I feel kind of funny writing a review about my cell phone, but here we go... Typically, I do not enjoy picking out cell phones, doing the research, or dealing with billing, etc. I was the last of my friends to get a cell phone and laptop (resisting every step of the way). My Galaxy S8 had a bit of meltdown Saturday morning. I tried everything I knew to repair, but no deal. Headedto my neighborhood ATT store where 2 lovely ladies. although a. bit perplexed themselves, fixed the issue. Never. never turn on voice assistant by accident, for it will drive you crazy. Secondly. on Tuesday, I went back to add another line and a Galaxy Note 10 to an account. Jose assisted me and my novice smart phone partner. He was so patient and informative. Thank you. read more

Less than 24 hours of upgrading my iPhone 8 to the new iPhone 12 max I had 2 credit cards that were used on my old phone compromised. One card I hadn't used in months so I know this is where the cards were stolen from my old phone even though the phone was wiped clean. read more

Probably my first time going here about a month ago but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Long story short my phone accidentally fell into a cup of water the day before and I managed to book an appointment at this location for the following morning a few minutes after they opened. (I would highly suggest folks book appointments as it helps you get in and out of the store quicker.) I forgot the young lady who helped me but she was very clear about everything I was getting with my new phone and plan. She told me she was fairly new to the area and store but she doesn't understand how much she helped me save a few dollars on this plan! People like that are the folks that deserve to be working in stores like this. Aside from that this was very pleasant and I don't see why most people take time to bash this store and others in the city. Oh and I also love that this store is located literally around the corner from my place which is very much what I prefer with any place I spend money at. read more

Broke my iPhone, called them from my work number to see if I was eligible for an upgrade and this is literally my conversation with the girl that answered the phone: Me: "Hi I broke my phone last night, I shattered the screen and the screen doesn't work at all now, and I was just calling to see if I was eligible for an upgrade." Her: "Well to find that out, you have to dial _____ from your phone." Me: "I would do that....if my phone wasn't broken." Her: "O well, I think there is one more way of doing it....hold on.....ok you can dial _____." Me: "From any phone?" Her: "No from your cell phone." Me: "uhhhh I would do that......If my phone wasn't broken." Her: "Well then you need to call customer care." Me: "You can't just pull that information up like you have done every time I have needed a new phone before?" Her: "No we can't give that information out." Me: "Uhhhh ok?" as I hang up and take it to a cell-phone repair place down the road.... Great listening skills and amazing customer care obviously.... I don't know what happened to the young guy that worked there, he very may still be there, but either bring him back or let him answer the phones!! read more

The sales associate Summer was amazing, kind and patient when helping me get my new red iPhone during this Covid crisis

My iphone hasn't worked well in the entire 10 months since I bought it (the calls don't drop per se, by the conversation cuts in and out). After getting i-phone tech support, a re-set in the apple store, and finally a brand new i-phone, I still had the problem. Apple suggested that I check with AT&T. Today I was dreading going into the AT & T store (on a Friday afternoon), but I left the store in such a great mood. Ray Woods was so friendly and immediately switched out my sim card, and my phone is working perfectly now. He was very friendly, professional, outgoing, warm, and friendly, and as bonus he was so much fun to talk about pro football :). The only reason this AT&T store deserve one star is because they got to me quickly. However, that's really only because it's the middle of the week. I could go on and on about my particular situation, but nobody cares about that. All that matters is that the gentleman I encountered was rude, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to help me and dig into my issue a bit deeper or put in any ounce of real work. I don't understand why you have to give a star. ATT is a frustration all around. They could teach a masterclass in how to abuse, frustrate and mistreat customers into leaving. Save yourself headaches and hassles... you'd be better without any services. It is even hard to switch away from them, they slow play your ability to leave, continue to charge you and when you call customer service to resolve, plan for long waits, transfers and hang ups. read more

