After seeing my friends/neighbors asphalt driveway done professionally by Gerry and his crew, I…read morecalled for an estimate.( I've spent years and countless hours diligently filling cracks and sealing the asphalt and it still kept cracking and generally looked awful). Gerry was prompt in coming over to give me a reasonable estimate which included resetting some Belgian blocks which were elevated due to a tree that had previously been bordering our driveway. I didn't even notice how bad they looked because of how bad the driveway looked! Gerry told me to expect the work to begin in about 10 days and he was true to his word. His crew ripped up the driveway and then came back a few days later to fix the Belgian blocks. A few days later, they were here with the asphalt and completed the project. It looks fantastic! This is the third time I've had the driveway done in the 36 years we've owned our home. The first two times we waited about a month between the time the driveway was demolished and the new asphalt was installed. ProMaster was so much quicker and I've never had a driveway look so good. The asphalt seems to be stronger, like a commercial grade that you'd see when a shopping center is repaired. Strongly recommend this company!

Ready Roof was the 4th and final estimate I needed. Of the previous 3, the 1st did not even set…read morefoot on the roof (salesman), and their estimate was so high, it was through the roof (no pun intended). The 2nd estimate was reasonable, but not as detailed, and the 3rd was also reasonable, but told me there was an area he could not get to with the soffits against my front cedar panels as he would risk damaging them. (I was getting an estimate for my roof (as well as for the company to build casing/housing unit around my rusty gas chimney), sky light, attic fan, siding, gutters/leaders, and soffits). Once I contacted Ryan (8/2023), we tentatively set up a date for him to come for an estimate, giving me a heads up that him and his wife were expecting a baby any day. Any human being would understand that and agree. He followed up the next day, and we worked it out for him to squeeze me in. Ryan was on time, as per our agreement, polite, and got right to work. He pulled his ladder right off the truck, and made his way up to the roof. In the past (since moving here in 2015), I've been told I have a "few years" left on my roof, but knew since the house was built in 1988, and it is the original roof, that my time has come. Ryan took pictures, did all the measurements, and came down to show me, and discuss. In addition, we walked the perimeter of the house to get an idea of the remainder of the work I wanted done. During this time, with absolutely no pressure, sales pitch, and non-sense add-ons, he offered me many great ideas, as well as opinions, and spent more than enough time with me. He really gave me the comfort level of making an easy decision, and that was to use his company without even seeing the estimate. A few days later, he sent me the estimate, as I had requested it to a specific email account (so it wouldn't go into spam). Very well put together, PDF format, with pictures of all the work that needed to be done: roof, casing/housing around the gas chimney, sky light, attic fan, siding, gutters/leaders, and soffits. It was one of the best estimates I have seen meticulously put together. Ryan had everything itemized, in case I did not want to move forward with the project in its entirety. I did, and thought the price was more than fair for the scope of the work, and lots less than the other 3 companies that were here prior. With our first meeting going so well, and the presentation of the estimate, (price always helps as well, lol), I knew this was a reflection on the quality of work Ryan and his crew would carry out (of course, Ready Roof did NOT disappoint). During the pre-construction phase, we kept in touch, with Ryan quickly answering my calls, texts, and emails, being very communicative. This was necessary, needing samples dropped off (so the wife can approve), paperwork that needed to be signed, or my annoying constant questions on caring for my house as if it was his own. Ryan reiterated to me about how he cares for clients houses as if it is his own, with tarps, and making sure there is no damage. Ryan and his crew have the tools, machinery, and the finesse of true professionals. The roof was ripped and finished in a day, and the rest of the work took a few weeks. Many factors played a role (not Ryan's fault). I had my own personal issues with my dad in the hospital, continuous rainy weather, and me wanting to be home to see the work progress, not to mention I was getting premium siding (special order). During this whole time, Ryan was on the job, making sure I was satisfied, products delivered were of good quality and correct. Ryan did not hesitate with any questions I threw at him, and there were many each day. A true business man, making the customer happy.........EXTREMELY! He followed through after the project was done and sent me pictures from his drone of the before/after. From