Delicious pastries, great service, and it feels so warm and cozy inside. I recommend their strawberry short cake; it's a no-brainer

Darjeeling Kitchen & Café - Himalayan Curry: I don't typically like mushrooms but these were divine and the hint of carmelized onions on the Chinese broccoli was great!

Best Momos around!…read more If the title doesn't tell you everything, this review will. I found out about this place months ago and it was finally time to give it a try. My spouse and I are always down to find good momos, and this being close by and Tibetan cuisine, it was definitely a must. Ambience: It seats a decent crowd. It has nice Tibetan artwork and you feel the warmth from the owners. It's cozy and it felt great. Service: Top notch. I don't say this lightly. The server sat us down and was just so joyful. Her smile and demeanor made you feel welcomed. Brought us water and asked the usual and offered to explain any dishes. Now we are onto the good -- might I say great -- part. THE FOOD. We didn't order momos on our first visit. Food: My wife got the Himalayan Rice set (chicken) and I got the Rildok. We also got the Shabhaley -- from the description I thought it was literal meat. The Shabhaley, to put it, looks like an empanada. It was far from it in the best possible way. The pastry was crisp but soft and the beef filling was divine! Seasoned with so much flavor and it was paired with a beautiful sauce. The Rildok was exquisite. In my opinion -- I even told one of the servers, whom I now know is one of the owners, that the flavor profile reminded me of a cheeseburger, and it's my favorite new dish. The Himalayan Rice set was awesome. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The tingmo (like a bread) was soft and delicious, paired well with the chicken. The dal reminded me of my own homeland's dal. We've now been back here multiple times. My goal is to try the entire menu. The vegetable khoty momo was surprisingly my favorite, and I'm someone who loves meat. I've now had all the flavors and preparations of the momos, and you can't go wrong! This place is a gem. Their quality of food is top notch, and their actual aunties are in the back making this with so much love. I want everyone to try it. The owner and his staff are amazing and welcoming. They remembered me from my second visit, and that speaks volumes. They're all down to earth and it shows. The passion they have for their food and their kindness shines through. Parking: Can be rough depending on time of day.

The momos took a while but the curry was out quickly. Both were so flavorful! The sauce that came with the kothey momo cut perfectly through the mild chicken filling. The momo was soft but had a crisp bottom which melted in your mouth. The curry was creamy and had a hint of spiciness without setting your tongue on fire. All in all solid food!

My bacon egg and cheese had no seasoning or taste whatsoever, it felt like I was just eating texture. Their signature hot chocolate also just tasted watered down and from a machine Service - felt off.. the cashier was an objectively nice lady but there was no hello, thanks, please, or anything like that. There were a few times I had to repeat my order because the barista would choose to use the loud af coffee grinder (conveniently right next to the cashier and where you place an order) when I was ordering (and other customers as well) Ambiance - to each their own, but not my vibe. There's a very edgy dramatic vibe where they play epic music you'd hear in boss battles and I think that's what they're going for at Artpresso Wasn't what I was looking for at 9am.

It is really cute but not as cozy as I wish because the chairs were a little bit uncomfortable for a long stay. The food was okay, the raspberry croissant with Nutella would have been better warm! I also believe is NO KID Friendly which was kind of a bummer cause I went with my nieces and even tho they behave great, they have a glass table that is pretty hard to eat at!

I cannot say I was expecting the food to be this damn good out of a seemingly random Mexican place…read morethat just happened to be near where we were. I hadn't seen Tacos Gobernador on any Mexican restaurant menu before. These are sinaloan-style tacos, stuffed with the fresh shrimp abundant in the region. This is the second time I'm saying this in the first four sentences, but these were amazing. First of all - they were huge! Way larger than normal tacos, these tortillas stretch across the plate. The outsides are perfectly crisped up - these are kind of a mix between a soft & hard shell taco, but incorporating the best of both worlds. The amount of oil used in the grilling is perfect. What really makes these though, is the fillings. The shrimp is unbelievable - first of all, its the largest shrimp I've ever seen inside a taco. I mentioned how large these tacos are, but the shrimp bursts out of the top like a xenomorph out of a chest; there's little containment to be had here. These shrimp are seasoned astoundingly, turning practically a dark red from the spices used. Oh yeah, and the juiciness is just perfect. They are so well cooked. The other outstanding part is the cheese. The Oaxacan cheese is special - it's some of the best cheese I've ever had on a taco. Hot, soft, and stretchy with a perfect level of melting, it adds a crazy amount of flavor to each bite. The other toppings are solid, but some more onions would've helped I think. Also, the dipping sauce used is around average, and unnecessary. This was kind of expensive for 3 tacos - coming in at $25 before tax and tip. It was a ton of food though. Overall, a new variation of taco I think I'm absolutely in love with. 9.25/10

It can be a little confusing to find since it's a stand inside the market, not a separate store front. They carry a pretty wide variety of Asian flavor-inspired breads, pastries, cakes and cookies, including buns and some more dessert-type items. I checked out Progreso for an event this past weekend and ended up buying a few items to go: - matcha marble sponge cake $4.49: was fluffy, light and moist, good flavor of matcha and a light schmear of whipped cream in the middle. Would get this again! - taro cream puff $6.50: this was taro paste (? not sure if that's fully accurate though it felt more consistency of soft whipped taro than a traditional pastry cream) with whipped cream on top sandwiched by what I believe was choux pastry with craquelin. I think maybe because the this was sitting chilled/refrigerated for a while the top craquelin layer wasn't quite crispy anymore, though it looked nice. Personally it was a bit too much regular whipped cream, would've preferred more of a taro pastry cream. - mango pudding with fresh mango $6.50 mango flavor in the pudding was light though it was a nice tease of flavor. The texture was on the firmer side for puddings. The mangos were a bit oxidized though tasted ok, maybe glaze them or do something to maintain the color? Since this is a pretty new spot hope they could make a few improvements and blow it out of the park! I appreciated the owners' enthusiasm for sharing about their shop.

I'm definitely happy i visited Progreso cafe it is an amazing little cafe which was a little tricky to find because it's inside a market. The cafe was awesome, the food looked delicious the service was fast. The workers were extremely friendly, it was a great experience. I got the strawberry dragon it was absolutely fantastic and so so delicious. I have recently started getting into matcha and the drink had matcha with like strawberries in it. My first ever experience with a matcha strawberry combination. I'm definitely going to go to progreso cafe very soon again. I'm definitely going to try out more of the pastries. On top of pastries looking so good I'm also very curious about the meat buns. They have so many choices in progreso and I can't wait to try everything. All the drinks look so so good but Im definitely happy I got the strawberry dragon as my first but it won't be my last. If you like cafe pastries and meats buns please go and support progreso. For the people who will have a hard time finding it, it's located inside a market called koufuku market
