I called with the year, make and model of my car to see if they had time/stock for a slow leak tire. I knew it was time to replace at least two of the tires. They had capacity right away and I am nearby so I headed right over. They evaluated the tires and recommended 3 needed replacement, I had figured the same. They had a really great price on a set of 4 all weather tires with 55k mile warranty (seriously good price, like same amount I had to pay for just 2 tires and service at another place for a different car a few years ago). It used to be our favorite tire place to go for a great deal on both new and used tires for many of our family cars until the recent change of ownership. The new owner starts to overcharged $$ me for this and that... He charged me $25 for EACH tire mounting. He charged $25.00 for a simple tire rotation and air pressure check. The previous owner didn't charge me for those in the past. Upon my tire rotation, the new owner didn't mount one wheel squarely on the axle spindle and tightened only three of five lug nuts. This resulted in wobbling wheel and a lost a lug nut. I could have gotten into an accident. Luckily my home is nearby and I managed to wobble home. I re-checked, re-mounted and re-torqued all the lug nuts. I found not all lug nuts are unevenly tightened. Upon reading some Yelp reviews saying he will not honor the tire warranty from the previous owner. Ok you just lost a family of long-time customers. We will definitely stay away from that place and find ourselves an another reputable tire place. Beware! read more

This place is a scam! I came here few months ago to change two tires urgently, they were nice at first to sell me overpriced new tires. They promised and advised me to come back for tire rotation after 5k. I just went back to try to do what they recommended and get two new tires, the guy working there without the owner was super rude and aggressive. He didn't even let me explain to him why I am there. He kept accusing me of lying about how many tires I bought and when did I buy them when I literally had the receipt in my hand to show him. He then started to scream say it we do it every 10k and only when you buy 4 tires not 2 and that they charge $25 for it, which he never asked me for And I refused. I would have been willing to pay even though they said it's free after 5k, because i care more About care safety than 25 dollars. Not just they lost money and a customer, they literally don't care about Their business reputation or know anything about customer service. I was never treated this way as a customer and what's amazing that the shop Wasn't even busy at all, there was only 1 car that left after I waited to be shouted at in an aggressive way but the employee. My dad was with me and he was so worried too, not sure if this guy working there is having the worst day or what to treat us like enemies not Customers. Been coming to Eddie at Astro Tires for years. Prices of new tires are outrageous, espically for a contractors work vehicle which will probably find a screw or nail along the way. For a fraction of the cost of new tires you can get some good quality used tires with a lot of life left on them. Getting 4 Goodyear's right now for under $250. Last set of Michelin's lasted a year. There's a repair shop next door and I mistakenly went there first and nicest man checked my tires first, found the nail and told me Astro Tires would take care of me. I would be weary of going to this place for any kind of tire service or purchase under the NEW OWNERS (since late 2017). Here's why... I bought a new set of tires from Astro Tires in June 2017. The new tires came with a 50,000 mile warranty and an offer for free tire rotation every 5,000 miles. These are notated on my receipt of purchase from Astro Tires. I returned to this location in July, 2018 as I had done 5,000 miles and was seeking a free tire rotation before a planned road trip. It was Sunday and the owner wasn't in. The head mechanic told me that the place was under new ownership and they would not be honoring any previous sale agreements even though the new owners retained the same business, business name, business logo and even the same business cards. He also acted a little rude in the way he didn't want to hear me out. I enquired about the warranty and was also told that that wouldn't be honored either. I paid $20 for the tire rotation as I wanted to get it done urgently before my trip. I returned later in the month and spoke directly to the owner. His excuses as to why he won't be honoring previous warranties from the previous owner were not legitimate answers. He did say that if there was a problem with my tires, that the warranty issue would be taken up with the manufacturer. When I asked if I could get a refund on the $20 tire rotation as per my Astro Tires receipt from a year ago, I was denied. This place seems to be scamming previous Astro TIres customers. That's not a good way to conduct business and I will NOT be returning to this place for anything unless I need a warranty replacement from the tires I previously bought here. I will get my tires rotated with my annual auto service elsewhere. read more

