So, I have decided to write this review. I had an appointment on Monday at 2:50pm for a custom facial. This was my first time to the spa. Kayla was my esthetician. She seemed very nice. The problems began when I got on the table. It was really cold in the room. I guess I expected the table and blankets to be warm considering it was snowing outside. When she started the facial, I just felt she had little to no experience in what she was doing. I have had many facials, and this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. I couldn't even relax and enjoy it because it was so bad. She was also wearing gloves that were too big for her hands, and it just felt so bad on my face. I've never had a facial where the esthetician wore gloves. I am an ER nurse, and I haven't had a facial in over a year. I was really looking forward to this. For a $155.00 facial, my expectations were high. I booked the Custom Facial online and the description I copy pasted below from Vagaro. Custom Facial $155.00 Our Custom 60 min Facial with L.E.D. is a tailored experience designed to address your unique skin concerns. There was no assessment of my complexion to create a personalized treatment plan. She didn't talk to me at all during the facial. There were a few extractions which she mostly just concentrated on my nose. I felt she was distracted or something. There was no pressure at all used when she was trying to massage my shoulders. It felt awful. I literally couldn't wait for it to be over. I felt ripped off to be honest. I would not recommend this spa to anyone after my experience.

That is why I choose Medically Yours over other places in Sedona to get a touch up laser hair removal (Brazilian) I called to make an appointment three days in advance. The person to whom I spoke was very helpful and found a time for me right away. I received good communication via text and email. I filled out the patient information sheet online. Late on the afternoon of the day before my appointment i got an voice mail from the receptionist (Emily). It said, "I'm calling about your appointment tomorrow with Kelsey. If you could give me a call back at your earliest convenience at phone number. Unfortunately Kelsey is not able to do that procedure tomorrow. Again give us a call back and I'm gonna cancel it for now it's just not something she is comfortable doing." An apology would have been nice, but was not forth coming. Why advertise services for men, if the staff is not comfortable performing the procedure. This is very unprofessional to say the least. I have never experience this kind of treatment from a professional place. My time was wasted. Oh well!
