Yes, I know the iphones are not new to the market or anything but yesterday I got a wild hair and decided my new Verizon Blackberry storm was just not working for me. My friends and fam. were getting sick and tired of reading texts that looked like this: Hii glys whists upp/... you get the picture. Not only that, I hated my old phone so much I seem to have misplaced it for the last four days. After spending what seemed like an eternity at Verizon, I was told it would cost $500 to replace to a different phone and the sales guy agreed with me that it was actually more cost effective to pay to break my contract and move on to a different carrier (do these people not work on commission??) So I drove what seemed like three doors down to At&T. Upon arrival, Laura S. made a bee line towards me and proceeded to give me the best customer service I have ever experienced by a cell phone company. Laura gave me the pros and cons of each of the two phones I had selected and then when I picked the iphone, she spent the next 30 minutes explaining how the most important features worked and set up my email account to link to my app. so I wouldn't have to do it myself. I was in and out in less time than I had to wait at Verizon and now I have a cell phone that I love. I realize that Verizon has better service in remote locations, but I usually don't find myself in really small towns if I can help it. Me and my new iphone are blissfully connected with each other and I have finally achieved a marriage made in heaven! read more

Last Sunday I watched FOUR employees stand around the front check in stand for 10 minutes gossiping while two customers waited to be served. Nika Roberson is amazing! I just had hands down the BEST customer service I've ever experienced with any company. Went in to change to T Mobile due to their new unlimited deal but I will be staying with AT&T now. Not only did she find me a better deal than what I was paying, she went way out of her way to make sure it was everything I wanted and needed. Even though it's still more than T Mobile, her genuine care is worth the extra! She is a beautiful person and a true gem. I wish there were more people out there like her. read more

Nice people and very helpful. Get ready for the 30min to hour wait. I have tried sunday afternoon multiple times mid week and saturday morning. I'm off to find a different way to get service as the stores did not use to be like this. I think they are spending a lot of time trying to upsell service. read more

Not so much the store, but AT&T customer service. I did a chat to dispute a billing charge, as the dates were wrong. The person on chat told be to go into the store to verify the bill and the date on the phone. When I got there, the store had no idea what to do. I called the 611 number, and it took 30 mins to explain and get a manager, who said she would connect be to the International billing department. ( it was an international call). I was connected to an operator who had no idea what I wanted. Had to explain to her, again. She said she'd connect me. But, got to another line that was completely automated ('Please enter your 10 digit number for assistance'). Three days later, was texted about my experience with customer service. I couldn't give 0, so gave 1's and explained why I was dissatisfied. They texted back "we are sorry you are not satisfied". THen nothing. AT&T does not care if you are satisfied, all they care about is getting your money. I am looking to move to Verizon, or any other provider now. read more

Try to avoid this store if possible. I'm not someone who would fuss over poor service, but this store really was the worst. I had to wait 40 minutes for an attendant to help me, but that wasn't even the worst part. The person who "helped" me was very casual and lethargic. She constantly had a smirk on her face while she answered my questions, and her answers weren't helpful either. I returned home and checked online only to find that whatever the attendant told me wouldn't work for my case. So basically, I spent an hour and 15 minutes for nothing. My problem wasn't solved, and I'm back at where I started. Go here only if you want to waste away an entire evening for nothing. You'd probably be better off calling customer care to fix your problems than going to this store. read more

The AT&T store located at 10001 Research Blvd #130, Austin, TX 78759 is the absolute WORST location EVER!!! We've been with AT&T for several years now and never received customer service this terrible! In May, we went in and wanted to add a phone to our account. However, we found out today that we were LIED to by a rep named VICTORIA that apparently no longer works there (wonder why???!) We were told that they had a promotion going on "buy one get one free" on the LG G4 so we did that... upgrading the two phones we already had just paid off and then added an additional phone. The deal was we would receive everything that we paid on the third line back after 3 months (the $90 down payment plus all of the installment payments). As of today 4 almost 5 months have come and gone. 2 wasted trips back to the store later, we find out that was never a valid promotion on the phones we bought! We asked to speak to a manager the second time we went into the store and an hour and a half almost 2 hours later we were basically told that there was nothing that they were going to do. And that I would have to call customer service to get the issue resolved myself because, again...they were not going to do anything. Foster the lame excuse of a "manager" on duty at the time had been walking around us for a good hour acting like he was busy but doing nothing in reality; got angry when we would not just leave after he told us he would do nothing. That is the worst customer service I have ever received from AT&T. This store makes Sprint look like a good phone company. The right thing to do would be to honor the LIED about promotion that I had paperwork on instead of taking it personally. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM THIS STORE!!!! Even with that it's going to be a long ordeal. Really just go to another location totally. read more