Worst experienced I've had!!! Sam who is the owner knows nothing about customer service and respect. I've already been having a rocky week due to a leak in my home and I came to them Tuesday morning since I got two flat tires on my way to work. They were the closest to me and when I came in the gentleman who replaced my tire was nice and sweet. We didn't speak much and he just did the job as needed. But as I got home later that night my boyfriend took a lol at the tires and said ONLY ONE of them were really worn out and the threads were bad. We called the placed the following day and they just said bring it in ... I came in and it was my first time meeting SAM( the owner ) you can already tell he was bothered by the way he approached me to my car and said " we'll what's the issue" I explained what my bf said and he said " listen honey these are great tires and I don't know what to tell you " I then said well I'm not happy with one of them with the way the thread looks and I don't feel it's right I paid for something that I'm not happy with. He then told me " well I would replace it but I don't have anymore of the sizes so there's nothing I can do?" I then said we'll can I atleast get compensated back for one tire so I can go get it replaced and bring u back this tire" he looked up at me and said " if you want a new tire you can go somewhere else" then proceeded to walk away from me and the other gentleman working there just started helping other customers. I can't believe I was treated this way and he could care less. Please don't go to a place like this where all they want to do is sale their tires and once your off that lot you are nothing to them. You can also tell the owner is stubborn with his money . Please do better!!!!! Came in here to get a flat fixed 5 minutes before close. Worker said it would be 25 bucks. Chain stores will do it for free but you have to wait an hour. I'd rather give 20 to these guys, they were done in 10 minutes. I gave the guy two 20 bills when I went to pay and he just handed me back the 20 since he didn't have change. I had a slow leak and my tire pressure sensor was going off, the attendant couldn't find the source at first, but he took the time and realized it was the valve stem. This place is a scam. They sold me 4 used tires, and put them on without even balancing them. On top of that, it turns out that those tires were 16 years old and were defective. I had nothing but problems with them, and went back to them 3 times and still had problems. They finally gave me my money back, but I am convinced that they knew the quality of the tires before they sold them to me. I will NEVER do business here again. --- I just found out that it is illegal to sell tires that are over 6 years old. Umn... cheap tires... nothing makes me sweat more than seeing a flat tire. Espeically when you are already on a flat tire. To make things worse my tires were low profile tires which made things very expensive. I am talking over 100 bucks a tire brand new. Last bad experience I had with Pep Boys they charged 120 for some tires as well as handling fees, air filling fees and everything else fees to come up to 180bucks for the whole ordeal. This place when I called told me they had not only one used tire but many used tires that fit my needs. He tells me 50 bucks used. I go. They are alittle hard to park because it is behind another auto repair place but the big signs and the picture on Yelp really helped. The guys are friendly. I didn't even have to do any work to take my old tire out. They propped up car. Tires out. Tires in. Balanced. One of those places you could see everything they are doing and you don't have to be behind a rope wondering whats happening. Boom two tires done. I got to see what happeneed to my old tire. Owners is a theif! When I bought my tires he told me any nail he would fix at no charge. So I bought all new 4 tires, months later I get a nail! I show up he said sorry im busy come another day! Ok, I was back two days later.. He said sorry im busy, come back tomorrow or wait 3 hours!! So I got up set and left! Whent to another shop they fixed it about 10 minutes charged me $10 and now thats were I go all the time.. That guys a jerk!!! I will smile the day I see that shop close! Stay away! I got four used tires for $120 (out the door), and they look like new. I was very please, and appreciated that they also accept Debit/Credit (as some used tire places only take cash). My car was still running like shit after a tune up so i started to look at my tires and notice they were bald eagles. Found Astro Tires on yelp and they replaced the 2 front tires for me, Pirellis run flat ya dig!!! Anyways they are honest, professional and very polite. They have awesome prices. It took them 30 minutes to install tires. Oh and another thing is they balance the tires before they put them on, be careful because i know a lot of other used tire shops around the valley do not balance the tires. VERY CAREFULLY. They will blame you for anything they screw up if you don't notice it immediately on receipt. Pay especial attention to broken stems, gouged and scratched rims. Had decent experience with them over past few years, even though the price kept going up every time. That was acceptable only until they screwed up one my tires and blamed me for it 15 minutes later after I came back. Owner made up contradicting to himself excuses and lied twice to my face, after which had the guts to attempt to shake my hand. I will be looking for a new tire shop. The second star is for speedy service and for good job in the past. I can credit them that much.
