This is about at&t in general, not a store in particular. The at&t wireless service is okay, has decent coverage. It was overly expensive for what they offered. The speed was reliable but slow. When they thought it was time for me to get a new phone my text messages would stop coming in. They would build up for a few days then come in all at once. I call to complain, they'd say "upgrade". I had at&t for 20+ years, this happened repeatedly. Their billing was also unreliable, they were always trying to run a scam and the internet was slow and expensive. read more

I had called AT&T to follow-up on a gift card offer for starting Fiber service with them - they ALWAYS drop the ball on these kinds of things. The CSR verified my info and brought up my account and after addressing the gift card issue, she asked why I didn't have cell phone service with AT&T. I had just started a line with Verizon and was having trouble with them applying bill credits as they advertised (since I owned my device) so the CSR was telling me with my Fiber account I could get cell service for about half the price I was paying at Verizon. I gave Verizon a whole month to get the bill credit situation figured out (that would've now been three months) and still paying an astronomical amount for a single line of service so I called AT&T back and spent the better part of the day on the phone with another CSR rep. I wrote everything down and took detailed notes on the prices and what everything was supposed to be. The CSR started the process of porting my number over from Verizon but could not finish it due to a stupid issue where they need to send you a PIN and it will ONLY go to a cell phone with service with them. So I recapped our conversation and went over all the discounts I was promised and we ended agreeing that the bill would be less than $70 monthly. My bill was ALWAYS twice that, which was even more than Verizon was charging me and they were at least giving me streaming services for free - AT&T was JUST giving me cell phone service. Full transparency, the CSR told me the first month might be off, so I waited until month two to say anything. I called in and after getting ping ponged around I get told that I have a special type of Fiber account and I have to call a special number to speak to a rep (basically my apartment complex is completely pre-wired so you just call to activate your internet and no physical visit is needed). I call my dedicated CSR and they tell me with my account type, I'm not eligible for any discounts on my cellular service. So basically two CSRs lied to me and all this CSR did was say well I'm extremely sorry you were misinformed. This is why AT&T needs to be broken up. Needless to say, I took my business to another carrier and if I had another option for Fiber service, I would be completely done with AT&T. What's even worse is they record phone calls and stuff like this still common place. My new carrier got my bill down to under $60 and that's with a wearable line and unlimited everything. And surprise, surprise my bill was CORRECT FROM DAY ONE - these large carriers like AT&T and Verizon are so profit driven they'll say anything and screw anyone over for a quick buck and they're too stupid to realize that this doesn't do anything for your long-term survival because you're going to continue to bleed customers when they tired of your B.S. read more

I switched to AT&T in 2007. Since 2007 i have had great service. One time i got a scam email. I called att to validate it. It took a while but it was a pleasant process. One time i had a hard time paying my bill and AT&T found a solution. One time (after THIRTEEN YEARS) of praise i moved to another state. This area gets service about 2 miles from my house. But NO SERVICE at my house. I called. We tried so many things to get it to work. It didnt. I like att at this point still. So. Instead of switching to US cellular who provides service at my house i decided to just not have service. Id rather have AT&T half the time than switch. Then my phone broke. I have been paying for insurance since 2015. I called to make an insurance claim. Asurion told me the minimum deductible is $200. The phone is over 3 years old. Brand new from bestbuy its a $230 phone. Ive already paid $900 in premiums. Why am i paying an additional $200? Turns out its not even a new phone but a refurbished one. Additionslly its only IF ITS IN STOCK.  What are my other options? Pay $75 for a shitty DOWNGRADE Pay $900 for an upgrade and forgetthat ive already paid $900 for insurance. So i call AT&T. They assure me they cant help. I say thats not good enough and mitch v. Gets on the phone and says she will take care of this. Give her 5-7 days to sort it out and she will call me back. 10 days later i call AT&T. FYI YOU CAN NOT CALL PEOPLE OR GET TRANSFERED. AT&T is HORRIBLE!!!!!! All they do is lie and give you the run around. I switched carriers before they could lock my cell phones. I changed carriers because they lied to me. I paid for my cell phones in full and was told that my phones were unlocked. Now, over a year and a half later, I'm trying to change to another carrier and I find out that AT&T still has my cell phones locked and they refuse to unlock them even though they have been paid for in full. They keep telling me that they will call me back to unlock them, but they don't. I was told they would call me back in an hour to unlock my phones. 