Have had several poor experiences with customer service reps, but wanted to give praise for the way I was treated earlier this month by an employee named Bryn. She was knowledgeable, courteous after a long day, helped us out efficiently (switching out a gifted iPhone for another model with more storage), and never once tried to upsell another phone/accessories, or our existing contract. She was professional and we left with exactly what we wanted, for the stated price, and did not have that used car salesman feel that so often goes along with such visits. This worse place to buy or even buy online and pickup at this location. I purchased online and arrived to pickup and sales person Matt was very nice, but very under trained and didn't seem to pay attention to what he is or needed to do. His manager arrived and seemed to be upset about someone needing his assistance as he stated " I was doing something else and other stuff, so what is going on". Then I explained and he was completely useless and showed no interest in saving the sale. Over all ATT really needs to address this as it is causing them to lose business. I will cancel my order and stay with my carrier. read more

This AT&T is the absolute worst. I made the mistake of visiting this location out of convenience to where I was at that time and I seriously regret it. After waiting over an hour, I ordered the 7+ and got the 7 in the mail. I called and they said "all you have to do is return the location you ordered it and we will send you the 7+." well I show up and wait and hour and 30 minutes and just leave because I was no where near being next in line. I make an appointment for the next day and show up on time. BUT, they said that "the person that helped you order it specifically remembers you ordering the normal size." I'm sorry but just because he "remembers" does not mean that he is right. The customer is always right I thought?? So now I have to pay AGAIN for a return/restocking fee and even pay the extra $80 I already paid to get it early. I was having a horrible evening tonight thinking my iPhone was ruined and I would have to pay serious cash to replace it... I was very pleased with the courteous staff that assisted me and made me feel better about the situation. He spend longer than I would have dreamed trying all kinds of remedies to fix it. I want to say the guys name was Spencer... oh I wish I could remember for sure.... he was fantastic. Even though I didn't leave the store with the phone fixed, I was relieved to know all of my options and that someone took the time to truly try to fix it for me! Fernando Romo is the BEST!!! He spent nearly 2 hours with me getting me switched over from another carrier to AT&T. The person I was in a family plan with from the other carrier was very rude to him and didn't make it easy for Fernando to complete the transaction. I felt badly for him because of the way he was being treated. But Fernando stayed cool headed and solid as a rock as he dealt with the situation. He stayed focused on the task at hand which was to give me great customer service and get me switched over to AT&T as a customer. He was very kind to me in spite of the way he was being treated. I have never been so utterly belittled as a patron of someone's business. I switched over to my boyfriend's line from T-Mobile( of which I had been a customer for 13 years) and thought that I was making a good decision at the time. The incompetent sales person (Rodney )said I would receive credit up to $650 and all I was required to do was wait 45days and we would get something in the mail. Nothing came. So last night on the way home we stopped by this At&t store for assistance. The girl that greeted us was immediately confused by our situation . That offer had several parts to it that we were not informed of. We had to give them our old phone, we had to turn in our old bill by a certain number days etc. None of which we were informed of by our sales representative. When the mgr.stepped in he basically said since you guys didn't do the things you were supposed to I can't help you. He took no responsibility for his employees actions and gave no sense of empathy or resolution in this matter. He then told us that customer service could help but they had just told us that only the store could help not even 5mins earlier! That is no way to treat a recent convert. I'm going back to T-Mobile and taking my boyfriend with me. More data and better service! read more

