Never had lifting our other problems that happen to acrylic nails. I am very rough on my nails. We get fills every the weeks. At one point my daughter went three months without a fill. I honestly did not want to give any star at all, but is necessary. The first time I wen to this place I was impressed with the quality of the work done. I came back a few other times, but as they started getting use for me to go over, and over they seem like why didn't care having me there as a customer. The wife was nice to me in the beginning, until she started to see me more often and often, but the day I was there for the last time was the day i decided not to comeback never again. She was working on my nails and all the sudden she left to the wax room to get somebody's eyebrows done!!! she didn't even say "excuse" or "ill be right back" SHE JUST left and leave my like idiot sitting on there for more than 12 minutes!. The whole point of my review is for you to know, they DO NOT care for you as a costumer they just want your $$ money. They are rude, and the equipment they use is not clean! Pay attention when you go!! They pull tools out of the table's drawers, where they are sitting and working every day 6 days a week for about 10 hours, I am saying this for you to think about how nasty the tools might be, pay attention to the buffer, and the nail filer have residues from other people's nails. (yuk) They think they are 'the place" but trust me we have better places in Marina to get my nails done with amazing service and CLEAN. read more

Don't believe "walk ins welcome" posted on their building. Went there yesterday at 2pm, not busy at all. They told me and my girlfriend to "come back another day" . Went here with my sister , because we saw the good reviews . The nail technicians were friendly I'll give them that however I was very disappointed in my nails . I asked for a coffin shape , even provided a picture. Made sure to explain nicely that I didn't want them too thin .. guess i got best of both worlds. This place is not good. When you get a regular manicure they dont use UV lights to dry the paint all they use is a fan so the paint never drys correctly therefore your nails will get dinged up, smudged and messed up. Dont go here worst service ever. read more

I had my first pedicure here and I wouldn't go any where else. This place is the best the people are friendly and everyone remembers you if you go once or twice. They talk to you nice and ask if you need anything. The special is well priced and I use the extra cash for tips. I can't say enough about this place. I would go every week if I could. I went in there with an open mind thinking that maybe this spot would be kinder and higher quality spot, but I was wrong. Seriously terrible customer service and poor quality. The associates made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. There was another customer getting pampered and as I sat there waiting for my own nails to dry, all of the associates and customer thought it was a fun idea to gossip about me. Like they would ask me questions if I had a boyfriend or if I was married and had any kids. First of all, its none of their business to ask me those kind of questions. Second, its not their place to laugh and make judgment of someone else life style. Like all other customers who walk through their door, I work, go to school, has been in a long term relationship and the last thing I freaking need is some inconsiderate associate and costumer to pin assumptions, judgement and laughter on me or any one else. It surely is not the place where I would invest money into. Especially when their own associates make it uncomfortable for their customers to sit through an unfriendly and uncomfortable environment. This is favorite place for a pedicure. Extremely nice staff, overall. They chat with you and with each other, but only in friendly ways. The foot massage and pedicure are awesome, and the massage chairs are better than average. The manicures are a bit variable- mostly great, with one lady I don't care for. The male who does manicures I believe is the owner, and he really seems to take pride in a job well done. Mostly though, I love this place for the pedis. :) read more

Went in today for a gel manicure. I just moved to the area, so I am trying to find my new nail spot. Not all of my prior gel was removed, but the shaping of my nails was spot on. I brought a photo of a specific design I wanted done, and I was told it would be no problem. I made an appointment, but they were still really busy. The woman who worked on my hands seemed rushed. Sadly, I realized after I left that there are fibers under the gel that are visible. The texture is bumpy (in areas where there is no design), she rushed the application of the top coat which slightly smeared the design, and the polish ends before the edge of my nail. My nails look okay until you look up close. At $25 + $7 for the design, I am not thrilled. I will continue looking for a nail place I can rely on. read more

I recommend this salon so much!! Van is so good at doing acrylics I've been going to her for my nails for about a year and a half now and I don't regret it at all. It doesn't hurt at all and I even brought my 14 year old here to get her acrylics done and she's hooked. I went to this place about five times and had a good experience getting pedicures from the owner (male), who is very professional and hardworking. However, the rude treatment I received from his wife (which is mentioned in other posts here) was enough to make me stop going. She seems jealous and appears to be talking negatively about people while they are getting treatments. It's very odd. Normally I would side with a woman, but her husband is not flirtatious or inappropriate at all. So it ends up just being awkward and annoying. It's a shame because the price is right, and the pedicures are pretty good. read more

This is not a place where you go to enjoy wine and relax. This is a no nonsense inexpensive but very good job no nonsense place. Very small, no frills, but hard working group of ladies. They don't skimp on details. I appreciated the rigorous rub and massage. I'm from San Jose and for double the price, I get the frills and the whole shebang, but never feel like I'm getting bang for my buck. This isn't your fancy schmancy place, but I'm very pleased with the results. When I'm in town and need a mani pedi, I'll be sure to make an appointment. Tip: call and make an appointment--small salon, only a three techs when we were there and all occupied. We waited a good 20 minutes even with appointments and arriving early.
