Hi Yelpers. Well we've arrived in 2025 in blazing speed. Why? The last couple of months AT &T has been digging up my development to run their Fiberoptic network. I had AT&T decades ago, but left because Charter Spectrum came aling offering high speed. Well they go out no less than twice a week, every week. Do they cut the rate to compensate my having to hotspot from my phone? Nope. Peace out Spectrum, hello AT&T. Set appt yesterday, tech showed up promptly at the 8am- 10am window. No dillying or dallying. I used to pay $83 a month, up to 400mbpsds, 11mbps ds. but shut downs weekly, every week. Paying full price for part time service issa no. Now I'm paying $65 for 500mbps up and downstream. I've seen peak of over 765mbps on my phone, 351 on one of my older laptops, but that is due to the limitations of the device, nit network. Not What I Was Promised Pricing for my previous internet & office phone provider kept going up so it was time to look around. AT&T had online ads stating that a comparable plan to our current service would be $65 (if we did paperless billing & autopay with debit card), and $24.99 for our phone line (voip). During installation a Sr Associate arrived as the installation was being done. We went over the pricing, and he confirmed everything. He said that if we changed our autopay to a direct bank payment, the internet cost would get another $5 discount, bringing our monthly internet bill to $60. The next day I called to have my phone number ported over to AT&T. It took six calls (two were actually transferred to out of service numbers) and five hours (the last call lasted 2 hours 23 minutes) to arrange to have my number ported over to AT&T. The rep finally confirmed that the number would be ported, but it would be ten days before this would be done. I use this number for my small home business, so we are out of luck for a week and a half. Yesterday (only five days after installation)I received my first bill (for only 19 days of service). It showed $70 for internet (instead of the promised $65) and $38.63 for the phone (instead of the promised $25). Granted, the phone bill includes $13.64 in taxes and fees - $10.71 of which is an AT&T surcharge - but the taxes and fees from my previous provider was only $.47 (47 cents). So, after spending 90 minutes on installation on Saturday, and five hours on phone calls on Sunday, none of my billing matches what was promised, and my monthly bill will be 21% higher than I was led to believe it would be. That's a lot of aggravation to save a couple of dollars each month. read more

I tried to get internet through AT&T beginning of June it is now august. & still no internet they sent out multiple techs to get it connected they couldn't. they told me the box was to far from our house they would have to have someone to come out dig a trench for a line to run up to our house to get connection. Iv called & called & they have put me off & put me off, this last time I chatted with a girl named "shelby" she processed to tell me I have to pay because they cancelled service, which Iv never even got internet in the first place. What a terrible company. I've been trying to upgrade my phone for 2 weeks. I have been to 3 stores and still don't have a new phone. I have had a terrible experience dealing with anyone at AT&T. After writing a negative review on BBB, I received multiple calls and emails from a person from the Office of the President, which is just some BS gimmick to get you to call them back. I called back and one person offered to upgrade phones for free then said she couldn't cause we were not in her department. She said she would have someone else call. That person called back and pretty much said they couldn't do anything and to resolve my issue I should just go to another store. What a waste of time. I will not spend another minute of my time dealing with anyone from AT&T. What a worthless company and terrible customer service. read more

Sandra Carr, from the "Office of the President" is a professional con artist. She raised my wireless price from $50 per month to $78 per month even though my contract shows a $20 a monthly credit because I filed a complaint against her and AT&T with the Better Business Bureau for scamming with intentional infliction of emotional distress and because I am a senior citizen over 70 years of age and is discriminating against me because of my age and my complaints. If I could give a zero star I would. Worst customer service. Been out of service for 54 +hours. Customer service just says there's an outage in my area. They can't tell me what's taking so long to restore the outage or when it will be fixed. This is the problem when there no competition. Crappy service, cause they know you have no other option to get a different internet service provider. Escalated my issue to call center Supervisor Karen and Manager Jeremy neither could explain why my services are not repaired and when they would be. Jeremy actually hung up on me when I requested him to call technical manager for update on the outage restoration. #AT&T sucks. #AT&T poor customer service. read more

