I did some research and knew what phone I wanted but little else. I decided to go to the Verizon store seeking someone with experience and wisdom. That is exactly what I found in Eric. Easy going, patient and understanding was not what I was expecting to find but this young man had all that and more. Seemed his main objective was to put me into exactly what fit me. As I explained how and where I would be using the phone, Eric knew what I would need to make learning and using my new phone easy. The accessories I purchased fit the devise, and my needs, seamlessly. I've had a few weeks to use and play with the phone and decided to send him a text to thank him and inquire about an accessory that was out of stock and harder than normal to find. When he called me back in a half hour, (that's right...called, not text) not only did he remember who I was but the item I wanted was already in route from another store and I could pick it up the next day. With service like this, why look anywhere else. With people like Eric, it's no wonder why Verizon is number one.

About 50 minutes, as the person two patrons in front of me, took a long time to complete their transactions. This seems like a common malady with most cellular retail operations which I've visited. They had two people working, and they seemed to be trying as hard as they could to get things done. So I guess the issues are with t-Mobile, and their staffing or processes. The patron in front of me was buying a new phone, and it wasn't initializing correctly. The other Customer Service Rep was busy with a couple, who were purchasing a phone, tablet and watch, and were still there when I left. I was also surprised when I got a text later, informing me that I had purchased insurance protection. That discussion never came to pass, so I cancelled it by calling customer service. That was a fairly quick call, but it was an unnecessary one. Bottom line, my phone was getting old, wasn't working well and needed replacement, which was ultimately accomplished.

The associate's first response to learning this was, "Just because they told you on the phone you could do this, doesn't mean we can." This kind of back and forth confusion between calling Verizon and dealing with associates, and going into a Verizon store and dealing with the associates at a location, is not new. Quite simply, the associates at this store are not helpful. Unless you are buying the phone from them, you may as well know going in, that they will not be helpful. This is not the first time I have had to deal with this store, my last interaction was over 5 years ago, and nothing has changed. 20 years I have been with Verizon and anytime I have to deal with a live person at this location, this has always been my experience.
