I had an extremely frustrating experience at the AT&T store in Enfield, and it was largely due to an employee named Bailey. From the moment I walked in, the attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help, Bailey came across as impatient and uninterested, as if assisting customers was a burden. I had a straightforward issue, but it was met with vague answers, zero effort to explain anything clearly, and a tone that felt borderline rude. At one point, it genuinely seemed like I knew more about the situation than the person who's supposed to be the "expert." That's unacceptable. On top of that, the overall service experience was painfully slow and disorganized. I left without my issue properly resolved and with more frustration than when I walked in. For a company as big as AT&T, this level of customer service is embarrassing. If you're considering going to this location, I'd strongly recommend thinking twice--especially if you end up dealing with Bailey. Company Review:  (unfortunately, this hurts all local AT&T Stores, so I'm posting it at multiple) AT&T has fragmented its business model so poorly, that phones and deals done at Target or BJ's or other retailers cannot be supported or investigated by in store staff.  Okay, sounds fair you might say, but AT&T CORPORATE STORES CANNOT HELP YOU if you performed a PHONE PURCHASE, UPGRADE or other transactions with AT&T directly using their OWN CORPORATE RUN WEBSITE?   What a farce.  And Goodness help you if you go to a RESELLER STORE MASQUERADING AS A CORPORATE RUN STORE, because there is not an obvious way to know the difference, but they'll be even less helpful!! I'll be leaving similar reviews at all the local AT&T stores.  If you want to be able to go, and have a Store Manager fix an issue for you, ONLY deal with the store directly, never the online store or phone customer service.   The whole company is built to grab your money and waste your time.   Consider another cellular provider. read more

When I bought my wife a new phone the agent never told me I could trade in her old phone. Once I found I could I returned to the store to be told it had been 31 days since I bought the phone, and the offer was only for 30 days. I also was never told about the 3o day period. The manger told me to call customer service, which I did as I waited at the store. I spent almost an hour, most of it on hold. I was eventually told I needed to talk to the returns department. This was an automated service. They said I had a long wait and could chat w/ "someone". The someone was an automated "agent" that could not help w/ the issue. I eventually was able to get to chat w/ a live agent. They told me I had to call customer service. I am currently waiting for my call back estimated at 89 minutes from now. I called the Enfield (Elm Street) store to speak to the manager and was told they were really busy. When I asked for the manager's name, I was told they couldn't share that over the phone, and I needed to visit them. I had just spent an hour at the store already w/o anyone helping me and I didn't plan to travel back there now. Absolutely the worse customer service I have every received. I'm going to clarify that this review is based on my experience with this store. Any other touch points with AT&T via social media, call center and other stores have been exceptional. I love this company. I dislike this store. I ordered an iPhone 7 for pick up and forgot my wife is on the account. The clerk went to the back and got my phone. She then said, "oh you are not authorized." Then she pulled the phone back and stared at me. Since I've called on my wife's behalf and picked up phones before, I was puzzled. I asked what we could do to get me on the account and she told me, "have her call 611. It might take 15-30 minutes to process." She then resumed her blank stare. I asked if there was anything she could do to find an alternative to help me and she said no. I left and was not happy. I left work early to get this done. Later, I found out this was a policy to prevent theft and potential domestic disputes. That made sense, but this was never explained. I went to the car to call the call center. The woman there immediately empathized and explained the policy more. She asked my secret password and authorized me. I found out later, this likely was a violation of policy. I went back in, newly authorized and this time the manager came over to me. I explained I was authorized, had been in earlier and wanted my phone. His response was, "well someone could get fired, but ok, I guess you are authorized." He then passed me off to a third agent. He methodically activated my phone with little said to me. He then asked if I wanted him to put this in a case and screen saver. He pitched in a way that told me these were included. I thought to ask and was glad I did. Yes, it was an extra cost. Of course, yes, I would be passing. Here's the kicker, going home, I realized setting up my new phone caused my old phone to be disabled. Everything was an aggravation. All I wanted was to be valued and offered help and solution. The rational around the policy is totally understandable. The feeling of "I could care less about you," is not. The social media team made it right and was amazing. I will never, ever go to this store again. I will drive across God's green earth to avoid this location. read more