start to finish, all the work completed was done correctly, professionally, with care for my home, and a success in making my wife and I happy (I/we can be a pain in the a**). I need to uphold a beautiful look of my house, since I am a corner property. I am getting tons of compliments on the work Ryan and his crew did, and all the time they put into it, was well worth it. I could not have asked for anything more, as far as anyone doing a better job. Ryan, and his company Ready Roof truly made my home look beautiful. They were READY to do a ROOF..... AND lots more. Brian came and did all the pre-work for measurements and ordering and was very flexible with installation timeline, as we were scheduling install before our move into the home. Brian had great communication in the lead up to the install, including ensuring delivery & acclimation of flooring materials. It took nearly 3 full days to complete the job, but all the while they showed me progress, explained how to care for the floor, and even came back a few weeks later to add additional trim for the stairway leading up, to match the newly installed trim. Over deliver, ahead of schedule, exceeding expectations, didn't have to become my own project…read moremanager, trust worthy crew,  over and beyond are some ways I have to describe John J Contracting and this blows my mind because every contractor who has done work to my house over the last 15 years in most cases not one of those descriptive words apply to any of them! To say that I'm blown away by John J contracting who checked off every one of those boxes is mind blowing to me Project was to convert my garage into a utilizable living space  I 1st met with Paul who listened to what I wanted done and put together a plan to help me convert my garage into a dance/music studio for my kids.   His ideas were better then the previous 3 contractors I met with, he took a day to create my estimate and from a price perspective he fell in between the high and the low bids I already had. Paul's professionalism kinda sold me, he was very focused and has a great personality. I wanted him to win the job and he fell in my budget so it made my decision very easy to choose them A day before the projects start date I met with John Joyce the owner who came to my house with Paul. We went over some last minute details and ideas and he had a lot of offer from a design and practicality perspective.   Day one of renovation went amazingly well, Joe was over seeing the demo, he was great and didn't cause any collateral damage to my house. Demo guys sometimes can. He didn't , Framing was overseen by another Joe. He was meticulous and had great foresight to the project. Engaged me with any concerns and we worked through all unforeseen obstacles my garage presented. The electrition and plumber were top notch. They were specialist to there perspective fields. My last contractor had one guy for everything but not certified in anything. Unlike any other contractor I ever had they showed up every day. Everyday there was progress being made to my renovation. Most importantly to me was that Paul and John both stopped by my job site every day and sometimes 3 times in a day. But on average probably twice a day to oversee the progress and make enhancements/adjustments as necessary as the project developed, at no extra charge in some cases, they definitely wanted to do what was best for me and not beat me over the head In the process with additional costs. The project called for 3 weeks from start to finish. They completed it ahead of schedule.  All the workers were trustworthy and personable I felt 100% comfortable to leave my young kids home alone for a short time while the guys were working.  At no point did I have have to act as my own project manager as I had to in the past with other contractors. At no point I had to chase them around just to get confirmations on simple things like "are you coming today? " like I had to in the past Paul picked up the phone I would have to say within three rings 99% of the time. Even on Sundays.  To give an idea of who I used in the past  Allure to do my upstairs in 2018.  They had missed a lot of days and a the PM Chris would never return my calls and once the job started he Just went MIA.  I give them 4 out of 10 stars and would never recommend them. Refused to use them again. I paid 30% more and for 50% less I'm my opinion  CCP contracting Who did a renovation downstairs in 2019.  Owner would not return unless I had sent a scathing text message begging for a call back, and when he called me back he made me feel like I was bothering him. Started my job in mid April needed it done by my birthday mid May and commited to that time frame, and did not end up not finishing till mid June. After the job was done things that needed to be touched up and they ghosted me pretty much.  ( John J actually fixed some of their issues for me) I can't say enough good about John J Contracting, I will only use them going forward, I recommend them to the highest degree.  Do not start a project without giving them consideration James
