I popped in here Sunday night for dinner after feeling a little under the weather and needing some soup to help get me by. And who doesn't believe a cocktail will help burn the germs out of you? I know I do! The place was relatively quiet (it was like 8pm on a Sunday) so I was able to get seated immediately and my server was active and friendly all evening. After looking at the menu proudly showcasing all the Japanese spirits, I found the cocktail menu disappointingly Caribbean/tiki heavy (which I don't ordinarily mind being a rum drinker, but some drinks to match the cuisine or at least use those Japanese whiskeys and things more would have been amazing!). I opted for a New Fashioned cocktail to try and sample some of said spirit. While not bad, I found it pretty orange-y (who puts all those orange chunks into such a beverage?) and the spirit to be pretty mild in flavor (I'd like to think my taste buds weren't affected by my sickness). For dinner, I went for the miso ramen with pork chashu. Having not had proper ramen too many times in my life (those $.99 packets from the grocery store do NOT count), I've got relatively little to compare my experience to here. However, I will resoundingly say I was very happy with the food. The pork could be picked up and apart with chop sticks easily enough and was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The noodles and the flavors were just all sooooo good. I'm not a big mushroom fan at all, but I was happy to find they were cut razor thin and actually highly enjoyable. All in all, the drink menu needs an overhaul. Why have all those great Japanese spirits and then do a 180 with the cocktail menu? Makes no sense! Almost makes me want to bump down to 4 stars... but man, the food is just too good. read more

There's plenty of parking in the lot and a decent amount of seating inside. The decorations are cool, it's lively, and it's a welcoming space. We got a couple appetizers to try and a couple ramen dishes to try. The Karaage was okay, the breading wasn't special and the flavor of the nuggets and sauce were a bit underwhelming. The gyoza was disappointing and lacked flavor. The TanTan Mazemen was good but it could have used some extra toppings to help the dish, such as corn, mushrooms, or something to balance the savory flavor. The sauce was pretty good but the ratio to ramen noodles was way too much sauce. We asked for an extra bowl of plain noodles but got a bowl of noodles and sauce. The Spicy Miso was pretty good and flavorful, it had decent toppings and spice. It was a solid basic miso broth and pretty good. Overall, the food was good but there was something missing from each dish and it was a bit pricey for the individual dishes. Staff was nice but seemed somewhat rushed when we were trying to order and throughout our meal. Overall, they were very attentive and would clean off our table every time they stopped by. We felt like we had to finish our dish because they wanted to grab the empty dish. Overall, it was a decent experience. I was really disappointed with my experience here yesterday. I ordered the General Tso's chicken dinner and found a long piece of hair mixed into the food, which completely ruined the meal for me. Unfortunately, even before that, the chicken itself was not good -- the chunks were tough, overcooked, and lacked flavor. I understand mistakes can happen, but food quality and cleanliness are extremely important in a restaurant. Sadly, this visit did not meet expectations, and I don't see myself returning. read more

