the front desk receptionist was amazing but I am sad to say that the price quote we were given (which were going to pay out of pocket) @ about $9000 for a implant for a tooth plus several other "needed" procedures including several resins for "cavities", the total shocked me. I then made another appointment in Carrolton with Beverly Dental , another dentist where we were told the tooth could be recrowened and an implant for it was not needed and other then 2 resins (two cavities) and a cleaning we were given a quote of $2000 which is $7000 less . I dislike having to write this but feel that we were not told the exact truth of the whole matter . Also we were charged $200 for x-rays and Beverly Dental did the xrays for free. read more

I was really impressed with all the staff at Infinity Dental. They explained everything they were going to do, gave me a tour of the facility, and even explained what they were looking for on my xrays. The process started with an iodine rinse; I asked what it was for, and the hygienist (sorry, can't remember her name) said it was used during COVID to completely disinfect the mouth prior to any work. There are TVs strategically placed in the exam rooms to help distract the patient while potentially painful work is being performed. I can't speak highly enough of this place - I love it! read more

Just moved to Dallas from VA and needed to schedule my next cleaning + evaluation. I have a very solid dental insurance. When I contacted this place I was told that my initial visit will cost $100 out of pocket. The explanation given didn't sound reasonable at all, if not sketchy. So I found another equally reputable dentist here on Yelp. Today had a visit with them and they charged me $0.00 out of pocket, as expected. So, for those looking for new dentist, please be aware that Infinity Dental Care will try to make some "extra cash" off of you. I do not often review anything on Yelp, a lurker, I know, terrible, but I was particularly inspired to review Infinity Dental and Dr. Shirey. After, not having been to the dentist for years and years and also getting a general sense to take care of my health as I near the big 30, I visited another practice Uptown that quoted a treatment plan and I was ready to pull the trigger. Luckily, I decided to get a 2nd opinion here at Infinity Dental and am now currently getting treated here. Dr. Shirey completely changed my mind and opened my eyes on how I think about my teeth. The focus was on my oral health. Some doctors et al are fixated on the problem, but do not think of it or explain it in terms of your overall health. I was educated about my teeth, gums, the surrounding bone, biting surfaces and percentages, and the longevity of different procedures and options. Very detailed and thorough. Although, the first office I visited had a similar treatment plan in the end, I want to have a dentist that also cares about my well being and takes the time to make sure I understand what is going on, what needs to be done, and why. The staff and everyone who works there is super friendly and nice. They are informative and answer all my questions (I ask a lot). I always feel welcomed and that they're happy to see me. Not just another number. While I do need to get a lot of work down (7+years of no dentist) and will feel it in my pocket book, their prices were the similar to the other office I got a my first treatment plan from and similar to a bunch of others that I called and emailed in Dallas. Moreover, the treatment plan was in the same zone as far what needed to get done. This definitely built my trust and confirmed my decision to come here. It is weird to say, but for the first time I am excited and feel empowered about my teeth and oral health and taking care of my body in general. Very glad to have happened upon Infinity Dental! ****Professional, Thorough, Caring***** There are a few things that are quickly discernible about Dr. Shirey and they are the reasons why she won me over as a new patient. Both Dr. Shirey and her staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They are not looking to sell expensive treatments, they are interested in the correct treatment and methods to prevent recurrence. They are clearly experts in their field. Dr. Shirey is very thorough. She is willing to take the time to get to know you, everything that is going on in your mouth, your habits etc., in an effort to make sure she correctly understands the root cause of any issues and also to establish some history so that they can catch things early as they notice changes. It is also clear that the entire staff cares about doing the right thing and doing it well. Some dentists may make you feel as if their practice is only a money making machine, Infinity wanted to diagnose and treat me correctly, while keeping me as comfortable as possible and explaining details to me along the way. Dr. Shirey is the third dentist I've seen in the last year and my only complaint is that I didn't start going to Infinity sooner! The physical office is very peaceful and low-key; they clearly want you to feel comfortable. I've been nothing but pleased with the