I have been dealing with this AT&T store at 10001 Research Blvd since June of 2017. It is now May 2018. We went in to do a simple task and here we are, almost a year later trying to fix their mistakes. My, then, fiance and I went in to add my cell phone to his account and ever since then it's been a nightmare. One of the associates talked us in to combining our wireless/direct tv/internet bills all together. "It will make everything easier" he said. We didn't really mind paying 3 different bills, but if it was going to make things easier... Us, not knowing any better, we went along and proceeded to merge our 3 accounts. The associate told us it would take 2-3 billing cycles to merge and see everything on one bill. From there, our online account was stating a different amount than paper bills and things weren't lining up, so we went in to discuss the issues. When we went in, another associate laughed and said it is impossible to merge internet and cable together and bashed the associate in front of us. Very unprofessional and also, not funny! We are talking about my money, my time and I am being told that the other associate talked us in to something that wasn't possible. No one ever apologized for any of the inconveniences. On one of my visits to the store, one of the managers even got the original associate to help fix the problem he created, but on the customer side, I wanted nothing to do with him, since he's the one that started this mess. The staff did try to fix things, but I continued to not be able to log in to my accounts and see my bills. In the past, almost year, I have been up to the store over 10 times and have spent over 30 hours in store trying to get the accounts to merge and to be able to see my accounts. Today, 5/4/18, I went in to discuss my issues again with the store manager, and after 2 hours of being there I was kicked out of the store. The manager basically called me stupid and threatened to call the cops on me. I never raised my voice. I never threatened her. She said there was nothing else she could do for me and to get my things and leave. It's absolutely rediculous, that after all this time, and how nice and understanding as I've been, that I am being treated this way. Direct TV and AT&T need to get the stuff together and I have had multiple associates at this location tell me the same thing. It's been years since they've merged. I'm hoping that things can change and that no one else has to go through what we have gone through the last year. You can't treat people this way! read more

I have been an AT&T Customer for several years and have mostly been happy with my service over that time, however my experience with this store was THE WORST customer service I have ever had to endure! I went in to do the free upgrade from my iphone 4s to the 5 and was told I would have to pay the taxes, which was totally fine. For trading in my phone I received a $200 gift card that was supposed to be applied to the purchase of the new phone and then I would pay the $16 in taxes. The incompetent sales associate didn't process the gift card properly and then charged my debit card for the whole $216 instead of $16. I am not unreasonable and I understand mistakes happen, we caught it before I had signed however the hold had already been placed on my bank account for the full $216. I suggested she complete the transaction and then issue me a refund and then start the process over. Her response was "oh no, that will be too hard" and then she hard-closed the app and said okay the charge will fall off your bank account by midnight tonight. I received a survey later that day and explained how unhappy I was with the situation. This caused the store manager to reach out to me and he assured me the charge would fall off and said he would reach out to me the next day to make sure this had happened. I never heard a thing from him again. This was on Thursday. The following Tuesday the charge was still there. I keep a very tight budget (granted that is not their fault) so this $216 hold made my account go overdrawn, therefore I had absolutely no access to my money. On Tuesday I called the store and began dealing with the assistant manager. By this point I was extremely dissatisfied as I had no way to access my money for SIX DAYS. The assistant manager assured me I would be compensated for my trouble in the form of a credit on my bill. After several LONG phone calls to my bank, I obtained the information she needed to have them drop the charge and finally late Tuesday night the money was credited back to my account. The following day I reached out to the assistant manager and let her know the charge had been dropped and asked how I needed to go about being compensated for all the trouble I had gone through. I never heard from her. The following day after asking if I should just call the corporate office, she finally said she would have a store manager reach out to me. She asked what I thought was fair, and I told her I thought my first month's bill (approx $150) should be comped. The store manager reached out to me and let me know that they were going to credit me $50. In my opinion that is a complete insult. Not having access to my money for 6 days, on top of having to spend hours on the phone trying to sort this out was definitely worth more than a $50 credit. Truth be told, I would have been happy with a $50 credit had they handled the situation like they actually cared about the customer. The entire time I got the feeling that they had absolutely no concern about my situation. If you are considering AT&T - DO NOT DO IT! If you are already with AT&T, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST! Hands down worst experience I've dealt with. read more

This location is not closed. I was there on 12/29/14. I came to the AT&T store to upgrade my phone. When I arrived the man at the front said there was a long wait and recommended making an appointment. The next available appt was a hour later. I told him I would only wait if they had the phone I wanted in stock. He assured me that they did and his co-worker standing nearby confirmed ("yes, we have a ton of those in stock" we're his exact words"). Imagine my surprise when it's finally my turn an hour later and they are completely out of the phone I want. The employee assigned to help me was entirely unhelpful so I asked to speak to the manager. This woman was equally unhelpful. I asked them to locate the phone I wanted at another store and the whole time she's blabbing on about how she had such a hard time getting HER iPhone when it first came out. I wouldn't have waited AN HOUR for an appointment had they not assured me that the phone was in stock. When it was clear they screwed up they were unapologetic. Long story short I went over to the Apple Store where they were extremely helpful and got me my new iphone set up and paid for in 10 minutes. read more