Some of my favorites were the crispy and generously filled crab Rangoon with sweet chili sauce, the chicken with scallion & yakitori sauce and beef with wasabi skewers, and the Gyu Don! They charged extra to substitute for mediocre tofu which was a bummer but whatever. I'd say order an extra egg or 2 instead of tofu. The restaurant is cute on the inside. They have to-go bowls which was helpful because the portions are big! The spicy-ness level is great. Not too spicy but a good kick. Very good ramen. Popped in for resturaunt week. Everything we ordered was delicious and came out fast. The appetizers were the tables favorites. The steak in the hibachi was cooked perfectly and the ramen was full of flavor. The resturaunt is small and only two people were working- 1 cook and 1 server, so it was tough to get drink refills. But the individual working the dining room was wonderful and friendly and doing her best as it started to get busier in the afternoon. Will definitely be back! I was a lucky recipient of their huge gift card giveaways this past year, and my fiance and I went for a little date night! We aren't too good with chopsticks but I was managing pretty well, and our waitress just silently slid my fiance a fork, it was hilarious. Then later she brought new chopsticks and one of the plastic holders that she gave the kids next to us. Overall, the ramen was absolutely delicious and the broth was super flavorful. I got a brown sugar boba milk and my fiance got some hot tea and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! I still have a bit left on my gift card so we will try something new next time. I got to have a taste of the Tako Wasabi, which is the raw marinated octopus with wasabi. I ordered online then came for pickup. Not busy at all for lunch. This place is pretty new so I'm not sure if a lot of people know about it yet. I went with the Tonkotsu ramen and the monster fries (mayo, minced pork, cheese, green onions). The fries themselves were just okay. Maybe it would've been crunchy if i had dined in. But the star of the show was the minced pork! So flavorful and well seasoned! It made the monster fries extra tasty. the fries were a generous amount though. Took me a couple days to eat it. Asuka Ramen is the newest ramen restaurant in Columbus. Our first impression was seeing an energetic young man standing outside in front of their holiday menu (which starts at four o'clock). It looked inviting, with an offer of 40% off three of the ramen bowls. Rats! We came at two o'clock. That just means we will need to come again, right? The staff was welcoming, and the interior was inviting, with plenty of decor to look at. Their menu offers ramen (of course), mazemen (brothless ramen), hibachi, and rice. Their on-site broth options are delicious creamy pork, clear chicken, and vegetable with miso paste. We chose the Crab Rangoon for an appetizer. My husband chose the Spicy Miso Ramen, made with marinated egg, pork chasu, corn, bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, and green onions. I chose the Asika Fried Rice with chicken as my protein. The Crab Rangoon was served in the most adorable dishes. I love Asian dishes! There were only five pieces, and I wish I could have had more. My husband's Ramen was spicy, too spicy for me, but just right for him. My fried rice was plentiful, and I had plenty for another meal. As for extra condiments, there was a spicy sesame oil and another spice bottle on the table. I tried Asuka Ramen in November 2023 with my husband for the first time. I definitely recommend the lunch time as the menu prices are more affordable than the dinner menu prices. My husband and I both ordered the steak and chicken hibachi to go. Both meals were great and super filing for lunch time. For $12-$15 you get the full hibachi rice, meat, veggies plus a side salad. I am happy my husband convinced me to try a fairly new restaurant in town. Prices are great for lunch as I mentioned before and we haven't been for dinner but assume it's a just higher price. Forgot to take pictures, but we got the Gyoza, Sesame Chicken, and Tonkatsu Red Ramen. The Sesame Chicken was AMAZING. Best I've ever tried, very crispy and the sauce was thick and rich. The Tonkatsu Red Ramen was very full bodied and yummy. Only mildly spicy too so do not be afraid of ordering it. Gyoza was fresh and tasty. In the past I've gotten their Chicken Katsu Curry Rice and their Chicken Karaage Rice Bowl and both were also very good. The curry was also mild on spice, but full of flavor and extremely filling. My friend and I visited Asuka Ramen before going to the Wildlights at the zoo. The restaurant is in a large shopping plaza with ample parking. The restaurant was not busy when we visited. We were greeted upon entry and seated at one of the tables. We started our order with a Gyoza appetizer. The dumpling coating and filling were delicious. For my main order I went with the Chicken Karaage Ramen. The fried chicken was brought out on a separate plate. The chicken was crispy and packed with flavor. The food here is pretty consistent and really good. I have been going here for nearly a year and it's almost always been the same, a $15 chicken katsu Japanese curry. Its 10/10 id recommend. The staff is also friendly and the place is clean never had complaints here. read more

We had the veggie spring rolls, edamame, vegan ramen, and the spicy miso ramen with chicken. We also tried the ube cheesecake & the yuzu cheesecake. I also had the taro milk tea with boba. I would say all the food was pretty good, nothing stood out as a superstar good or particularly bad so that's nice. I will say that I didn't love the Ube, it was kind of bland but the color was great. They did a great job with service and they had a group come in a few minutes after us with what had to be 30 people they seemed to be able to keep up with the demand. The restaurant was relatively small, but it was nicely decorated and easy to find. I would say that if you live in Dublin it'd be a nice spot to frequent. read more