My phone was misplaced/stolen and tuned into this store. Not sure why no one attempted to call the number stored into the phone, but aside from that, the man I initially called out right lied to me about not having it. I finally just decided to go up to the store after talking to the man since tracking it seemed to lead to that location. Got a different person to help me and he was able to locate the phone in the back. I didn't ask any questions because I just wanted my phone, but the situation was shady. I've never been so fed up with a company before. For 2 YEARS I've been dealing with unreliable internet while still having to pay full price. I will not be signing another contract with AT&T. Your workers, phenomenal. Over the top, great customer service, and I've been very happy with them. AT&T as a whole, however, absolutely unacceptable technical difficulties and still being charged full price for something I can barely use. When I say barely, I mean it. Every 10 or so minutes, my internet would cut out for roughly 1-2 minutes. Now that I'm having to work from home, it's extremely difficult and exasperating. After calling dozens of times, my problem was never fixed, and now that I'm cancelling, they're charging me double when I'm not going over my contract. Wow. I really hope the company does something. read more

My wife and I went into the AT&T store on research to get 2 Galaxy 22 phones activated. I was told by a manager (Gina) that my wife and I qualified for First Net promotion (First Responders) to receive 2 tablets and 2 watches. Gina asked for our employment status. Told Gina we were both retired from a Federal and State of Texas Agency we are not First Responders. Gina intentionally set up our accounts knowing that we were not First responders. She also closed our AT&T account. That day we were in the store for over 4 hours. Over the next couple of weeks we were receiving e-mails from First Net requesting proff that we were both First responders. We went back to the AT&T store on Research Blvd, in Austin, Texas to speak to Gina. She took our health insurance cards and sent them to First Net as proof that we were First Responders. Said that would take care of the situation. Two weeks later, we received e-mails from First Net saying if we did not send proper documents in 7 days proving that we were First Responders, our service would be limited. Went back to the AT&T store. When we came into the store Gina went to a room in the back of the store never to return. Look as though Gina was running up charges on our accounts to get additional commissions. Not professional. It has been a nightmare. Over 900 dollars charged to my account. We ended up speaking to another Manager (Michael) in the store with assisting us to reverse the charges, close the First Net accounts and reopen the AT&T account. Eddie was also very helpful in assisting us with our accounts. Eddie was very professional, courteou and polite. read more