3 hours later, I called and was told they still can't unlock them but they want my phone number and they will call me back. LIARS!!!!!!! They are holding my cell phones hostage with a hold for no reason at all. I work nights and sleep during the day, I have not been able to sleep at all today because of this nightmare and I have to work again tonight. Earlier, I chatted with customer service and I talked to someone on Facebook's Messenger. Both told me to call customer service. I called and was told our phones were locked but I had to go to my local AT&T store. I went there and was told that they can't unlock my phones, that I have to call tech support. I called tech support and they are the ones who keep lying to me, saying that they will call me back and unlock my phones. They should unlock them to begin with and not to have to call customers back to do this!!! And when they say they're going to call back, THEY NEED TO ACTUALLY CALL BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to share my recent horrible experience with AT&T Uverse... After moving, I started service and I was told there was a voice remote, and that I would have specific shows available on demand, both of which were blatant lies to just get a sale. After setup I realized this and immediately called to cancel. The customer service representative said I was locked in a contract and had to pay a monthly fee for early termination... I argued there is a 15 day money back guarantee and I have the right to cancel. They placed me on hold for another 10 minutes before hanging up on me. I called again and literally had the exact same experience with someone else. I was placed on hold for another 10 minutes and the person who finally answered pretended they couldn't hear me and hung up. By this time I was furious. The AT&T website "contact" tab has no email or phone number on their website to cancel service. It was until I called back and stated "This call is being recorded for quality assurance" (which it was), that they finally worked with me and helped me cancel service. Lying to a customer to make a sale is not only illegal, it is very unprofessional, and the way I was treated by customer service when trying to cancel is completely unacceptable. There should be an option to email AT&T so the customer has proof they tried to contact the company... Instead the customer gets hung up on and spends hours on the phone, talking to a robot just to explain the whole story to someone else, just to get hung up on again... I have been made promises that have not been kept. I have been lied to, representatives in the loyalty department have hung up on me multiple times ( I didn't curse or yell so there was no reason). I have been told 3 times in the past 3 weeks that i would get a call back from a supervisor but yet another lie, no one has called or tried to resolve my issues since day one which was about 4 weeks ago. Everyone wanted to talk to me when they wanted me to leave Verizon for AT&T, but now that I left i am treated like trash. The following are some, not all of the issues that have happened and i reported, and received no assistance. 1. Cancelled initial order 2. Charged my credit card twice for the same thing 3. Promised trade in value of $200 Ipone 6, $800 IPhone 11 PRO and $700 for the Note 9. NO CREDIT WAS RECEIVED. I paid for those phones, so if i am not getting the trade in promised. Give me back my phones 4. Loyalty Rep transferred or hung up on me. Just spoke with Aisha a supervisor and she did very little to help. I contacted the AT&T mobile warranty department in JANUARY, and I advise them I was having issues with a replacement mobile phone that was sent to me. The warranty dept sent out a replacement phone for my original replacement ph. Following that issue, the warranty dept has to send out 2 more replacement Samsung Galaxy S20+ phone. In May of this yr I had to contact the warranty dept once again for my replacement ph acting up. This time they sent me a Samsung Galaxy S21+ ph. I sent in my Samsung Galaxy S20+ ph back in the original shipment box through the post office. I took pent of pictures of the defective device prior to sending it back, as I always do. This month in June I was told that my defective Samsung Galaxy S20+ device had physically damaged, and I would be charged $1000 do to the damage. On Mon June 19th I spoke with customers service Sup Alex (ID #H62QT9), and explain that the device was fine when I ship it, and I have photos to prove it. He said it was my responsible to make sure the ph arrived back to them not damaged, and because the post office damaged it in transit I was responsible. I asked him if I can email the picture of the ph to show proof it was not damaged, and he said no. I need help to resolve this issue . read more

