I have been to a good number of Indian restaurants and have this is the second one that made my me smile as I was eating. I went in a weekday evening. The restaurant was almost empty and I was beginning to doubt my choice of a place to dine in. I was directed to where to sit. Once I received the menu I was pleasantly surprise that the menu clearly identifies the vegan dishes. I placed my order and the food came out quickly. It was hot and delicious. The spices were just right. It was not under or over spiced. The portion was just right as well. When I am back in the area this is a for sure place to return.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. And believe me I was not disappointed. The food was excellent. The only thing I could say is seems that the waitress didn't know much about the different dishes and she kept having to go ask someone. But the overall experience was very good. Can't wait to return. Okay I just returned from this restaurant again. This time I have photos. It was just as good as before but the customer service is lacking. The young lady that takes your order at the front desk seems to speak broken English and does not like to explain any of the dishes. I've had her the last time and and I said that she didn't seem knowledgeable but I think she just doesn't understand or doesn't have the patience to answer too many questions. She gives you water with no ice and the food is can be spicy. she was annoyed that I asked for ice, which happened the last time. Is there an ice ration? When I asked for carry out containers she brought them and I asked if they have containers for the sauces she told me no and asked is this it rudely like don't ask me anything elses. I cannot believe they don't have containers for the sauces because people do order carry out from them which comes with different sauces. She seems lazy and very irritable if you ask too many questions. That is the only downfall but the food was excellent. I can see there was other patrons having the same problem with this young lady as they said it was their first time there and thought the young lady was new, but she isn't, and even if she was no excuse for her rudeness. It seems they need to get someone else in to handle the front of the restaurant that is more knowledgeable and friendly and willing to help.

We have been trying to get to an Indian Buffet for a LONG time. However, most Indian places are North of us, and we can never make it during the Lunch Hours. This place is new, and working out a few kinks. It looks like the dinner menu is pretty small for right now, and to be honest, the Lunch Buffet was much smaller than I expected. When you sit down, they bring you a pitcher of water. At first I just thought they were trying to avoid refilling waters, but after tasting the food, all of it was spicy, so you needed the water pitcher. There is not built-in buffet bar, but they set up tables at the end of the Dining Room, and put up Silver Chaffing Dishes to keep the food warm. There were maybe 10 pans on the buffet, two of them being rice. Most of the pans had only a little bit of the dish in there, so you had no option but to get a lot of sauce, or just a little meat/veggies. They did not seem to do a great job of refilling the pans. They were out of bread- which seemed pretty basic, for a while. The quality of most of the food was pretty good. I found two favorite dishes tho- the fried okra was really good, as well as the sweet noodle desert. I will try them again.

Dearborns number one Indian restaurant, the only one with a Buffet everyday. Don't be confused with the other FAKE FOODIE spots paying thousands each month to attract customers that add to the very high menu Prices. Been many times since Open 3 year's ago, place always filled with Indian Families eating traditional food from the homeland. I'm not versed in the traditional dishes. Had 5 types of Chicken dishes and delicate Flavorful Lamb. Many Sauces, Rice's and Dessert Mango like pudding Wowed. It's all you can eat for less than a single meal at those Fake Foodie places the crooked owners pay. Great location on Greenfield at Rotonda just off I 94. Note not associated with the other two places same name, these guys were first and have locations in 2 other states for decades. #charminarbiryanihousedearborn @dearborn_charminar_biryani #indianfood #indianbuffet #bestindearborn #buffet #downriverfriendseat #motorcitymunchers #halalfood

SOLO DINNERS DO NOT BOTHER! I went in and was placed at a dirty table. The used pitcher and water glasses were removed. I sat and waited for the table to be cleaned and I was completely ignored. I got up to complain and the help was totally unbothered and could care less I was leaving.

Grand evening yelpers have you ever been to a restaurant that had all the things that one needs like great food, extremely good service & then become a regular do to a certain waiter? This is totally my problem nothing brings me more of a great dining experience more than the service that compliments your great quality food in this case it's some of the best Indian food I've ever had and I've gone back after not seeing this service I expected to see all of a sudden I believe his name was Raghu if I'm not mistaken I don't think he should've left or gotten fired but bring him back please and continue to make the greatest Indian cuisine in the metro Dearborn area. But bring that great server back for me if anyone goes there ask for him if you so happen not to see him still dine in and take in the breath taking Indian ambiance that makes me feel like I'm in Hyderabad, India ... Enjoy and save me some

Ate here for the first time last night and the food was AMAZING! We tried several different dishes (including dessert) and loved it! The owner was incredibly hospitable and kind and we were super impressed with our experience!

Place was great in the beginning, but went downhill. Service & food quality went completely down. Would not recommend this place.

We were also looking for vegetarian options for a colleague that I was with. In a cool part of town, Himalayan Flames is right in the middle of a bustling area full of shops and restaurants. On this particular weeknight, the area was fairly busy. There's some parking on the street but there's also a huge parking lot behind the block that Himalayan Flames is on, so go on back there and find a spot. There are signs on the back of the building you guiding you to a back entrance which leads to a number of different businesses. You'll find the entrance to Himalayan Flames towards the front of the building. We were seated right away and began browsing the menu. Not a huge place, but cozy and nicely decorated. Cool vibe. I opted for the Lamb Korma and Garlic Naan bread. Outstanding on both fronts. The Lamb Korma was full of flavor and perfectly spiced for my taste. I forget the spice level options, but go with what you know. Whatever I asked for was perfect. Lamb was tender and tasty. Combine that with the edible scoop that you can make out of the Naan bread and you're set. Would I go back? Without question. I highly recommend giving Himalayan Flames a shot and check out their flavor filled menu with options for everyone. We were impressed and hopefully you will be also.