I am not an AT&T customer but had to visit this store with a bunch of questions regarding my son's phone. My son has his account through his step-mother (ex's wife) and I needed to get answers regarding disputed phone overusage of data minutes. I didn't wait any time at all on a walk-in basis and this was even a holiday weekend. I want to give special kudos to Jerri Collyear who was not only prompt, but thorough, professional and patient with a dinosaur of a techie like myself. Jerri spent a good amount of time looking up the used minutes and comparing them over a period of time in the past year and comparing to his sister's use (on the same account). She was incredibly helpful to me despite my not even having anything to do with this account and dealt with my 13 y/o son as if he was an adult, in a professional manner as well. When we discovered that the problem came from a phone software problem with his I-phone, she called and made certain that we had an appointment within the next 2 hours with the Apple Store in the Domain, something for which I was greatly appreciative. Just want to say thanks for a much better response and customer service experience than I've ever had at Sprint, which uses my business (begrudgingly) at this time. My wife and I walked into the store with our paid for iPhones. They talked into trading the phones in for $650 credit and was not explained the credit would be paid to us via $27 a month credit for 2 years. Tried to get this resolved with AT&T after going back to this store and being told "call the 800 number" basically stole our phones and now we're stuck with AT&T and their overpriced service. Went into this store to specifically speak with the manager after being hung up on twice by a customer service rep. I got to speak with Brandon he said he was a manager. The reason I went in is because my bill was a few days late and they continually harass me with phone calls, emails,and text messages. It's almost like they send the Mafia out after you to get their money. Needless to say Brandon was absolutely no help to me. He smirked at me & told me if I paid my bill on time I wouldn't be harassed. Admittedly, I was 3 days late. Does that constitute a Mafia hit????? Reading some prior reviews, I was expecting a long wait and lots of hassle with the contract. Turns out that they really have their process down. I had to upgrade my phone to a new Note 4 and use my old phone as my son's new phone on my plan. The sales person clearly explained the options and I was out of there in 20 minutes. Edward Linn, the Store Manager, Castillo, and Bobbie, the Manager, did an absolutely fantastic job overcoming an account issue I was having while trying to work with the Online/Over-the-Phone AT&T Support Team. The online team estimated it's take them approx 3 business days to fix issue, but Ed, Castillo, and Bobbie came up with a creative workaround with the Online team to get my new phone and get out the door in less than 20 minutes...really phenomenal teamwork and a testament to the benefit of using the AT&T physical stores for complex issues. Avoid this store...do your self a huge favor. Clueless employees that obviosly would rather be somewhere else...like a tanning bed. You work in a store full of phones...learn about them...be able to tell the customer some useful facts about the quality and reception, or customer reviews...or anything. Stay away from this location! Very nice people but they do not return phone calls for days later. CAUTION! Do not switch your family plan to a business plan, it will be a nightmare! They convinced me to move my 10 cell phone lines to their business department. I received 2 business cards one from the Sales Manager, one from the Sales consultant. They happily said call anytime with any issues. Some information on the account was incorrect. The sales consultant who keyed in my email address did so incorrectly, so I never received any new account information. After trying for 30 minutes straight to call that local store directly, I called AT&T's national support number. I also called and left a message with Sales Consultant who originally moved my account. NO CALL BACKS or FOLLOW UP AT ALL!!! Then called again the next day, again leaving messages with the Sales Manager and again the Sales Consultant for a call back. NO CALL BACKS or FOLLOWUP. Called the local store, I finally get through with I guy I've never spoken to (he was very helpful) - he had my original consultant resend my account info to the correct email address. As far as setting up the online access and getting my personal account rep with premier access, still no go. Several days later, I am still in AT&T HELL, going round and round with AT&T corporate, but still could not get my online account setup and was told to wait to hear from someone. Days later, no one contacted me. I've now called this local store again and left message for the Sales Manager telling her I would have to go over here head if she didn't respond. Also, left a message with the sales consultant - who has NEVER contacted me back. The Sales Manager now calls me back but I'm on the phone with ATT Business Support, after being transferred 3X and having to give my full account info each time and start from the beginning. We open ANOTHER ticket because someone has closed the original ticket. We are now starting from the beginning.!!! My opinion is to stay away from this location and be sure or what you are getting yourself into. Follow up and response time is horrible, things promised never came through. (e.g "I would have Premiere Access with a dedicated account rep" - Hell! I can't even access my own account online, (the family share account is turned off). Days later, many calls, no local support or customer service..... We are now starting from the beginning!!! Simply amazing!! read more

Great store, had a great vibe and energy...Ian helped my wife and I with upgrades on our phones and did a wonderful job. Everything was explained in great detail and didn't seem like he was just out to sell us the highest priced items and talk a bunch of bs.Got our phones handled and did a great job setting them up out of the box and making sure everything was working. He explained the direct tv and uverse and helped us lower our monthly bill and switch cable companies also.They seemed to work well as a team and help each other out.Overall great experience and I highly recommend Ian. read more

Yes, the new Iphones were just released, but there is never a wait of less than one hour now, during the afternoons or evenings. Otherwise, this is a relatively nice store. There is a clear system showing your place in line, and there is plenty of seating. It's close enough to shop at Target while you wait. read more

Big mistake switching to AT&T. Four days later and still no telephone service. Also, they don't have all the channels Time Warner had. Small saving aren't nearly enough to offset inconvenience. We were on our cell phones for six hours after the installation tech left before finally being told we needed a new modem. They are supposed to be shipping it UPS but its still not here. read more

if it's possible to give a company negative stars this company has deffinately earned it. I'm not referring to the store specifically, but more as a company in general. Their cable and Internet service is appalling. I'm not a big fan of Time Warner but AT&T made Time Warner seem like a saint in their service. Beyond the pour customer service, they are also con artist on their service plans. they will also sign you up for a plan without you even realizing your agreeing to sign up for an aditional year of their shotty service! My advice is to stay far away from AT&T and everything they have to offer.They are theives that will rob you without you even knowing! read more

I had the worst experience at this store. I walked in to this store to purchase an iPad Pro and was talked into signing up for the internet service. I was promised I would receive the internet for $40 a month, no installation fee, and a free visa gift card. So sounds like a great deal right? I signed up. I later find out that I have installation charges and that the gift card was to be used to cover the cost of installation fees. Wtf?! Had I known that's what it was for I would not have signed up. I spoke to the guy, who's name is Dennis, signed me up and all he had to say was there must have been a miscommunication but basically he couldn't promise anything could be done about it, tough titty. I honestly hate that I even signed up. AT&T has the worst customer service in-store and via the phone. I will never purchase anything else from this company. It's so upsetting that they do not stand by their word and that their employees are trained to treat and talk to customers the way they do. read more

