I am writing this review to praise the service I received from Salvator, the Atascadero AT&T store manager. I was having trouble pairing my new Apple Watch with my phone and Salvator spent 1.5 hrs with me while also on the phone with tech support to solve my problem. Salvator was extremely professional, knowledgable, calm, and committed to helping me. It bears noting that while assisting me with what was a complex problem, he was training a new employee and was the epitome of someone exhibiting multi-tasking skills. I would highly recommend the Atascadero AT&T store for your AT&T needs whether it be to make a new purchase or seek a solution to an existing problem. read more

I have been an ATT customer for 25+ years. I am the sole owner of my account. I have six phones/users, and everyone is an authorized user. I was told by one of the representatives at this store that my authorized users could not make changes to my account unless they had my passcode. One of my authorized users wanted to move her account to another company. However, she still owed me over $500 for a phone she purchased. She was assisted by a different representative in going around my passcode and was able to move her phone...leaving me with her unpaid phone bill. I was told by this representative that he only assisted her by giving her the "port out number" and unfortunately every big company has people that do things they shouldn't. (Real reassuring, right?) I met with the "Manager" a few days later. Waste of time. He was rude, condescending and dismissive. I could tell he trained the other representative. I now will only do business with the ATT Store in San Luis Obispo. They are an actual ATT Store and not a 3rd party store like the one in Atascadero. read more

Salvatore helped me in store and was very nice and helped me navigate unlocking my credit that I had froze while traveling. We made a date for installation at my home for services. on installation day, the installation team sent an email with a status option so I could check when ATT would be at my home. original time was 8 to 12. I checked status and was told ATT would be at my home in the 8:00 hour. I was happy and waited. no arrival. I checked status again at 10:30. They claimed they would be to my home by 12:00. they did not make it. I waited until after 12:00 and cancelled whole order. ATT profit for 2024 was $73.115 Billion. treat your customers better ATT. read more

I tried again with ATT and set an appointment. I received a call from Salvatore soon after to say that he saw I set an appointment to try discussing installation again. He told me that the deal I had agreed to may not be available anymore. I had free installation but now, since I took too long to call him back, after they stood me up, I may not receive what was offered previously. So, they stand me up and changed the deal. I was probably in the store for a good 10 minutes looking at phones before I was even acknowledged as being there. I was beginning to wonder if the people who came in after I did were going to be served before me. Yeah, there was only one sales rep on the floor, but I was only one of 3 customers. So, it wouldn't have hurt for the sales rep to at least say something like "I'll be with you in a moment." But I got nothing, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't wearing my invisible man suit that day. read more

Upgraded my sons phone; no biggie. But the sales rep added a service called Next Up @ $10/month. This was done without my permission or consent and was not disclosed to me at the time of interaction. I was only made aware of this paid service added to my account, because AT&T corporate sent me a text, saying welcome to the next up program. When I called 611, They told me that they could not make any changes and that I would have to wait 14 days before they could make any changes. Alternatively, I could go back to the store where the phone was purchased and they could make the adjustments for me. I returned to the store the next day that they were open only to find out they can't do anything in the store and I'm stuck with this program I never asked for and don't want. I would still refer people to this location, and I will continue to do business with AT&T, but watch out for their sales people as they'll add stuff to your account without disclosing it to you, and without your consent . read more