We had a land line for over 40 years and added wired internet later. This service is crap. They never maintained the lines, always promised to have fiber and never did so. Forget AT&T and get T mobil internet and T mobil cell service. It takes two hours just to cancel and they keep on billing three months after cancelation. read more

It LITERALLY doesn't get any worst than AT&T. It has got to be the worst company on the planet. I am so happy that I'm moving and don't need to use them as my internet provider any longer. It's crazy, the bills constantly change!!! Like, you never know what you're going to pay. If you enjoy a good mystery, AT&T is the company for you. The quality of the service is an absolute disaster. The wifi sucks you can never get a constant connection, wifi will literally disconnect off of phones or the computer while I'm working. It's ridiculous how overpriced the service is when you can't even get to use it. read more

We had AT&T fiber service installed on 5/01/20 and it's been nothing short of a disaster. AT&T runs a temporary cable to your home and has a contractor come out to fig a small trench to bury the cable and a technician then comes out and replaces the temp cable with a permanent one. This simple task wasn't completed correctly. The contractor only buried the cable on our property and not the line in our neighbor's yard. After dozens of calls someone came out to correct the problem after 3 weeks. Please note that the service isn't reliable during this entire process. The contractor buried the cable, but with one problem... The decided to run the cable through our privacy fence rather than bury it under it (see pics). Regardless, the service still constantly drops so a service call is made for 5/29/20. This technician simply says the service either works or it doesn't and since he saw a strong connection there was no issue. He replaces the router and leaves. We lose service completely by 5/31/20. My wife has to threatened to cancel the service if a tech doesn't come out same day (6/1/20. Tech arrives and finds an issue with a component and service is finally running reliably, but ask him about the exposed cable and he says his manager might be able to expedite the process...24 hours later and no word. We contact the tech and he says his manager was unable to get us any help. So we call in for help with the exposed cable (5/2/20. No one contacts us or arrives in the following days so we call to check on the status and they now tell us the contractor has 48 hours... Until 5pm today (5/5/20) to complete. This isn't likely to happen and not one support associate cares or will do anything. It looks like we'll be canceling on Monday. Stay away from AT&T. Completey awful service read more

It is a damn shame the state of ISP's these days. AT&T is overcharging me, I cannot get a service representative on the phone. I had AT&T in Arlington, I sent them an email, a snail mail and numerous phone calls to shut off service at my old residence. They left the service up and kept charging me. DO NOT under any circumstances do business with AT&T, Their signal drops out, intermittent coverage, the installation was horrible, there is not one redeeming quality of this company, they are built to overcharge and provide the worst service possible. read more

Poor service when internet goes down and lousy communications. First, we have had multiple calls wherein the service person was scheulded and didn't show up-- no call, no nothing. Next, we learned the hard way that if the problem is more than a simple in-home issue with the box, the first guy has to put in an order for an outside guy to come (takes several MORE days for the next appointment) and, in the end, you can be down for as much as a week (in our case). This has happened twice in three weeks, so we're done with AT&T. Buyer beware... read more

AT&T Internet has the worst installation system ever. They give you a 4 hour window. They no-showed for the first appointment after sitting home and waiting for them for hours. Then they no-showed a second appointment day, after I had to sit home waiting for them for hours. I am now waiting a third day to get my internet box upgraded. read more

If you can, use any other internet provider. I have "Internet 75"...which according to AT&T, means that I should be receiving download speeds of about 67.5 mbps and upload speeds of about 6 mbps. In short, I don't get close to that. In fact, measured by at&t's own speedtest softward, I get about a third of that (20 mbps download, 2 mbps upload). Measured by a "third-party speedtest app," which is used by professional audio visual installers, AT&T delivers far less...1.07 Mbps download, 1.34 Mbps upload. Despite delivering a fraction of the service represented, AT&T continues to charge me full price each month. Just do yourself a favor and try any other option. Even if it is not good, at least you'll know that you didn't have a viable alternative anyway. read more

