She chose to go to the Plastic Surgery Group. My mother's doctor was Dr. Leadbetter. He was a cheery guy wearing an Ohio State head wrap. Now for the interesting piece of trivia. Dr. Leadbetter's hobby is sculpting. Not people, stone! It kinda makes you feel better about the guy sculpting your body huh? Besides the fact that this place is the business of taking people in, chopping them up, and then sending them off, they did a good job with my mom. She is very happy with the results. Karen, the nurse who took care of my mom, has a great personality and she really bonded with my mom during her pre and post-op appointments. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was that directly after the surgery, sure they gave her a chance to wake up from the anesthesia, she was rushed to get dressed and get out. The woman just had major surgery! This angered me a little, I mean they had just cut her open! Everyone should think twice about getting plastic surgery. The healing process is hard. However, sometimes it is needed for health reasons. In either case, you'll be in good hands at this facility.

I was assured that I would not lose enough breast tissue for anyone to notice. I kept getting told i was getting a lift. Not a reduction. I secured financial responsibility and had all my visits to prepare for my surgery. On August 30th i went under the knife. Dr Steven Robinson didnt even have the decency to go and talk to my husband who was waiting for me. He called him. Very Unprofessional in my opinion. We had just spent $12,000. It would have been money well spent had he done his job and did it good. 20+ years "Dr" Robinson had been cutting into people and somehow I was the one that got butchered. My incisions were deep, crooked, he overlapped causing a crease in my skin under my arms and my left breast incision had been coming open and infected. I had to buy butterfly bandages to pull incision back together and that didn't even work. Not to mention I literally bled from my incisions for weeks. I went into surgery a DDD and came out a D....but I "didnt" get a reduction. I became very self conscious and didn't leave the house for 6 months. I had always been a big chested girl until Robinson cut into me. I had spoke to the office manager about getting some money back as all I had gotten out of this was a botched surgery and scars that will last a lifetime. (Not a lift) One of my scars (now that it's been almost 2 years) is literally 1.5" wide. I wanted a lift to feel sexy and now I'm scarred for life. I dont feel sexy i feel ugly and damaged. I couldn't wait any longer so I went to The Plastic Surgery Institue in Dayton where I got 440 cc's implants put in just to get back to a DDD. How did I get that big of implants if he didnt remove any tissue? After going back and forth with the office they refused to pay me anything. I even told the office manager about my implants. I asked how did I have to get that big of implants to get back to my size before surgery if he hadnt removed tissue. She didnt have any answer. I highly recommend you NOT have Robinson do anything for you. He obviously needs to retire! **I tried to post some pics but for some reason its not working.

When I decided to start doing research on facial plastic surgery, I knew I wanted to consult with…read moreat least three local doctors. Dr. Chatham was on the list, along with two other well known Louisville plastic surgeons. From my first meeting with Dr. Chatham, I knew he was the one. As someone who's had plastic surgery before (a "mommy makeover" back in 2010), I already had an idea of who I was looking for: someone who didn't promise miracles, who was direct and honest about what could be done, and who really seemed to have my best interests and health at heart. A tall order for a plastic surgeon! Also, Dr. Chatham ONLY does facial surgeries, which made me confident he had the experience and focus to do the work I wanted. I was curious about both an upper/lower blepharoplasty, as well as a full on facelift. During our first consultation, Dr. Chatham suggested that I wasn't ready for a facelift -- and I probably wouldn't get the result I was looking for at this point. I'm 51 years old, so imagine how suprised I was to hear that feedback! Dr. Chatham is obviously a very knowledgeable expert, but two things really stood out to me: 1) his tone was kind, comforting, and conversational, 2) he made ME the focus of the discussion, instead of talking up his own expertise. Not only did Dr. Chatham answer all my questions, but he gave me his personal contact information so I could reach out whenever I had another one. He promptly answered all my follow up questions (and I had a LOT) and I felt completely confident in his information. The fact that he was also less expensive -- he does surgeries in New Albany, IN -- was a big bonus, but I would not have chosen him just based on money, obviously. The surgery was scheduled and Dr. Chatham and everyone on his staff (especially Janet!) was attentive and thorought. The procedure at Baptist hospital went super smoothly, and the hospital staff could not have been more supportive, kind, and attentive. Dr. Chatham himself reached out several times during my initial recovery and continues to make himself available even as I'm about a month out. And the results? So far, spectacular and exactly what I was hoping for. My husband tells me every day that I still look like myself, just refreshed and renews -- as if I had the best nap of my life. THAT'S what I was hoping for! I could not have asked for a better experience and I'd highly recommend Dr. Chatham and his office for any facial procedure you're interested in.

I was referred to Dr Chatham. Dr Chatham was so easy to talk with and he worked with me to have time off for the surgery. He was very conscientious about making sure I had minimal bruising and he talked with me about recovery time. I was very pleased with the results. Since then, I have seen Dr Chatham for what I call my yearly 'tune-up'. I only have some facial injections and tweaks with no downtime from work. This is the strangest review I have ever written and it will probably hold that title for a while…read more I don't know if people would use Yelp to look for surgeon, but hey, it is one other platform to share information. I am giving 5 stars on my overall experience with the office staff, doctors, pricing, and results. At this practice, I went to see Dr. Geoffrey Durham-Smith for a breast reduction (non-cancer/illness related). I was referred by a friend who had a surgery done by him in the past and was satisfied with the results. I went for a consult (sometimes these are "free" meaning they may be covered by your insurance plan, CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE FIRST). At the consult, they will take your general information (height, weigh, blah blah) and it may include taking pictures of your breasts if that is what your surgery is for (it's weird, but just a heads up). Then the doctor will come in and briefly speak with you, ask you a few questions, and give you more information. If you want them to, they will submit a request for medical review/prior authorization to your insurance company to see, if you decide to have the surgery, if it is a covered benefit. Once they receive a response from your insurance company, they will get in touch with you. After the initial anger of my insurance company refusing to even review it for medical necessity (because it was NOT cancer related), I was able to talk with them about the self pay option. When it comes to self pay, they can give a pretty accurate quote (including the doctors fee, anesthesia, operating room, and hospital fees). Make sure to ask what fees may come up NOT included in the quote. I had a few fees come up that they did not say, which led to some anger and heated discussions with them, but everything was sorted out. The office staff was, 99% of the time, helpful and patient with all my questions and paperwork requests (needing receipts, FMLA paperwork for me and a caregiver, disability paperwork for work). The other 1% was after I received an unexpected bill and someone who didn't do the billing/cost information tried to help me and did not have all the information when I was already mad (if you already paid everything for you were quoted and you get another bill when you have already paid everything out of pocket, you would be mad too). Dr. Durham-Smith is a very professional and to the point doctor, he did not chit-chat and shoot the breeze. His bedside manner was all business, which when surgery and pain scare you and make you feel like a child, may not be the best, but the nurses at the office and at the hospital, help with that. I am very happy with my results from this surgery and experience with this office/doctor. If there are any women who are even THINKING about getting breast reduction, I greatly encourage you to at least get a consult, and I would recommend this office. Just make sure you are asking questions of your insurance company and to the office itself when it comes to money and coverage.
