Was lied to that I can order an iPad mini and it will come in 3-4 days and I will be emailed a tracking number. 14 days later, nothing! Called the store and spoke to the manager Jessica Singleton who refused to be able to help and got angry that I did not have my receipt handy. Really? Had to call 611 and spend hours, then get BBB and the corporate head office involved, to get this sorted. Please take your business to another store if you can. read more

I had a great experience at AT&T Brookline, with manager, Yasmin, buying an iPhone and iPad last week and returning twice this week for assistance with some programming. Also Milton was a great help each visit, assisting with my programming and transactions and Tammy helped putting cases on and films on the screens. I went in to return a phone I purchased online and was greeted by Yasmin, who showed me all the new Apple products. Instead of leaving with new iPhone 6 plus, I also have new iPad Air2. I went in to the verizon store across the street to upgrade my phone, but the customer service was so horrible that i left and went to this at&t store. SO MUCH BETTER. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and they made getting a new phone a great experience. I thought that switching carriers might be a hassle. but the staff helped me out and provided amazing customer service. The service i got from this store was very professional. They do things right at this store, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Because of their warm reception and friendly approach, At&t has made a life long customer out of me. This store also has a much bigger and better selection of accessories than the verizon store across the street. They also sold me a pair of Beats headphones and I love them. Terrible service. I walked in wanting to get on their two year contract with them and two minutes upon entering the store, I questioned that thought. I idly stood around for at least 15 minutes before someone there paid any attention to me and even when they did, he didn't really understand half the questions I was asking him. I purchased an iphone here in Nov. 2008 and I also got the $70 2-year Applecare (insurance plan). I had a strong feeling when I bought the applecare that AT&T was going to take my money and then find a way to weasel out of the agreement if I ever needed a new phone. Of course knowing that AT&T was trying to swinddle me out of $70 wasn't enough because I didn't know HOW they were going to swindle me out of $70. I reluctantly bought the insurance becuase I knew with almost certainty that something on the iphone was going to break within two years. Fast forward 18 months. My phone had multiple issues so I brought it to the apple store to have it replaced under my applecare agreement. Not surprisingly At&t succeeded in swindling me of my $70 just as I expected they would. Their system showed that I had never purchased applecare. Turns out you have to register applecare within the first year otherwise they will pocket your money and you have nothing to show for it. The guy who sold it to me said nothing about registering applecare and only told me how simple it was: all I had to do was bring in my phone and it would be replaced. The person at the apple store confirmed that AT&T was doing a poor job of informing customers of this requirement. Not to be cynical but I wouldn't be surprised it these shady punks where omitting this information on purpose. *Update*: I told At&t I would only renew my contract if I got a refund on applecare so they refunded my money. I increased rating to 3 out of 5 stars. read more

This store is very hit or miss. There is one great sales guy names Christian i think but the last time I was there he told me he was moving to another branch. There is one woman there that is the absolute worst! I wish I could remember her name but she has straight brown hair and does everything in her power to exert her miniscule level of authority. She is extremely unhelpful and has dead ended me several times when other sales people have had no problem helping me out. There is another younger sales guy there named Sam who is pretty good too but this one woman has made it bad enough that I do not return. read more

They can't sell you a phone at retail price (they are "not authorized" to do so), and if you want to extend your plan with a new phone, they don't have it in stock. This store is a front and it is worthless. read more