I wish I looked at the reviews before signing up for service. I purchased service over 2 weeks ago and it still has not been successfully installed. I scheduled a morning appointment and the technician shows up at 2pm saying it showed I had an all day appointment. He then said he could not complete the installation and left. I reached out to him again just to be ignored. I apparently then had another appointment scheduled 2 days later (that I was not aware of because no one told me) and then received a call saying that it was moved to the following monday. that is 2 and a half weeks without internet. I dont know how these morons can be so disorganized. I wont be choosing AT&T for any services moving forward. read more

Horrible customer service. AT&T changed my self installation to a service technician without my consent. They failed to ship my device after I received email confirmation and sent out a tech anyway. My first bill had an additional $99 technician charge and they refuse to credit the charge back after multiple promises to refund the money. I will never use AT&T again. read more

Where do I begin? We had 2 options for internet service where we live, and we originally went with AT&T. They scheduled our appointment time frame for 9am-11am, which was great. That's only a 2 hour window. Did they show up? No. My husband called at 11am to ask where they were or if they needed to reschedule because we're decent people and understand things happen, right? Well, they had already rescheduled the appointment time frame to be 8am-6pm without letting us know, so my husband waited all day at our empty new house for the technician to arrive. Did they arrive? No. He called them the next morning to ask what was going on, and respectfully gave them a poor review over the phone that we were upset. Customer service nonchalantly apologized and rescheduled our appointment for a couple days later with a time frame of 9am-11am. We were busy that day, so we had my father-in-law go to our empty new house at 9am to be there when they arrived. Did they show up? You guessed it, they did NOT. We called again at 11am, they told us our time frame was changed to 8am-6pm again without warning or notification. We said sorry, that was the last straw (we're both busy with moving and needed to work from home during that time which we were unable to do), we're sending the modem back, and requested our deposit back from them. The one star on this review goes to their billing department, who understood our concerns and refunded our deposit. The billing department representative deserves 5 stars, but AT&T in general, deserves ZERO. We then called OneSource Communications, who promptly scheduled our appointment, showed up on time (at 8:30am during their time frame of 8am-12pm), and demonstrated great customer service from the get go. read more

ask a manager to have outage banner remived from your account so a tech can come out! our outage was actually a falty fiber optic line not an outage! called daily for a week and was told it's an outage who knows how long i would have waited if a tech never came out. shouldn't take a week to get a tech to check lines. att is horrible!! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I am so disappointed in my experience with AT&T. As the world goes through this crisis and we are all stretched thin some not even able to work and others at risk money is stretched thin. People are having a hard time paying rent and feeding there kids. Moving during this crisis is very difficult not to mention paying for internet and tv services. I choose AT&T as my provider in hopes that things would go smoothly. I purchased service on July 26th and $100 was taken out of my bank I even got a conformation number and email. Today is August 3rd and I do not have service and I am being told I will not have service for some time because the last tenants did not disconnect there service. AT&T has no process set in place for this, something I'm sure happens often. I was asked to contact the previous tenant myself, which is just extremely unprofessional. I was also not given any explanation of how this issue can be resolved or how much longer I will have to wait to get my services that I already paid for through them set up in my home. I was given a window of 8 am to 8 pm for someone to show up and install my internet. They never came. When I called to see if I should still wait, and inform them I don't have another 12 hour day to give them for someone to MAYBE show up I got an incredibly rude customer service agent who talked over me, refused to listen, and told me I could keep waiting tonight. I asked how long I should wait, and he said nobody comes after 8 (it was almost 9 pm). So incredibly unprofessional. When I told him I wanted to cancel my order and choose another provider I was told that office was closed. I don't know how this company keeps customers with service like that. read more
