try and sell every treatment possible to you, say you have horrible teeth and bill you almost 3K. They will also claim you need a special cleaning before addressing the concern you came in for. They also told me I had 2 cavities that needed to be filled when I really had no cavities (I went to get a second opinion somewhere else). I learned my lesson to never go to a chain dental office. All that being said, everyone was really nice but the constant push to sell you and scare you into dental procedures is not worth it. Do not come here or any other location. read more

I used to go to this dentist along with the rest of my family, however it became very apparent that their recommendations were not legitimate and an excuse to make extra money. Of the things they told me (or my family) we needed: - deep cleaning every 3 mos- extra charge and 2 appts to complete -they would not do a regular cleaning- I refused deep cleaning - 9 teeth pulled and dentures to a tune of $45k - deep cleaning for family member - did do - replacement of 3 crowns - did not do We switched dentists over a year ago and low and behold, our new, and honest, dentist advised: -Your teeth look great - taking great care of them- regular cleaning only needed every 6 months - family member does not need 9 teeth pulled or dentures. Needed one crown. - family member also taking great care of teeth- no deep cleaning needed. - no need to replace any crowns-all are in good shape Stay away from corporate dentists and go to individual, honest providers. This company should be ashamed, particularly for trying to take $45k from an elderly person on a fixed income. They caused my mother extreme anxiety until she got a second opinion. Went to one of the Center. The dentist is playing God to make patient no choices, He did not want to do partial denture unless to take out a tooth root. Also his method could work but too painful for old man, went to another place and did get good partial denture readjusted well. forget this place , scam people! call their service and people are nice but could not help, so find another place to do dentures! read more

Background: My wife was trying get a routine dental care for cleaning. But once she got in, they tried to make her their ATM machine..... Appointment 3-stars. This is probably their saving grace and getting an appointment was painless. Service. 1-star. They were in the rush for get the extra done and caused a lot discomfort for my wife. Additionally, the insist on upselling my wife to do deep cleaning due to her "unique" gum situation. When my wife insist of a regular cleaning, she was told that is not possible. Well she was not given a choice to begin with, nor was that communicated to her. They also recommended a bunch of test which no other dentist has ever recommended before. Staffing. 1-star. These people are not dental care providers. They are salesmen and ambulance chaser. Bottomline: I would not recommend anyone to Aspen nor will I ever return to this organization. read more

The palatine location had the kindest staff compared to MP. Their office manager has since left, we haven't returned since then. Also having an ongoing claim issue that has lasted for over 4 months, never had an issue like this with my previous dentist. Once the claim is settled, we probably won't be going back. read more

Our experience at the Arlington Heights office was very disappointing, it was actually the worst experience we ever had at a dentist's office. We had a good experience scheduling the appointment for a denture repair, but when we were there, we were told by the front desk that they couldn't repair a partial denture. When I asked why this was not told when I scheduled the appointment, the front desk was not interested in answering my question, and we had to leave. Very rude front desk I have to say. So basically we were rejected by the front desk at the appointment and we didn't even have a chance to ask more questions, it seemed to me that the appointment was made to see the front desk. This meant that we wasted the entire weekend as my husband needed his denture repaired urgently. read more

The service provided by the Manager and Assistant Manager was professional and apologetic, unfortunately the Dental Specialist was lousy, rude and uninformative in numerous ways and should reconsider his career in the manner way of being polite and informative. Highly dissatisfied. read more

Went in for a tooth extraction. I had been having tooth discomfort for a few weeks. I have a great phobia with dentists so I had a lot of anxiety going in. Every one I encountered there was super friendly and professional. Dr. Chen did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable and less stressed. The tooth extraction was a bit complicated but Dr. Chen kept the plain to a minimum. I will definitely go back for future needs. read more

Be very careful or you will be charged multiple times for the same service. I was told I had to pay in full prior to service, which I did. Three months later I receive a bill in the mail. I called the receptionist could not explain other than she was in agreement with me that I paid in full prior to services and was unsure what the bill was for. She spoke with her manager and said she would cut gone bill in half if I were to make a payment today. I asked her what I would be making this payment for. She still had No explainable reason as to how I had an outstanding balance when I paid in full prior to any services. read more

Another corporate dentist that seems all nice and friendly, but they just want to charge you as much as possible for horrible work. They make it impossible to get your xrays which they legally have to give you. 7 fillings done and according to the dentist doing the root canals the following week, they missed the obvious cavities. They claim all was taken care of but it was not. Cavities were visable with the naked eye, no xray needed. I guess they just wanted more money in 6 months at next cleaning. Don't trust these corporate places, they are clean and friendly, but don't take care of the problems. Just want to do their excess cleaning and keep you coming back. read more

Wonderful staff. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and work well with each other. Dr. Blenvenida was pleasant and thorough. I broke a front tooth and I left with great temporaries and a perfect bite. I just got my permanents and they are beautiful. read more

What can I say the team is absolutely awesome I had a partial denture made for me and had some fitment problems after it was done so I would go back in and I would work with Jasmine and I have to say she is absolutely the best the whole staff is awesome highly recommended. read more