The restaurant is in the strip mall and has plenty of parking. The place is very clean. The server was very friendly and the service was fast (I went around 1:30pm on a Sunday and there were 2 other groups in the restaurant.) Karaage had some nice crunch and the meat was juicy. Ramen broth was good, noodles had a nice bite to them, the marinated egg was nice and salty, pork was super soft and had a good amount of fat. While this was still not the ramen I love, I'd go back and try other ramen next time! They have different types of ramen, rice bowls and a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, too. When I saw there was a new ramen shop in town, I knew I had to give this place a try. Okay WOW. This place blew my mind. The consistency of the noodles were the perfectly Al dente and the broth was extremely well balanced. I think the main star of this bowl was the chashu. It was silky, juicy and melted in my mouth. By far this chashu was the best chashu I've had in Columbus. The chicken was also fantastic too and the sauce was really good. Finally got to check out the newest ramen joint in Columbus and I gotta say their vibes are on point! From their custom made utensils to their very open decor, they have great ambiance. A great place to bring friends! We came here for restaurant week and were not disappointed with the selections for only $20. This cozy spot is traditional looking inside with the modern twist of lots of greenery on the walls. We got the INCREDIBLE Shoyu ramen (subbed with tofu), edamame and an awesome matcha tiramisu. Stopped by on their grand opening day and overall very happy to have another ramen shop in the Dublin area. Located right next to 101 beer kitchen and Kroger. Plenty of parking. Service is attentive and fast. They were busy during our visit but our food was ready within 15mins of ordering. I really like the mazeman but sad to see they overcooked my egg slightly. Their ramen is as expected and on par with other places like Tensuke. My husband does wish they use wavy noodles instead of straight noodles in the spicy tonkotsu since that's what he preferred. We went with experienced Asuka eaters. It was superb. I had the spicy red Raman. It was not unpleasantly hot. The broth is so rich! Our experienced eaters ordered one of everything else (almost). And we tried them. Best crab Rangoon ever! Really fine gyoza. Excellent spring rolls. It's hard to decide whether one should order an assortment of appetizers or ramen. I'm always down to try new noodles, so when Ashoka opened only a mile from my apartment I had to give them a try. I had the tonkotsu red, and split an order of takoyaki with my partner. The ramen had a nice low warming heat, though I would maybe like a little more spice, maybe next time I'll ask for extra chili oil to kick it up. The noodles had a nice texture and bite, and the toppings overall had good flavor. My partner mentioned he would prefer perhaps a fattier broth, but it was fine for me. Beer and sake prices were very reasonable, with Tsingtao/Kirin/Asahi running less than $5 a bottle. While not beating out my top place for ramen, this place will definitely stay in the rotation due to proximity. read more

We have been wanting to come here for the past 2 weeks but life happens. Finally tonight we got to go and it did not disappoint. It was great!! We got the Takoyaki for an appetizer. Crispy outside and creamy inside and VERY hot when served. Be prepared to suck in a lot of air to cool it off. We couldn't help ourselves. Very tasty with the takoyaki sauce and mayo on top. My sister got the Wonton Ramen. She loved it. Lots of wonton full of shrimp and the broth was very clear, not salty or greasy and shaved pieces of soft garlic. I got the Tonkotsu Black Ramen and I chose the chashu pork 3 pieces ( other choice was chicken breast ). Broth was great. Very tasty. The pork melted in my mouth. As a side I also got the shrimp tempura. 2 pieces for $4. It was good too. I also highly recommend the Yuzu cheesecake. It's not on the menu but they had a little menu for desserts ( only 2 ) on the table. Will be back again. They do offer take out. Service was good, very quick and served hot.
