Owner definitely pushed sales of his own cigars as opposed to different brands, but what made us leave quickly were the racist figurines in the display case. Pricing seemed fine, but atmosphere was not welcoming before I noticed the painted figures and I definitely wasn't staying once I saw them. read more

Not sure how insulting your customers by calling them a newbie helps you stay in business. Drove by and saw the sign for hand rolled cigars. I always try to support the small shops/brands but an experience like this might change my mind. I stop in and was greeted immediately. The guy there shows me their house brand cigars which I don't mind because I like unique stuff. First thing he asked was where I lived as if that had anything to do with anything. He said he asked because he "knows everyone around here" and "everyone comes here for their cigars." Okay... Now I have been smoking cigars for a few years and asked him what flavor profile his cigars have. He called me a newbie and said all cigars taste the same. If all cigars tasted the same, why are there different cigars? He said to trust him because he's been in the business for 40 years. I told him he must be old then. He asked me what that meant and I said that means he's old. He said that was an insult. I asked him if calling a customer a newbie was an insult. He apologized but it was beyond rescue by that point. Places like this is why I go to Ybor for my cigars. Try to buy from the mom and pop shops but I can't justify spending my money there when someone acts like a fool. You'd think a business would have a goal of selling to customers to make a profit to stay in business but not that guy. read more

I needed cigars for a golf event with my work. Not knowing a ton about cigars I stopped in this cigar shop since it was close to the office in Pinellas Park. I wasn't sure what to expect, this is a house that's been turned into a cigar shop/lounge. Morgan took great care of me and helped me select some house blend cigar bundles that were a huge hit. Stay clear from this place. All he does is push his own cigars which are stale and old. Very impatient and I was the only one there. He should be thrilled to have business as I am telling everyone I know to stay clear. I checked in on yelp to get a free cigar and was told he doesn't know anything about it. I show him and he just says no. No is a complete sentence so to you guy, no. Never going to step into your place again. I pass by this location several times throughout my week well today I decided to stop and what a WASTE of Time!! I walked in the door and was greeted with TVs blaring and a man that was ready to pounce like a cat. I was smoking a(n) Olivia Melanio Siere V and the gentleman asked me what I smoke, I proceed to tell him I like a medium to Full body and with that the race began. He immediately took me to his house blend case and started pointing at his selection and what he thought I would be interested in. I stood quietly and absorbed as much as Information as I could within the mere minutes he spoke. I gandered across the store and saw some additional cases with boxes of prevalent names in the cigar world and upon a closer look the boxes were empty. I asked the tobacconist if he had any additional boxes with stock somewhere else in the store and he bluntly told me if your looking for the latest and greatest from cigar aficionado or a big name in the business he wasn't the store I was looking for!! I then named a couple sticks that should be in stock at any Cigar Lounge/Bar and he repeated he wasn't the store I was looking for so I then told him I'm disappointed that your literally pushing me out the door and the few reviews I read online were true and he isn't interested in selling cigars to anyone unless your part of his "Normal Clique". I am always looking for great places to smoke a cigar. Usually I have plenty of time to sit and smoke for a couple of hours. I heard about this place at a cigar event and went to check it out, but I had to be at the airport in 1.5 hours . I just wanted a quick cigar and to see the place. The moment I walked in I was bombarded with "what kind of cigar do you like?" I tried to explain that I was just going to have a quick small cigar but the man got really irritable and snarky because I couldn't hear about the all of unique cigars they had. He was rude to me the whole time even though I did buy cigars. I would have like the place and would have gone back for the 2 hour cigars at some point but the rude behavior was a real turn off. read more

Leslie and Morgain and are awesome. An old saying comes to mind, with one modification: "May all who enter as a customer, leave as a friend". They have done a great job of renovating the place to bring out Leslie's personality. One room is a very comfortable retail area for cigar purchases. The other rooms are all decorated differently to accommodate those who wish to enjoy their cigar in a setting where no one is shy with conversations. It's just like being at home with only one difference, "Smoking IS allowed". If you are new to smoking cigars, this is also perfect for you. And this shop is VERY much female friendly. My next time there will be for the Superbowl party. My family is entering the winning chili. Or at least a good try at it. Stop by and see them. Buy a cigar for yourself. Then buy one for a friend. Owner is very rude. I called before going there to make sure they would be open until 8 PM as I didn't want to drive there only to find them closed. When I got there, the owner gave me attitude asking me if I was the person who just called. When I told him yes, he asked me if I call a gas station before getting gas. WTF? I was the only person there, left without buying anything and will never return. I guess he was too busy to be bothered with my phone call... and my business. LOL. read more

Why 2 star? Well that's the best I could do. When are cigar shop owners/managers going to stop assuming every one who walks thru the door doesn't know a cigar from a lollipop? When I ask to see your cigars, don't keep asking me what the same questions. Show me your products. Now either you dont have any, which is the case here, or you're just too lazy to be a shop manager. When you are selling hand rolls for $5.50 and this is your house brand, they are either a killer deal or just crap. Well they are crap. The rest of the limited selection is over priced. I think the manager is more interested in watching TV than working the shop. Great to be able to kick back, smoke cigars and plan your channel viewing for the next 2 weeks. Here's a tip: focus on building your clientele or they won't come back. Why the 2 stars? Nice comfy chairs, clean, lots of room but expensive or crap cigars being pushed, and no personality.
