Finally got to try this Korean hotdog place, I like a good corn dog, this was next level. I went with the half cheese and half hotdog option--while I wish they offered the cheese and hotdog together in one bite, it was still really tasty. We got the Asteroid Belt with the Astro sauce, a great flavor kick. The place wasn't too busy on a Saturday night, so the wait was pretty short. There's no seating right in front, but we found some tables nearby around the other containers. Definitely worth a visit if you love creative twists on classic corn dogs!

In a cute little outside food area was this cool place!! Had always wanted to try Korean corn dogs and here they were! Service was great and food was too - recommend getting a full hotdog though it's a lot of cheese!

Located next to Seoul sushi in Cargo District. There were about two or so people ahead of me in orders and it took 15 to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. They called out my name from their window when the order was done. Whichever corndog style you order, you can choose to make it either whole cheese or half cheese or no cheese. They recommended doing half cheese, which is the most popular. It's essentially a hot dog topped with cheese, then the whole thing is covered with a cornmeal batter and deep-fried. Tried the asteroid corn dog that has thin cut french fries topping and the Saturn, which is on the sweeter side covered with Thai sweet chili sauce. I chose the half cheese, half dog for both. Both were good with a crunchy exterior. The cheese filling was stringy, melted. Would be even better if the hot dog was better quality as it was just a plain standard hotdog. Some of the Thai sweet chili sauce got on the Asteroid, which I didn't like, but it wasn't that much so not a big deal. One corndog was filling enough, but if you have a very big appetite, then you might need 2 corn dogs. Customer service was friendly.

Love the new additions to the cargo district!! My son said his Korean corn dog with takis were 10/10 and so much better than the hot Cheetos. There were no lines and took about 10 mins to get our corndog. I mean look at that cheese pull. Lots of outdoor seating as well!

Okay if you've never been here let me let you in on the scoop. Get one cheese and one hot dog and alternate bites because the 1/2 and 1/2 just wasn't enough for us!!! Wow I'll be craving one of these for awhile!

When I walked in, there was only one customer there and she was handling everything by herself. She was hostess and server. She handles it all with grace, confidence, and a smile. Kudos to Michaela and you're lucky to have her on your team!

My wife ordered the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chili Chicken, but unfortunately it was extremely salty, even by my standards, and I tend to enjoy saltier foods. We also ordered two cocktails that came out much sweeter than expected. It left us wondering whether some additional tasting and quality control in both the kitchen and bar could help improve consistency. That said, our server, John, was excellent throughout the evening. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience. When we mentioned the issue with my wife's meal, managers Jack and David both checked on us personally and worked hard to make things right. Their involvement and concern did not go unnoticed and reflected a commitment to customer service. We've visited Cafe Chinois over the years and have noticed changes since the passing of the previous owner and the family's transition into running the restaurant. The menu has evolved, and the overall atmosphere feels a little different than it once did. During our visit, there was some trash on the floor that remained for a while, suggesting that attention to detail may not be quite where it used to be. Even so, the excellent service from John, Jack, and David, along with the quality of my entrée, showed that the restaurant still has a strong foundation. With a little more consistency in the kitchen and bar, Cafe Chinois can continue to be one of Wilmington's favorite dining spots.

First one in and I walked from the hotel Lela only 1/2 mile away. At the recommendation of my super sweet server I tried the fire cracker shrimp which was a regular specialty on he table placard. I also noticed the cod miso which intrigued me so I order it. What brought in though was the Hamichi Kama which I ordered also. On top of this they brought out a black seaweed/gyoza sample. The. On top of that since it is my birthday week they brought me the green tea mocha. Wow to say I am stuff was an understatement. So since this was a progressive ordering situation which I created the food came out sort of mish mash. I started with black seaweed / gyoza sampler. It was awesome. I would have ordered more had I not already ordered . Then I moved on to the bang bang shrimp. 8 breaded shrimp with their version of bang bang sauce. Plump shrimp with a chili sauce. Not bad. The sauce was just a chili style sauce and so left some to be desired. Then the cod miso came out. Wow. Super hot and had actual chunks of cod and veggies in it. Very good. Then the Hamichi Kama which came out. Amazing. I had this before in Japan and in West Virginia. Amazing. Definitely a recommend. Then they brought out the green tea mochi with green tea ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Amazing meal definitely needed the walk back to try and walk some of it off. The restaurant is small and reservations are highly recommended. Definitely worth the trouble and I plan to return in the future to try some other items.

It was confusing at first, because this lady was standing still, facing the front of the window where you order. I thought she was in the middle of ordering food so I waited behind her. It took a few minutes to realize this lady was actually working with the food truck and taking the food orders. She also was not very friendly when I asked her a question about the food. Anyway, back to the positive notes, the food! The menu was limited to tacos, fries and drinks (soda, sparkling water). I tried the fries and fried catfish tacos (2 tacos), which came with a crema sauce, coleslaw, lightly seasoned tortilla chips. There was a bottle of salsa, assuming homemade. The salsa was delicious. The catfish tasted so fresh, was tender, and was lightly fried. The thinly cut fries were great, reminded me of McDonald's fries. The whole meal was satisfying, but I wished appetizers were available. This is one of the best food trucks in town! (food, not customer service)