I will switch my phone service shortly and never use AT&T again. They decided to stop supporting 3 G phones in February 2022. Other carriers will support them through December 2022. Now months in advance of that deadline when I try to make calls I have to repeatedly wait on hold for their call center in India to lift the restriction so my calls go through. Today I had to call five times and wasted an hour. They would not let me speak to a supervisor, instead transferring me back into the queue or hanging up on me. I hope someone tries to call 911 and can't get through and sues them into oblivion. I pay my bill every month and I should be able to make calls. read more

AT&T and Enjoy Delivery Service Rep ported my phone number from T-mobile and then left me without a phone I CAN'T EVEN CALL 911 IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY!! Since the stupid Rep ported my number already from T-mobile to the AT&T device!! I already paid for the device sales tax online At&t's online system charged me $80.75 and AT&T took the funds out of my account it's been processed and completed! the next day the Enjoy Rep came to my home to "personally" delivery the device and to "help" me set-up, she then says that she needs to charge me $87.12 before she can leave the device, I told her no problem, she can just charge me the difference of $6.37 to total $87.12 since I got a confirmation receipt emailed from AT&T of the Charges. I already paid $80.75 and AT&T already took the money out of my account, The Enjoy Rep said that she can't it has to be that they have to CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD AGAIN the full amount of $87.12!! She said Paying the difference of $6.37 is not accepted by the system!??? and that the $80.75 that I was previously charged would reversed and be back in my account in 3-5 business days!! so basically AT&T wants to charge me TWICE!! with a "promise" to refund me $80.75 in 3-5days! I immediately thought the Rep was a scam artist and assumed AT&T knew nothing about the scam, so I went to the AT&T store to make sure, turns out AT&T is fully aware and this is and actually AT&T's way of scamming people for more money! I am certain if I had let them charge me again the $87.12, AT&T would've said that the $80.75 they ALREADY took out of my BANK account would be credited towards my next bill! That Stupid ENJOY Rep already ported my phone number from T-mobile to the AT&T device, I told her that I was not going to pay twice and that At&T NEEDS TO REVERSE THE CHARGES so they can just charge me the correct amount on the next try but the $80.75 needs to be back on my bank account first ! That Rep wasted 3 hours trying to resolve this issue simply because AT&T will not charge my card the difference of $6.37!! It's really unfortunate that after more than 20 years of being a customer with AT&T, I am being accused of stealing a phone. I returned my defective device promptly once I received my replacement device however somehow the defective device has not made it back to its destination. But NO has been able to provide any tracking of this supposed non-returned device so i can for myself where it maybe. I should not be responsible for the mail system. And as a long standing customer, AT&T should do something more to rectify this instead of point fingers at a reliable customer and force me to pay for the replacement device. BUT.... if you ever try to call their customer service, they have the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered... I don't know how that doesn't run them out of business. My review is based on the service I received from this specific location. The store itself was nice with a lot of cool stuff. However this being the HQ I had high expectations and the staff definitely fall short. My first complaint was I walked in and I wasn't greeted, I had to look for assistance. I walked up to an employee named Thomas advising him I had an appointment. He was not very friendly considering I was purchasing new service and a new phone. I had several questions and he was not knowledgeable at all. I particularly had to show him how to look up the specs on the device. I began to answer more questions since I will be locked in a contract for at least a year and Thomas seemed to be irritated with my questions. IMO I'm spending over $1k and he's getting paid to assist me so answer my questions. Don't get mad! I had the expectation of buying a iPad, iwatch and iPhone but his attitude I just got the phone and left the store. I called in a told them I had issues with my phone and the bub wiped my sim card clean and left me with nothing. My wife and I are being charged $336.57 for cell phone services from ATT that was so bad we had to cancel it five days after it was set up. Long story short, we bought two new phones and wanted two lines. Makes sense right? Well ATT had other plans. The bill they sent us includes charges for four phone lines. After multiple calls to ATT representatives, speaking with a customer service manager, and with a social media specialist there is still no resolution to this issue. In order to get the phone service that we wanted, aka 2 phones and 2 lines, we had to switch to a new provider. ATT made errors that caused our account to be incorrect, they then gave us wrong information on how to resolve the issue on multiple occasions, and now they have the audacity to CHARGE US for this! We never agreed to the four line account that was set up by ATT, and we never would have tried to set up cell service with them if we knew how terrible they would be. read more