Literally the worst mobile phone experience I have ever had since my first mobile phone in the 90's. I switched to At&T from T-mobile for better cell service. T-Mobile is horrible in Boston. I live in Brookline so this store was convenient. Well convenient is ALL this store is...First off, I tried calling the store first several times to make sure they had the phone I wanted in stock. They don't answer the phones in that store. I tried 6 different times before going in the store. While in the store waiting for someone to help me I heard the phone ringing off the hook and no one paid any attention to it. I waited over 20 minutes for someone to help me and once I was being helped the customer service was ok. Except while waiting for the new service to activate, Kevin was pushing the home security service on me, several times. It was rather annoying! I said no thanks but he kept pushing saying he had to push it on me. Even after I said I rented and couldn't install this service even if I wanted to, yet he kept pushing. I finally got out of there in just over an hour and it turns out AT&T data speeds are not very good outside the city so I went back to the same store to return my device and new line within the 14 day return policy. Here's where it gets really interesting...Kenneth returned my device and line of service after I waited almost 30 minutes with little regard, while listing to the store phone ring off the hook. When Kenneth finally got to me, I asked why no one answers the phone and he said, "we only help people in the store, we don't have time to answer stupid questions over the phone." Well that would explain my earlier question of why no one answers the phones. I guess customer service over the phone is not important to them, even though they are a PHONE company. Anyway, Kenneth processed my return, I took my receipt and left thinking nothing more of AT&T...until I received a bill for almost $500 about 3 weeks later. It turns out Kenneth did not process the return correctly so there was no record of me returning the device, or the line. The only thing that showed up in they're records was me porting my number and effectively canceling my service early with AT&T. I spoke with AT&T corporate and they said to go back to the store where I purchased the device and they could handle this. So I go back to this horrid store and wait another 20+ minutes for my old pal Kenneth and he pawns me off to some mid level manager who says he'll take care of this asap and call me back with a confirmation so I don't have to wait. Sounds great!...No call...and another bill from AT&T. Back to the store and demanding to see a manager, I wait and still the phone rings off the hook in this place. No manager on duty at the time I was there so I was told to call in about an hour when a manager is on site. I literally laughed in the guys face and said, "are you personally going to answer the phone? Because I've been here 3 different times and no one answers the phone." He just chuckled. So I left and called several times and of course no one answers so I call AT&T corporate again and they say to go to the store. I inform them I have been to the store several times and we need to escalate this case because it's been almost 2 months and now AT&T is sending this unpaid balance to collections. I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with AT&T customer service to get this resolved. The agent tried repeatedly to get someone from that store on the phone to no avail. Finally, AT&T corporate was able to reach the store manager on his personal cell phone, who was in the store at the time, and he was able to look up my transaction and confirm that I did in fact return the device and the service on the date I stated from day one. Turns out Kenneth and Kevin at this store are completely incompetent and should be fired immediately. AT&T corporate needs to pay attention to these reviews. I am not the only one who had a bad experience at this store. I will never shop with AT&T again because of the gross incompetence at this location! read more

Really unhelpful service reps in this store, it's a little sad - I had a question about updating payment on a current order and the girl said "I don't know how it works" and just stared at me...okay? How about getting a manager, or asking someone who does know how to help me? Apparently, common sense does not seem tangible for these people. When I walked in the door to this store, I had no idea I would later leave in a state of such frustration and near tears. As a loyal ATT client for nearly 20 years, this was highly disturbing. The negative attitudes, unwillingness to help whatsoever, rudeness, better-than-thou air, and general ineptitude exhibited by certain "employees" (are they worthy enough to be called that?) at the Coolidge branch was appalling. The best answer I finally got was directions to a nearby Radio Shack, because, according to the rep, they had more inventory. As I talked to the Radio Shack ladies, they said people come to them every day with complaints about the jerks at ATT. What a waste of time and money. read more

We went in, talked to Dewan (shout out to the most efficient and helpful AT&T associate ever) and was out in under 15 minutes with a new phone number with unlimited calls,texts and high amount of data! read more

So I have had to go here twice since my initial review and it has been night and day. The second two times, I had incredibly attentive customer service and they made a great exception to waive a restocking fee and even returned a case I bought without a box. I also thought I had an in store discount from my employers discount program but when they pointed out to me the correct stipulation (it's for online purchases only) the manager made an exception for me and gave me the discount anyway. So sweet. One of these two times, I waited for over an hour, and had Ryan as a sales associate. He was seriously awesome. Was friendly and efficient. Apologized for the wait and gave me 100% attention even though my transaction was pretty lengthy. The manager at that time was different from the first manager and she was just as accommodating and great. Seriously, I wish I had this experience the first time but am really glad it was a fluke (for me anyway!). If you make an appointment, try to grab Ryan! read more

my wife and i recently got iphones at this store. we worked with a sales person named erin d., she was very helpful and great to work with. my wife's phone wouldn't download her contact book but erin kept working at it and trying new things until she got it to work. then she continued to stay past the store's closing time to help us get the phones just right. great service. read more