I want to warn people about the AT&T store iin Atascadero. The sales person Salvatore blatantly lied to me and gave me incorrect information to get me to upgrade my phone. He overtly lied to me. So I am so very disappointed with my customer service here and will never be coming back. I came in to pick up my new iPhone 15 pro max (which is $1300) and had an employee (Sean T) help me. Basically he had to do an update on my old iPhone that I brought in in order to transfer the data from the phone onto the new iPhone. Without even letting me look at my new iPhone he quickly took the iPhone from the box and set it directly on the table cross from me to start the transfer. He then proceeded to take it to the back of the store since the internet connection was better in the back. This took about 25-30 minutes to complete. Once he brought it back to me I had it for a very brief second and didn't even place it on the table, I wanted to put on a protector for my cameras since they stuck out quite bit. He offered to help put it on so I said yes and put my phone screen directly face down to apply it. Then when we were just about to leave I noticed a very large scratch on my front screen right in the front camera. I proceeded to tell the employee that has been helping us, and he immediately went to blaming me for doing it, even though he was the one that had my phone the entire time. He claimed that I had scratched it by rubbing it on the table when I applied the cover on my camera which was not true, and that there was lint on the table that could have scratched it. I was utterly shocked, because there is no way that that deep of a scratch would be caused by rubbing it on a table which I absolutely did not do. He was the only person to have handled my phone that way. The fact that he and the manager Dystany were on defense and accusing me of damaging my phone was very suspicious. I asked them if the phones could come damaged and they said absolutely not and that they are brand new, so that definitely means that they damaged it in the store which by the way we never left the store. Basically, Sean told me that I could cover the scratch with a screen protector but I didn't want a damaged phone. I paid for brand new phone and they basically gave me a damaged phone and tried to pass it off as if I did it. then the manager gave us two alternatives to what we could do to handle the situation, which was so unprofessional and disrespectful. As Dystany was giving me these ultimatums, the employee Sean went to the back room to call his higher up (boss) and didn't let me hear a word of the conversation so I assumed he completely lied about the situation that had just happened. Then I tried asking to see if I could talk to the boss and Dystany quickly made an excuse and said i couldn't, very weird! Then she basically told me that the only other options were to order another iPhone and pay a restocking fee of $55 or to get my phone screen fixed by assurian which is not an apple company so basically I'm getting a screen protector that is a fake. I am honestly so disappointed again and can't believe the unprofessional team that works at this location. They made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and like I had no other options. It is honestly sad that they would put a customer in that position and not take responsibility for damaging my property and trying to gaslight me into thinking that I was the one that did it. Super unprofessional I would never recommend anyone coming to this location ever. Manager is Dystany and employee is Sean T. This AT&T store in Atascadero is excellent.I had been there a couple times when asking questions about newly released devices and also to turn in my old device after upgrading,each time was a great experience.The workers are knowledgeable and gave me all the help i needed. The workers at this store were VERY helpful when AT&T Billing Department claimed i never turned in my old device and charged me for it.I contacted this Atascadero store where i turned the device in and they provided me all the information i needed to clear the issue up. I often don't write reviews on businesses because most of the time I find mediocre service. The world is in a turmoil but that should not stop a business from showing outstanding professionalism. I have not been overly impressed with the AT&T stores in the area. I would say most have an indifferent attitude towards the customer with very little help. Today proved differently. My daughter and I decided to try the Atascadero store not expecting much. First thing I noticed was a very busy business with 2 employees handing the clients with professionalism and knowledge. They were aware of the people in the store and made an effort to make them feel welcomed. I left, not expecting too, with new phones fully set up to work. There was no high power pressure selling. We were looking for the best way to save and Gage and Salvadore made sure the we ended up with the best plan to fit our needs. More importantly, we had a chance to chat with both and found out we all had a lot in common. How unusual to experience this in a phone store. Both young men are a tribute to their company. Do yourself a favor and head to that store and experience what has been lost in so many stores- caring about the customer! Thank you Gage and Salvador for a great experience! The worst experience I had getting a new phone EVER!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Drive to the Paso store instead! SALES REP HAD NO MASK ON. The retail sales rep was unfriendly, did not explain any of the features of the phone or contrast the benefits of the different models or phone even when ask. "There over there, go take a look". Staff did not offer to transfer my information from my old phone and did not call me on my wife's phone when the phone was ready. When I pick up the phone Emily was working and just handed me the phone even though it was not functioning as it should. Did not help after asking for help, was not wearing a mask, and had the nerve to ask me to leave 20 minutes before the store closed. "I have cleaning up to do" as she blasted her music on the company computer. I WILL NEVER TO THAT LOCATION AGAIN!!! read more

What a rip-off. Do not use AT&T as an internet provider. They've been charging me $73/month for their "highest internet speed" which is only 18mbps. You can get 300mbps from spectrum for $70. read more

Clean store. Easy access from freeway. The customer service was beyond amazing. Jorge the manager assisted me with a repair on my phone. Wasn't something that at&t was responsible for, but he still took the time to help me register my device and send in the request with LG. So grateful for their excellent customer service. read more

Sam was very aggressive and not helpful at all. First off I was bullied into giving a 5 star review so I could get a 15% off coupon which I found out from another AT&T store that it is a common coupon that doesn't even require a review. When I came in to get a new phone my first concern was wanting a new phone number. I reminded Sam a couple times and at one point she said she couldn't go back and that I should call the 611 number and tell them I'm having a harassment issue. She could have changed my number easily and for free in the update process but since she forgot I now needed to reach out to someone else and lie. I called their customer service, they tell me I have a new number, I patiently waited 4 hours and nothing changed. I called the customer service the next day, they say it wasn't ever changed, I'm on the phone with them for 2 hours...they tell me to go back to the store and have them change it...this has been a total and complete NIGHTMARE! My number still hasn't been changed and I'm having to patiently wait for a different AT&T store to be able to help me. If you want things done efficiently and you'd like to be treated like a person I don't recommend going to this store. read more

