My daughter pays you every year, and you inspect her tanks and drain field, but have never inspected the vault in the back at shop. So in that ten years we have replaced a pump for 1500. And no warranty, and now it has alarmed again. So if it's the pump again, I think you should be responsible for never checking it. But I'm sure even you will have a reason. Which won't be good because this vault is on the design and still no one checks it ridiculous to pay 250 a year for inspection if not more and you don't inspect the whole thing!!!

I was told there was an extra fee because my particular type of system required a camera scope. After booking the initial service, I get a call back from them stating that I also needed an updated as built drawing. They said that if I didn't do this, it could create potential hold-up or red flag for the county. I'm guessing for this scam what they do is look at the google maps aerial view of your property and compare it to the most recent as built on file. I was told they normally charge $350 for this service but since I was already paying them for other services, I would get $50 off. woohoo, so generous. I also didn't quite know what the drawing entailed and if any special county filing was included.I was skeptical but I let it fly. Two guys show up for the pumping. The buff tank top guy from the website and a smaller dude with tobacco in his cheeks. Apparently more of the system needed to be dug up for the inspection. My husband does all of the digging and they kinda tell him where the stuff is. He gets the d-box exposed and the smaller dude, (Nathan, I think his name was) says that our d-box needed to be replaced as it was deteriorating and he couldn't give us a passing inspection without it. He quotes us $1500 and says he will come back and do it tomorrow morning. I'm obviously shocked to my core as my original estimate for services has now more than doubled. There's no way I'm paying this without a second opinion. So I call a few local, reputable septic companies for a second opinion. One company referred us to the man that they contract out for d-box replacement. I call that guy and it was our lucky day, he was doing something else in our neighborhood and could stop by right after. He confirmed that the d-box needed to be replaced. He also informed us that is a $200 part and we should not allow them to perform the work at the quoted price. He could come back the next evening with parts to help us finish it. Obviously at this point, I am livid. It's already annoying to be paying $1500 for a service that took less than an hour to complete. But then to try and pull a fast one on us like that? Nope. I called the main line right away. I said hey your guy told me i needed a d-box and it was going to be $1500 but I have this other septic company telling me it's a $200 fix. WTF. The receptionist, Tyler, is like well it requires a lot of digging and tried to justify it and also explains he doesn't really know much. I was like okay well my husband did ALL of the digging so there is very minimal labor involved. He was like well you can try asking the field guys but I can't really do anything about the price. So I call Nathan multiple times. And he doesn't answer and his voicemail is not set up. How convenient. I was calling to cancel and tell him to not show up. He shows up later than he was meant to the next day. Unfortunately, I was not home and this guy was dealing with my husband. Bless his soul, my husband is a sweetheart and the nicest person on the planet. People love to take advantage of that. He bullied my husband into agreeing to allow him to do the work for $500 off of the $1500 d-box repair. He convinced my husband that the other guy wouldn't have been able to do the d-box repair for us if he was licensed. He was in fact licensed but my husband wasn't the one speaking with him or the other septic company so he didn't know. My husband didn't want any more complications or hold-ups with the sale of our property so he just let him do the repair. 45 minutes later he was gone. The cherry on top really was that he charged us all that money and didn't even backfill the stupid hole when he was finished. Ah yes, SOOOO MUCH labor involved. I waited a week and had to reach out to them because I hadn't received a report or anything yet. Again, I was LIVID when I saw the updated as built drawing. All they did was reuse the old drawing and scribble out the things that were no longer there. I'll attach a photo of my $300 artwork so you can see the quality of work they'll provide you. What a freaking joke this company is. I will continue to blast this dishonest company on every platform available. I have informed my real estate agent to stop recommending them to her clients. I will make sure anyone in the neighborhood seeking septic services knows who not to call. I honestly don't even know how they are running a successful operation. They are obviously benefitting from taking advantage of people who don't know better because let's be honest, septic systems and inspections are not general knowledge. Shame on you. This was a very expensive learning experience and I hope this review helps you avoid the same mistakes.

Justin looked at the issue, offered several quick fixes and made some suggestions we can do without needing expensive repairs. To be sure, when I do need any plumbing help in the future (because with a house it's always "when" not "if") you can bet Steady Flow will be my first - and probably only - call. Just as a side note - I had two other plumbers come out to review the same issue. One said it would cost $1000K+ to fix, the other recommended replacing our 6 year old water heater (which is working fine btw). Many small plumbing companies are being bought up by private equity firms, which push expensive and unnecessary repairs or products to pad their bottom line. Steady Flow is a company that is still on the side of their customers!

Evidently Dano's family run business has been bought and brought under an umbrella with a bunch of…read moreother small, local septic companies. During our first septic emergency in over 20 years of using Dano's, we felt we'd called a service company that has forgotten that getting their customers back on line in an emergency is their #1 job. It took an emergency and some quick review reading online to find a small, independent company to show us real customer service! Dano's explained on the call the costs we'd incur from the $250+ service fee, hourly repair cost, $600 pumping charge on a tank they pumped 2years ago necessary for diagnosis, and the possible need for them to call in the electrician with another service fee, etc before anyone fixed anything. Confident we had an electrical issue if not 3 different ones, we called a highly 5-star reviewed guy who listened to our issues, diagnosed the probable root of the problems, and told us to call Aquarius Pump directly, adding that they'd prob use a sump pump and if in fact the tank needs pumping they'd call him. Easy-peasy. The next morning Aquarius had us able to use the system, but not fully fixed, and a couple days later with the new pump, floats, and alarm box, the emergency was over. No evidence of repairs to the lawn, and we knew who to call in the future, and recommend to others... and it won't be Dano's! PS The name I highly recommend is easy to remember if you live in KITSAP county and are looking for a SEPTIC company, lol.

Then they said it was cracked and needed an inspection to see what they could do. The inspector said they could fix it so we scheduled. We were busy with our other house build so didn't get back to see the work for 2 weeks. When we got back, NOTHING had been done & no phone call or email. It took me 4 days to get ahold of someone to ask what happened. We decided to call another company and see if we could get some help. We contacted Dano's Septic and they sent out an inspector to assess the issue. He said that they could do the work and we scheduled it. They just completed our job and did AWESOME work. They even raked up around all the new risers. They were professional, courteous & did what they said they would WHEN they said they would. Extremely happy with their service and would definitely use them again.