I wish I could rate this store as negative. 10 months ago they sold me a buy one get one scheme of iPhone which never got activated. Had to pay in full for both phones to switch back to At&t prepaid. Wasted at least last 10 days with customer care and finally came to know that Enfield store agent who sold me the scheme was not suppose to upgrade my second device from IPhone XR 64GB to iPhone XR 128GB and he told me that I only need to pay 50$ difference rest BOGO plan will cover. Recently came to know from customer care my At&t plan never got activated because of that upgrade. Seriously, Enfield store staff get in sync with At&t policies and stop telling lies to the customer. You are ruining the Brand name of At&t and leaving annoyed customers like me. Cherry on the top was I walked into store last week that my BOGO plan which I got from your store I remember the name of the sales associate so mentioned it. At&t store manager response...that sales exceutive is working out of from a different location please visit that store as he sold you that plan. After an hour of argument store manager said she will talk to customer care with me. Then I called At&t customer care but she went inside stating will be back shortly. She didn't come out it's been 10 mins and then another associate came to inform on her behalf that she used propriety tool of At&t to log the complaint. I asked for the ticket number she said it's seceret and can't be revealed to customer kindly wait for 7 to 10 Business days for resolution. I came out of the store and want to bang my head to wall. While covid is going on I came all the way with on to the store and got that kind of great customer service. Just to let you know you mistake caused me loss of around $900. I went to this store to get help in getting the new phone I received from my insurance set up. The staff was extremely unhelpful they acted like I was bothering them they made me feel stupid for not knowing how to retreve the data from my old phone, ultimately I lost all my stuff I was very upset about this! They said I can do this on my own gave me the phone and told me to go at it, I felt I could not ask them any questions so I left and went somewhere else. Horrendous experience! What is the deal with this store? All reviews are bad! We walked in with smiles on our faces, asking for an affordable option for my mother-in-law. After being upsold on things we didn't want, the salesman finally showed us something reasonable. A prepaid Iphone 6 for $199 that we would have to put $100 on. Unlimited calling anywhere and full use in wifi. What ticks off the $100, we asked? Only when you use data outside of wifi. Unlimited calling? Yes, yes unlimited. Based on this we bought it. When we presented the phone to her and showed her how to use it, it started ticking off 25¢ a minute for calls and 20¢ for texts. Exactly the opposite of what was represented. Brought it back within the hour. Salesman at least admitted his mistake. Now told that of the $300 we paid, they could not refund the $100 put on the phone and there was an additional $45 restocking fee!!! If we gave them back the phone they would keep $145 of our money. Outrageous, when it was their misrepresentation that prompted our purchase! I politely asked for their last names and was told that it is against their policy to give them. Then walked to the front of the store and saw that they each had business cards set out for taking, with their full names. Liars! Asked for the store number and the manager (Ray) would not give it. Good thing it was on the receipt. Ray was so rude! How can he be in the service industry? Will NEVER deal with them again! read more

To all of you out there whatever you do never sign up for AT&T TV. I went to the store here in Enfield,CT to see what they had to offer and they are not even close to being competitive with Cox here in town. I pay $140.00 per month for Cox with every channel including all the premiums for two years guaranteed. The people at the AT&T store first said they didn't even care if they got anyone to sign up and that alone they should be fired. Next the price is great for AT&T for a year and then it doubles to $185.00 per month. And the promotional price for the premium channels is only 90 days. So even with the promotional price for the ultimate package of $70.00 dollars per after 90 days AT&T nails you for another $55.00 per month for the premium channels with a total of $135.00. And it will go up again in another 9 months from $70.00 to $135.00 per month just for the ultimate package and add the other $55.00 for the premiums and your total bill after a year will be $185.00 per month. And let's not forget Cox has a data cap on their internet every month of 1 terabyte after if you go over the cap which you will if you are watching live TV via streaming you will have to pay another $50.00 per month to Cox so you won't get charged an extra $10.00 for every 50 gigabits you go over the Cox data cap. And I left a horrible review about the AT&T STORE here in Enfield of Google. And the owner supposedly replied that is not the experience he wants his or her customers to have and hoped to here from me soon so he or she can help make me a happy customer. So I called the store again today and asked to speak with the owner and the man said their is no owner. So first the person who said he or she was the owner lied and second the Rep I spoke to at the store when I called again said THE PRICE IS THE PRICE and again they didn't care if they got any customers or how many crappy reviews anyone left about the store or AT&T. And again the person told me that SHOULD NE FIRED for his BS attitude towards potential customers. And proceeded to tell the rep that it is all over the internet of AT&T TVs crappy pricing and everyone across the U.S. is telling everyone not to sign up. Well maybe you losers at AT&T will wake when you don't get anyone to sign for AT&T TV and when more current customers drop you like yesterdays trash and you lose more money you ingrates. read more

Save yourself some hassle and do not go to this store. We decided to try AT&T but we were completely lied to inside the store regarding what our bundle pricing would be. We were also advised to deceive our cable company and cancel our service and reopen it in someone else's name to have cheaper internet service. We returned our phones and tv box within 6 days of purchase. One of the employees from this store also told us to return our tv box to a different store so we could keep a lower payment and not say anything just that we were returning the box. We paid the restocking fees and here we are over a month later still getting bills from AT&T for service and equipment we returned.(bills over $1500.00) Customer service says we have to go to the store to make sure that the employees restocked our merchandise but we have receipts showing we paid the restocking fee. Also, never mind their supposed first net discount. We are still being billed from them too. Even after the store ensured us they closed the account. We will not be going back into this store for anything and we are happy to switch back to our non hassle other cellular provider. read more

Showed up for issues with iphone 7 giving no service. Very not smart ATT rep Jackson told me the issue is due to my SIM card jiggling around in my iPhone and scratching it up. Had to purchase a SIM card to prove he is a dumb a$$. Of course didn't work and will not go back to talk to an idiot. Please train your employees better. The workers in this store are not very helpful at all. They don't explain things, they don't listen to your questions and they tend to be pushy. I would recommend the west springfield store above this one because they take the time to listen to you and act like they care about their customers. This has happened on multiple occasions with me and many people I know. read more