I really don't like writing one star reviews, and have written very few, however occasionally it's very fitting. Absolutely horrific customer service over the phone. Ironic since this is a company that was obviously built on communications and phones. I was passed from one customer service representative to another at least four times during the hour plus phone call without resolution. Each time having to explain the billing issue I was having in great detail, only to find out the person I was talking to couldn't help me and they would have to transfer me to yet another person. The supervisor on duty wasn't even able to help me, and seemed more concerned about getting me to to sign up for wireless service and bundling services. Ultimately after another marathon phone call the issue was finally resolved. After many, many visits by AT&T technicians to resolve 'slow internet speed', they (AT&T) decided to try changing modems to see if that would help...it did not. By the third modem, they were still unable to resolve the issue. They also decided to CHARGE me for the latest modem they delivered. At that rate, I would be paying $7.00 a month rental for a modem that can be bought used on eBay for $14.00. I was transferred to an AT&T Supervisor who stated that since I had experienced so much trouble, I would be able to keep the modem free of charge. Years later, I discontinued AT&T internet service. They instructed me to return the modem of face a monetary penalty if I should decide to use it again. Understand, they had GIVEN me this modem, and now tell me I can't use it! So I now understand why people don't have landlines anymore. I had a landline before cell phones and keep it around originally for faxes but now more for convenience. I tried there WiFi services for $20 a month before, it was OK in beginning but got slower after the trial period. The porting of my cell phone to my computer was faster than their network. Well last week the phone just suddenly died. The digital phone showed that a line was in use. I called them from my cell phone and all I got was a digital recording. The recording said they would have someone come out by 2 weeks later. I tried calling again a week later and my completed date got pushed back another 5 days. When I had my U-Verse line installed. I left the AT&T tech alone while I weeded in the front yard. I later discovered that a heavy antique men's 18k gold signet ring, which my sister had given me over 50 years ago was missing, from a box on my desk, right next to the computer. At one point during the installation, the tech came out to get in his well stocked van with his well stocked tool kit. I asked him what he was doing, and he told me that he'd forgotten something. He drove away, and came back in about a half hour. I later found out that he lived a couple of miles from my house. Now when I figured out what had happened, which took a while, because I don't let people in my house, and having forgotten the tech, I thought I must have misplaced the ring, I contacted AT&T who sent me to their loss prevention department. What I didn't realize at first, was that the loss prevention department was not there to prevent loss to their customers, but to AT&T. Their investigator told me that all such complaints resolved with the parties calling him up and telling him they had found the object in question. He also told me that I couldn't prove it. During this lengthy process, not one person disputed the fact that I had owned such a ring. I really wish I had misplaced it. Then during the massive amount of time I spent searching for it, why I would have found it. AT&T has been satisfied so far to deny my claim. The so called Office of the President is totally useless in such situations. They report to no president, and are simply another group of complaint department employees, who move no complaints to anyone above them. Meanwhile of course my AT&T bill continues to climb. I struggle to pay every month because I'm a single mom of five teenagers, my biggest mistake is trying to give my kids technology. Every month, one week of my pay goes to your company to keep my service afloat, I pay late but I pay before it hits the 30 days but I'm shocked that for the first time in my history with your company, you did this to me, even though I've been a loyal customer for more than half my life. A bundled nightmare.... What I ordered: AT&T Wireless & Direct TV Bundle (for NFL Sunday Ticket) to arrive on the same day, with a $250 rewards card for placing the order online. $0 Installation fees to set up my services. This is what I received: 1. Wifi Installation on the day of service date. 2. No Direct TV and later installation date scheduled (after 3 hours of holding, confusion, 10 different transfers, dropped calls, wrong transfers). 3. Extra $20 charge for shipping, handling, processing of direct tv equipment. 4. Explanation that the rewards card is only $100; not $250 as originally advertised. 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Call from ATT Technician explaining that he doesn't know if he can install due to building size and liability reasons, but he can set up the internet. Technician explains that I will likely need a Direct TV contractor to come out because the roof is too high for him to climb for liability purposes. 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM: 10 different people and 3:30 hours of holding is the time it takes to finally reach the Direct TV person that I need to schedule a new date for install even though the online order explained both installations occurring at the same time. read more

