The one star is for the one employee who was so kind to my Dad. She treated him like family. Unfortunately, she is no longer there. I do NOT recommend this business. The turnover rate will give you whiplash. The main reason I have issues with this business is because my mother is being told that she has to pay $820 for dentures my dad couldn't use. He passed away in September 2023. Before he passed, he looked forward to getting new dentures. His previous set broke when he fell in the E.R. in 2022. Since his dentist charged two organs and a car note, I foolishly recommended my dad try Aspen after viewing a TV ad. Long story short, my dad had to return to Aspen in Richardson at least 5 times. The bottoms never fit comfortably, and he was told they wouldn't be able to keep adjusting because the material wasn't thick enough. You get what you pay for. The quality of the dentures wasn't half as good as his old ones (which were over 10 yrs old). He never got to use them. His weight loss was so drastic because he was tired of eating soft foods, so he barely ate. He ended up needing a feeding tube for over a month before he passed. Today, Angela at Aspen said that since he didn't return the dentures within 90 days, there's nothing they can do now. My dad was battling stage 4 liver cancer. C'mon! He was in and out of the hospital in 2023. These people have NO compassion. read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON YOUR TEETH. They herd you like cattle thru there, take your money and the services are horrible. Dr. Jung, who they say is their only doctor is rough, lies about teeth color and has incompetent assistants working with him. Dr. Jung does not even seat the new appliances in your mouth! He let's his incompetent staff do whatever. The ONLY competent person there is Leigh Ann the Lab Tech, she has to come in and do the assistants job right and fix whatever they can't do. I selected Aspen to take my dental needs and they where absolutely amazing. I had Many extractions done and received my temporary dentures all in on day. Never had any pain. Been a fairly "long time" patient. Thus wasnt my firstbquestionable situation, but i tend to give a looooot of chances to people and places but today fulky confirmed for me that I'm not valued as a patient/customer....Apparently they've implemented a process of canceling your appt if they can't reach you to confirm. Some of us WORK or have other things going on daily and can't always answer the phone exactly when they call. They don't leave detailed messages about WHY they're calling, They don't answer when you call back, their phone system is tedious, and they close super early on Fridays. Usually, if someone DOESNT call to cancel, it can be assumed they ARE coming. I recommend that they implement some sort of no show policy and charge the irresponsible no show patients versus canceling long-term patients' appointments in such an illogical manner. I've spent lots of money here (on top of the astronomical amounts they've received from my insurance - the dental racket) but will be taking it elsewhere as I took off work today for an appt I had booked. It's not just about your business, Aspen. It's about your patients' care, time, and money, too. I like Dr Kell, but I'm pissed at the detached way Aspen handles business. My Medicare Advantage plan through Humana covered almost 2/3 of the full price, and I'm pleased with the outcome. I'll be a regular patient there for my periodic cleanings from now on. read more

Went in to get three permanent crowns. Paid $400 to get teeth whitened first. Not much change from whitening. Coukd have just used strips from target in retrospect. So today got temporary crowns and they look horrible. Can't believe they let me leave the office. Got home and really panicked. Considering the amount they are charging. Meanwhile I called to speak with office manager about it. Was left on hold forever only to be told he was "with a customer,". Ok. So still waiting for that call back hours later. Not happy. Had just switched from firewheel. Will be switching back to previous dentist along with fiance if they DO NOT take care of this. read more

You will immediately be welcomed like family, they do not rush you and will listen to every concern. You will never feel your questions are ignored, very supportive and responsive. Now let me tell you about Dr. Kell, who I call; THE SINGING DENTIST! Yes, while you are waiting you may hear some Cher, Beyonce or whatever else he has going in his mental playlist. Something about hearing your dentist singing away that eases the nervousness! Always super upbeat and takes his time to hear all of your concerns. Best dentist I've ever had! Take your entire family, I'm pretty sure he also takes song requests. Got a tooth extracted a week ago. Followed all the doctors guidelines and I'm still in pain and it is oozing yellowish fluid. Definitely seems infected and it is painful. I called to speak to the dentist To see if they could call in more antibiotics or a stronger one, because I took all the ones he gave me. I was told that I needed to be seen, not a big deal, but they could not get me in for 5 days. Seriously???? I told the lady on the phone that it is painful and infected and said so I just need to sit here with this infection growing and no antibiotics for 5 more days? And her response was "well yes". My experience with Aspen Dental is the best experience with a dentist office I have ever had! The entire staff - from the front desk to dental assistants to the office manager was exceptional.