I went in to the store at 3:30 today expecting to wait about 30 minutes. I walked in the hottest was very nice and told me it would be about 15-20 minutes. About 10 minutes later, my name was number 1 on the waiting list giving me the impression that I was next. After about 20 minutes had passed, my name still at number one, a lady walked in and got helped immediately. A few minutes later they helped the person in position 4. Then soon after that the person in position 3 was helped. What is the point of having a waiting list if the list doesn't even matter? I was going to buy a new phone and upgrade my plan but this store is not the best at accommodating customer service. read more

I was really dreading going here to get a new phone, but sucked it up and went for it. I went around 3pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't very busy. Was greeted at the door and put on the waiting list- I only waited about 5 minutes before I was helped by a very nice young man- Andrew. I told him what phone I wanted and that I wanted to trade my old one in. He answered all of my questions and never rushed me. He even offered to assist me with some U-verse issues I was having- we had a few minutes to chat while he switched my info from old phone to new. I was really impressed with the whole experience. Nice knowledgable staff and I was able to get in and out without feeling rushed or pushed into buying unneeded accessories. read more

All I wanted was for them to take my money. They require a driver's license to get a phone. The black woman who helped me told me I had to come back with a driver's license "because it was for my security". I asked her what would be the difference from me ordering it online and getting it for the in store pick up with no driver's license. She said. "I don't know. Go ahead." So after I messed around with her, I ordered one for in-store pick up right there in store on one of their tablets, at which point she tells me. "Like I say.... you still gotta show some ID befo you get your phone." Never said any of that. And why would she let me go through in-store pick up order after I just asked her what the difference was and she tells me she didn't know? Either she did or she didn't. Either she didn't know or didn't care that she wasted my time my effort and money so carelessly like that. Now I have change the order and have it delivered to my house, and last time I heard, no post officer needs any driver's license before he drops the same damn package inside a mailbox. We first visited the corporate store on Research near 360. They were uninterested in helping us so after too long a wait, we left. We next tried the franchise store at Research and Bracker. We waited a few minutes but then were given Rick's undivided attention. He was very knowledgable and worked with us to find the best and cheapest solution to our problem. We will be using this store for any AT&T needs from now on. read more

so i do not often take the time to write a review on a retail store, however i feel like my experience in this location was worth mention. I have been to my share of AT&T stores and typically the experience can be a long one. this store when it comes to waiting was not very different. i was waiting for about 25 min before i was helped by a sales rep. normally this would frustrate me a lot however the tall man that greeted me at the entrance was extremely polite and followed up with me throughout my wait (even offered to bring me a bottled water which surprised me). when my time came I was greeted by a rep named Allan who was very nice and outgoing which was good for me because of my issues. we found out that i was not authorized on my fathers account who was not with me at the time, which caused me to not be able to go into the account until he arrived which was about 5 min from that time. While we were waiting Allan talked to me about multiple products that AT&T offered that i had no idea even existed. my father eventually showed up and we went into the account to find out why our bill was so high. during this time the Manager in the store showed up Mr.Foster and introduced himself to us, asking if everything was alright. we expressed how our bill was increasing and we were frustrated because we did not know why exactly. He sat down with the three of us and went over the bill and found out my father was going over his minutes and text messages constantly along with having charges from another party. Mr. Foster recommended that we with to a new plan that was Unlimited talk and Messaging and 10 GB of internet for our smartphones. in doing this we would save around $45 a month which in my opinion was a huge deal. Mr. Foster also then told us how we could get a IPad on there Next plan for nothing and the monthly service would only be $10.00 a month plus tax. we ended up adding an Ipad and still saving a lot every month, and all it really took was someone to sit down and go over the bill which most AT&T stores only care about getting you in the latest device and increasing your bill. i would recommend anyone in the Austin area to go do business at this location if you have about 25 min to wait for a sales rep. read more