dental work I've gotten done there (cleaning and fillings, at present I'm waiting for a crown to be made). More than anything else, I appreciate how gentle and respectful everyone at Infinity is. Dr. Shirey and her team are the absolute best. In the past I've relied on recommendations from friends on dentists and when I moved to Dallas 4 years ago I was in need of a new dental care provider. Doc and her team are all incredibly friendly, well mannered, and have that sweet Texas hospitality charm. On top of that, Dr. Shirey takes the time to explain each procedure before getting started. It's incredibly comforting to sit in that chair and have a layman's understanding of what's going on. Here's the kicker. I had previously dealt with fluorosis stains on my two front teeth since childhood, despite always having great hygiene. I'd had them as long as I can think back to looking in a mirror as a kid. Living 20+ years with brown stains on my teeth didn't exactly instill any self confidence in my appearance. After working with Dr. Shirey and her team to get them removed, I can look in the mirror with confidence and not be self-conscious when I smile and laugh. I hope I never have to leave Dallas and hope she has no plans of retirement soon, because Dr. Shirey is irreplaceable. read more

For some strange reason, my hubby and I went to another dentist for years and must have put his kids through college...and we have dental insurance! I finally wised up and started looking around when I was tired of his lectures and prices. Found the reviews for Infinity, which is also super close to home. I've been 4 times now and highly recommend it! This week, the assistant who cleaned my teeth did an exceptional job - I swear my teeth look better than ever! Sorry that I stink at remembering names. Dr Shirey is awesome and checks on you after the cleaning. I also really like her as a person. Who else would have a Christmas tree with foster dogs on it so you can buy and donate the treats, food, toys, or even care they need? When I saw that tree, I knew I'd found my dentist! read more

We were referred to Dr. Shirey from our Aggie Alumni and I am so glad we found her!! I live in Frisco and drive to Dallas because she is so great! She is the first dentist I trust and is very honest in what realistically needs to be done. Both with my husband and I have been going to her for a couple years and the staff is ALWAYS friendly, punctual, and transparent! I came to Dr. Shirey because I had another dentist do an unnecessary root canal. Dr. Shirey connected me with a root canal specialist and fought insurance with us so that it would be covered. She went above and beyond and only wants the best for her patients! She is also very big on preventative care so that you can slow down issues that may arise at a later date. I cannot say enough Wonderful things about Dr. Shirey and Infinity Dental! I have been going to see them for over 5 years. I have referred many of my friends and family to them. Today was a classic example of why I do! I have a crown on a dental post that after many long years gave out on me on Sunday. I called them on Monday and they were able to get me in for a consult visit on this today. As we were scheduling me to come back for the repair tomorrow, the patient following my appointment cancelled. So, I was able to go right back in and have my crown repaired today! No pain! No issues. This review sucks to write. I loved the two dentists who run this practice. They absolutely deserve the five star ratings that are prevalent on their page. However their front desk deserves a -1 star lol. They are the most disorganized and confused bunch I've encountered in a doctors office. I spent two weeks calling the office and playing phone tag with one of the receptionists trying to get an appointment to remove a crown before I just gave up. This one receptionist was apparently 'assigned' to me and she was supposed to be handling it because I had an active infection (aka needed to have surgery ASAP). She kept calling me and telling me that she was 'working on it.' I ended up calling the referred oral surgeon back and told them of all of the issues I was having getting the crown removed to see if the surgeon could just remove it. Guess what happened? They called the dentist office and had my appointment made within thirty minutes. Wtf. What kind of magical powers did they possess to get that appointment made for me? For some things, I may never have an answer. Not only did I struggle to make an appointment- but it was ANOTHER PRACTICE that had to call and make the appointment for me... lol what?? I just find them to be quite disorganized. When the clinic called me with a reminder for my six month appointment, I canceled without a reschedule. Then the next day, the same exact girl called me again to remind me about the six month appointment that I canceled the day before. It was the weirdest déjà vu moment. How did she not cancel my appointment the first time? How did she not recognize my name and phone number? Well, apparently she fixed it so that I am -really- canceled this time.. but wtf? Seriously? Btw