    This is the 15th and it's been out all day.

    I'm so tired of weekly day long outages. Everything in my place use internet so when down, no tv. They want to credit $2 each time. I end up going out and spending much more than that

(Screw the iPhone :) ) I don't think this offer is still available but I got a home modem and usb antenna for $50. It uses WiMax technology which is all wireless so for your home modem, you just power up your modem, cross your fingers and hope it finds a signal. What I thought was stupid is they didn't build a WiMax modem with a wifi router built in so I'm back to having a modem & wireless router again. The speeds are quite good from personal experience rather that actual data, I'd say its up there with dsl, cable but not up with fiber. I usually get 3 out of 5 green lights. The usb antenna can be used anywhere Clear is deployed. I've been good pretty much everywhere I've tried it but I'm weary when I travel to smaller towns. We'll see. To compare - I think my old home at&t dsl was about $60 and I had a EVDO mobile card from Sprint for $80. So Clear is definitely cost effective and I bet coverage & speeds will get better. Their idea of fixing the problem was telling me to move the modem about an inch or put it closer to a window. I recently moved a few miles away from my previous location and found that the modem didn't work at all. I called in and they told me they didn't have service in my area so I asked to cancel the account. The rep told me he would email labels for returning the modems and that was the end of it. Now a month later, I'm getting calls several times a day letting me know that I owe an $80 re-stocking fee for cancelling my service. It doesn't seem to matter that I would not have cancelled if their service had worked at my new location. So I guess it's off to collections I go. I'm willing to take a stand and refuse to pay.

I spoke with T-Mobile 3 days ago, on July 1st, and an offshore representative offered a solution by giving me a credit to my account stating that if I could also pay $27.05 that would take care of an upcoming payment arrangement installment of $54.10. He assured me the solution would cause the upcoming installment, for July 4th, to "drop off." I confirmed multiple times it would be all I would need to do and that no more money would be owed until the following week, when I will have income to be able to pay it. I thought it was resolved. I trusted him. I believed him. Fast forward to today, July 4th, and T-Mobile is trying to process another payment of $54.10. I have 53 cents in my checking account until next week. I called T-Mobile and spoke to yet another offshore representative who just continued to say she understood, and she heard me, and all we needed to do to take care of things was provide a payment of $54.10 today. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she came back on the line and said if that had been an option she would have offered it to me initially but it is not an option. I just need to pay the $54.10. This is so ridiculous, so cringe, and so street thug! WHAT COMPANY conducts business by baiting a long-term customer with the promise of a resolution by getting them to make a small payment only to extort them 3 days later for even more money? Why lie? Does T-Mobile need that $27.05 so badly that they are willing to teach their offshore reps to lie just to get that tiny amount? Seriously? I don't know any other company that does this crap. I am done with T-Mobile. I just borrowed $54.10 from a friend of mine and I paid the overdue installment because I am unemployed and cannot afford to be without my phone for an entire week. I still owe T-Mobile $83 or so. They will never see that money. Next Friday when I have some money I will be switching carriers. T-Mobile can choke on their thug tactics, their extortion, their lies, and the balance that I owe them. WORST COMPANY EVER.

    Responses by this company are borderline ridiculous. If you try to call, there is always a wait…read moretime of well over two hours. If you try to use the "chat" option, you receive vague information and are told that questions cannot be answered. When you request a supervisor, you are told you have to call to speak with someone. When you question anything during the chat, you are told that the "person" on the other end of the chat is unable to help you and will terminate the chat. If you leave a yelp review, you receive a nice note from "Jackie" with a request to send a PM with your specific concerns. Too bad Jackie doesn't exist and there is no information on how to PM anyone for actual assistance. $500+ a month for services is beyond ridiculous and you only get bots to "assist" in answering questions regarding the $500 bill and why $280 of it is all fees. Edited to add: received my notice from "Jackie" and I can send a note via Facebook or X since there is no PM option. I have neither, by the way. Also, thanks "Jackie" for reminding me that Astound suspends additional comments - forgot about that part.