This company needs Jesus, man. My experiences chatting with their customer service representatives have been so agonizingly horrible that I think my human rights have been somehow deeply violated. At the very least, the Geneva Conventions' Torture Of POWs section should be updated, ASAP. For three plus hours, today, I tried speaking to someone at AT&T about a $190 charge for a phone service that doesn't exist. And in that time, the Dallas-based company has impressively done the following: 1) Transferred me ten times. (No one seems to know how to resolve problems, I guess.) 2) Hung up on me four times. (Insert despair emojicon.) 3) Allowed me to question what I did in my past life to deserve this kind of abuse. 4) Encouraged me to think about plunging a pair of chopsticks through one of my eyes. (I'm Asian, and that's why I have chopsticks.) Oh, and I forgot that my girlfriend actually started this three-hour marathon, but lost her mind midway through and then gave the phone to me. Why? Well, she started crying in frustration. And for a person that serves as a resident OBGYN physician at a major hospital in Atlanta, Georgia that has seen horrific things like stillborn babies and pregnant women on crack, it takes a lot (and I mean a lot) to break her spirit. But you know what? AT&T's customer service rang the bell and made Niagara Falls come out of her face. Bravo. If you don't get the point by now, let me finish with this: I would rather "walk" across an entire football field covered in flaming glass and battery acid - with my face - than deal with another AT&T representative. The only compensation that an AT&T rep offered to us - prior to hanging up the phone - was $20 off the $190 for the service we supposedly owe. How many times do I have to state that we don't use this service? Helloooooo, AT&T. For the love of God, AT&T, please stop transferring and hanging up on us. read more

Sometimes, when a company gets too big; things falter. Sometimes, when a gold standard knows its a gold standard, things falter. Sometimes, when a business fails to provide what they are being paid to do, trust falters. This is the case for me with AT&T. Yes, I have a phone number. And a dial tone. And I pay my bill like clockwork. But all I wanted was a land line. A boring, low key, non fuss, land line. No mega bundles, no high tech options to beam universal info to me at lightning speed. Just a land line. In this quest to obtain the dinosaur of the telephone world, I have experienced customer service so abysmal that the only thing to do seems to be grab 2 Dixie cups and some string or set up the fire pit to enable smoke signal usage. Less stress. AT&T provided me with 8 disconnects, 123 minutes on hold, 4 online chats ending with 'no can do, please call the business office'. In addition, the customer associates who have crossed my path in this endless maze of ineptitude have provided madness. One can only stare at the receiver in horror when told: that is not the correct address for your service, there is no such address for that service, you can't do that now, call back at a later time. I don't think I have ever spoken with more people who could not communicate clearly even though they work for a telecommunications company. I hope AT&T realizes that this review is in the hands of a Yelp persona that prides herself on being fair and reasonable; never faltering in that attitude. Even business owners read and write; and if Yelp is to be taken seriously that is a high compliment. And somewhere, somehow, an AT&T exec might read this and realize a 1 star review is totally on point. In this, I never falter. read more

AT&T is the only company in the world that I HATE.... I am a pretty easy going person and have owned several business's over the years. I understand that all business have issues. BUT with many times of contact with AT&T they are the most consistent company I have ever done business with that every contact you want to rip someone's head off. They have NEVER done what was promised when they said it would be completed. Again this week they have disappointed me again. And I know you ask if I hate them why do business with them. I need a plain old analog phone line and cant use a VOIP or digital line and they are the only provider to my home. It is really amazing to me that a company that large can have such a poor consistent customer service presence in the market. But that is not the worst of the story...... Their will be no one who cares at AT&T. There will be no one in the entire organization that cares or if they care the monster is so large they can't make a difference. All of this starts at the TOP... the management needs to be changed from the top down. clean the rats out of the barn and you might need to burn the barn down to accomplish the task. It is always amazing that no one there ever cares how bad it is. read more