she also said someone would follow up with me later regarding my discontinuation with their practice and can you guess what happened next? lol nothing. Nothing happened, no one ever called. It's all good though. There are plenty of dentists in Dallas who will appreciate my business and all that out of pocket cash I'll be paying for a new crown. In good faith, I can't recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I've been under Dr Shirley's care for over 3 years now! Regular visits to the dentist have always been a problem for me. I hated getting my teeth cleaned or any kind of dentist visits. I had a few bad experiences as a kid and always leave feeling guilty for my dental hygiene. My experience here was so different than anywhere I have ever been! My first visit I received a full look over from the doc herself... she told me everything I needed to do, not because I'm just supposed too... but because she promised I could see measurable improvement to my teeth and gums. I was so enrolled by her commitment to my having a great smile that she became the first dentist I don't lie too! Haha! It's been three years and my teeth and gums have never looked better! I made an appointment with this dentist on the basis of their Yelp reviews, and also the fact that they are a covered provider under my dental insurance. The experience wasn't horrifying or anything, but it wasn't good either. The office is a stand-alone 7-11 style building near the intersection of NW highway and Abrams. It didn't give me a great first impression. My first office visit was reaaaaaaally long, and I ended up having to pay about $80 out of pocket. The visit went like this: arrive 10:50am to fill out paperwork, 11:10 go into treatment room and answer more health history questions, 11:30 two sets of x-rays are taken, 12pm dentist arrives, [edit] looks at my teeth, and speaks with me about my treatment plan, 12:20pm gum mapping with the assistant, 12:45pm speak with the payment coordinator about my treatment plan costs, 1pm finally released into the wild, 2 HOURS LATER. No one likes being at any doctor's office that long, and in my opinion two hours is just too long for an exam and x-rays (no cleaning). [end edit - it was 2+ hours not three] On top of that, the fact that they took two different kinds of x-rays, and knew full well that insurance doesn't cover more than one x-ray series every 5 years, as well as that it is potentially dangerous for my health to be exposed to so much radiation all at once is legitimately worrisome. Finally, when I thought I was free to go, I wasn't. Instead I had to meet with a sort of in-house collections agent who proceeded to go through a breakdown of the costs associated with my treatment plan. Fine. The problem here is that although she did call my insurance company and was aware of my specific coverage plan, she showed me prices that didn't actually match up with my coverage levels. For example, a crown is about $1000 at Infinity Dental, and my particular insurance plan covers that at 80%. According to Infinity, I would be responsible for 50% at the time of service, and then once my insurance company paid Infinity their portion, I would receive either a credit for future service or a refund from them (seemingly likely via a bank check). Exqueezzze me?! After calling my insurance company directly, they confirmed my suspicion that I should only be paying what I'm responsible for and not more than that to be reimbursed later. The dentist and her assistants were all perfectly nice, and seemed to be good enough at their jobs. That said though, all they did was really look around in my mouth, poke at my gums for a bit, and then gave me a treatment plan that would get them the most $$, including services I didn't even need (e.g., deep cleaning nets them about $450). If you're used to a regular dentist experience, where you're in and out in under an hour with clean teeth, a fat wallet, and a smile, Infinity Dental is not a good choice. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Shirey for 6 years now. When I first moved to Dallas, my teeth and gums were not in the best shape. Interactions with past dentists hadleft me leery of regularly getting my teeth checked. My first visit with Dr. Shirey made me really hopeful that I could finally get good dental care! Not once has Dr. Shirey tried to push unnecessary procedures or products on me. Where my previous dentists have seen minor cavities and immediately suggested a procedure, Dr. Shirey has only put these spots on watch, so to speak. I feel very confident that Dr. Shirey and her staff only want the best outcome for my dental health. I'm sorry to say that in the past my dentists have seemed to care more about money and it has led to procedures that have actually caused problems. Infinity has excellent customer service and the staff is very detail oriented with their approach. They articulate their services well and walk you through what they are doing so you know exactly where they are working. I have extremely sensitive gums and they offered up a numbing gel which took away all the pain during a "deep cleaning".