I had such a great experience at AT&T on El Camino that I made a Yelp account just to give them a review. JORGE IS MY KING. This hilarious, gentle, attentive manager helped me navigate a complicated family phone plan switch and get a new iPhone, all while taking care of every other customer ON HIS OWN. He was calm under the pressure of four folks waiting in line, and he addressed everyone's issues with patience and a smile. He eased all my anxieties about my phone and I left the store feeling sooo taken care of. Someone needs to give this man a promotion! read more

I stopped by this store day yesterday. I needed a new phone. There were four people waiting and only one sales person. I walked around and there was no product on display, so I decided to come back the next day. The sign on the door said they opened at 10:00. I got there at 10:07. The door was locked but someone was inside. He finally came to the door and said he would open at 11:00. I pointed at the sign but he said 11:00. So I ran my other errands, got back at 10:45, and waited. At 11:02, I got out of my car. Four people came and went. I knocked on the door and rattled it to get his attention. I couldn't see anyone. So I called the number to find out when he would open. No answer. I called A T & T and finally got someone who couldn't figure it out either. Then I started thinking that maybe he was injured or something. He finally came to the door and explained that he'd cut his hand and was trying to stop the bleeding. He told me if I wasn't rude, he would help me. I was agitated, but I calmed down enough to see a young man who was injured, had no help and was in a corridor of town frequented by people wondering around littering and talking to themselves. Hence all the cameras and warnings about safes with delayed locks. Alex looked at my phone and gave me some hints about how to fix my problems and said I could come back tomorrow if I still needed a new phone. He said he might have help tomorrow. I'm giving Alex 5 stars for putting up with my irritation but A T & T needs to get him help!!! read more

I am a bit of a technotard but he was extremely patient, professional and very helpful in matching me up with the phone perfect for my particular needs. Absolutely have to say something about Jorge Jaminez, the Manager at our local AT&T store - Never in my 15 years of living here in atascadero, have I received such EXCELLENT customer service! I know a little about customer service from working 5 years in management at Starbucks and then 4 years at Justin Winery. I was having an odd situation with a new wireless device for my car that was tricky to figure out. Over two days I must have spent four hours on the phone with various technicians and we didn't get anywhere. Then I decide to walk into an AT&T store as a last resort. I wish I had started with that step. The minute I walked in, Jorge was so friendly and concerned about the issue. He proceeded to spend about 45 minutes going through every aspect of my account, the device, how it worked with the car, passwords etc.... it seems like we have figured out and I went home. The next day I encountered the same issue so I went back to him. He tried a few different things and then he called technical support and didn't give up until we found out there had been an error in the way the account was originally set up over the phone. Then he wanted to go out to the car and make sure it was working before I left. The entire time he was sweet, talkative and interested in my story. AT&T is so lucky to have him and I hope they realize it. Thank you Jorge, you are the best! This is how you get a customer for life read more

WOWZER!!! WHAT A SURPRISE to get amazing service at an ATT store. My fiancé and I spent over six hours on the phone with Apple support yesterday, Sunday, trying to get her new iPhone 7 (replacement for one dropped in the washing machine) up and running. 5 different support people , even a manager, and NOTHING , ZERO, NADA MY HEAD WAS GOING TO EXPLODE- APPLE WAS SOOOOO BAD and had double didgit hold times to boot. ATT was no better on the phone but I decided to go to the local store and WOW. One girl working, busy, but was calm and pleasant despite my aggressive and angry approach to her. So we waited our turn and when we got time with her, WE GAVE HER ALL THE SAME INFO THAT WAS GIVEN TO APPLE and BOOM, she had the phone working in 3 minutes!!!! Unreal. Truly phenomenal. And three minutes after that she has all the personal info downloading from The Cloud. BRITNI is the young lady's name and we are so grateful for her expertise.!!! THANK YOU!!! Oh, and btw, the best the local Apple people in San Luis Obispo could do was give me an appt for this coming Wednesday. Apple sucks w/o Steve Jobs. This store has the best manager I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Jorge is sharp as a tack and is so personable. He spent hours with me and never gave up on a very difficult problem.
