All the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and attentive making sure I was comfortable and informed. I was there for an initial new patient assessment. Dentist, Dr. Layla Lohmann, was a breath of fresh air as she conveyed a level of competency and empathy I have rarely seen in prior dental health providers. She effectively communicated and advocated realistic, wholistic treatment plans. If you hate visiting the dentist, you need to try Dr. Lohmann. She's the best dentist in Dallas. After 15+ cavity fillings with a dozen different dentists, I feel like an unwilling dental patient expert. My teeth don't numb properly, so every filling was a clenched-fist, please-just-be-over experience. After hundreds of dollars and several tries, I gave up on a bad tooth and decided to just chew on the other side of my mouth forever. Enter Dr. Lohmann, who I decided to try after reading loads of good reviews online. She quickly and academically identified what was causing me pain and preventative steps we could take to preserve several other suspicious teeth. She gave me a thorough education in my options, starting with the most conservative approach. There's a reason she teaches this stuff. Now Dr. Lohmann has done a variety of procedures on my teeth, which are now pain free for the first time in years. I can firmly say Dr. Lohmann is not only the most capable dentist I've met, but the most compassionate as well. She makes sure everything she does is as painless and easy as possible. She remembers my dental history better than I do and settles for nothing less than excellent results every time. Her staff (shout out to Kathy) are sweet, patient and experts at what they do. My last dentist's assistant made fun of me for being nervous and needing extra numbing shots; hold that in contrast to the extreme patience and care of Dr. Lohmann's staff, who often carve out extra time for me to make sure I'm comfortable. My family and I have been using Dr. Rankin for 30 years. He is the BEST dentist I have ever had. He is conservative with procedures, choosing to do the least intrusive options first to see if that addresses the problem, which always been the case unless it was something significant like an abscessed tooth or split root on a tooth with an old root canal. Yes these things can happen and it is the result of a dead tooth being brittle. He has referred me to endodontists when root canals are needed. I have recommended several friends there and have heard only positive feedback. The staff are wonderful people!! They couldn't be nicer. You can't go wrong with this team. read more

Awesome Dentist. I'm not a fan of Dentist to be honest. This one saw me after hours Friday and Saturday in my time of major need with an infection that caused major pain and discomfort. As a self employed person I couldn't afford to be out of work. Dr Lohmann treated me like I was family although she had never seen me before. Since then I have had my teeth cleaned and my wife has moved here. To say the least she is a caring and awesome Dentist. She took my pain away and I didn't feel a thing. That's alone says volumes. Dr. Rankin is the best Dentist out there. He is my childhood dentist and I went back to him even though their office is far from my house. I had a bad experience with another dentist who said I needed a root canel. I didn't think I needed one so I went to three other dentists who all said I don't see what is causing your pain. One who was a Endodontist. So as a last resort they fit me in right away and he took one look at it and said I know what your problem is. Your bite is too high. You don't need a root canel at all. So he filled down the filling that was done by the other dentist. He also asked me if I have trouble flossing my teeth back there. I said yes how did you know? He said the fillings are too close together. Before I thought I had gum problems but he fixed it within seconds. I made a latter appointment to fix my front teeth also from the other dentist who filled them down so thin that Dr. Rankin and I could see his finger behind them. He fixed them with bonding and it looks like my normal teeth again. He recommended that I go to an orthodontist to straighten my teeth out. After I did that I had no more teeth problems. read more
