Immature associates with poor customer service. The management exhibits poor leadership by not abiding by AT&T policies and not being professional with employees nor customers. I will reconsider my loyalty to AT&T if terrible experiences are representative of AT&T. I kindly asked for the return policy, and the manager informed me policies are for internal use only, and the fact that I requested the policy is "disrespectful" of her managing her store. I purchased an apple watch series 3 with cellular for my girlfriend two days ago and have been unable to active it on her AT&T account. After spending a few hours working with an online tech support rep I was told we would have to go to a store to pair the watch with her phone. We went to this store this morning and had a terrible experience. I explained the issue to the young lady that was helping us, explained that I have tried the step-by-step set up process multiple times. The store rep looked at the watch and asked us if "we were sure we bought a cellular version"... firstly, it says LTE right on the watch, and the cellular apple watch is the only version with the red crown. Yes, I am sure. She then took a look at the account and said "I think I see where you messed up". I messed up? I've set up multiple watches and other devices on my own account through Verizon and have never had a single issue. She then told me the steps to pair it, which was exactly what I had done before coming in. Even if I somehow made a mistake, which I didn't, isn't it the number 1 customer service rule not to accuse the customer of something negative? After half an hour of her going back and forth with other associates we were told there's nothing we could do at AT&T and to go to an apple store, the watch itself already had a line on the account and they were not even able to close that line. It was a waste of time and energy for what should have been an easy resolution (if the line already exists it just needs to be paired to the cell line via AT&T numbersync), but instead of a resolution we were told to go to another companies store because AT&T could not do anything to fix the issue with AT&T. The apple store we went to afterwards verified that the issue was all on AT&T's side. I typically don't mind if someone isn't doing their job well, or isn't knowledgeable enough to assist, but to be accused that I messed up a simple process when she didn't even know how to determine the watch was a cellular version... it's just ridiculous. We will never be returning to this store and will be getting my gf off of AT&Ts service as soon as possible. Every time we've gone to an AT&T store it has never been a simple process. read more

Service performed: signed up for the first time for an individual unlimited talk & text, 5 GB, $25 access fee, 6.99 insurance, Silver iPhone 6s 64 GB, Next 12 down payment (of $225) plan I went in on a Thursday morning and was mildly helped by a gentlemen, unsure of his name now. He wasn't rude, but dull and unenthusiastic (not that phones are that exciting), but I didn't get the air that I was in the best hands. I left, slightly discouraged by the line access fee ($25) and the plainness of the associate. I returned at 10:15 am the next morning. I was greeted, just as the rest of the customers were, about 3 or 4 were in the store. MANOJ SINGH was the gentlemen who said someone would be w. me soon. After about 7-10 minutes he was able to get to me and I was able to ask a few remaining questions I had from previous research on an AT&T plan. He answered them accordingly, in a way that I was assured these answers were the case. He was CONSISTENTLY attentive, polite, and friendly. I felt I was in good hands. I am a very critical person and can think of few things he could've done better. Only thing I would say for his service is that it would'ed helped to have things explained at a normal pace. Much of the information and or jargon was new to me and of which I wasn't familiar. Although, being that he knows the information well it's hard not to say it quickly or in a "knowing" way that can be difficult for new people to grasp initially. He took the time to get me exactly what I needed and sat on the phone w. AT&T to get my number transferred over from Straight Talk to AT&T, which took a while but was no fault of his. He gave me time to go to my car, grab my laptop and back up my old phone once more to make sure I had all the data accounted for and provided me with a cable to do so. I don't think he skipped any steps of service, I definitely recommend requesting his assistance. As a last point he made natural and enjoyable conversation while we were waiting for everything to be set up. He also made an effort to have me not charged for extra costs, (i.e. AT&T was thinking about charging me for an upgrade fee for an iPhone 6s, even though I was turning in my old 5s for a $200 credit). read more

A little background info: we've been AT&T customers for more than 10 years now & we haven't ever purchases insurance for our phones... why? Because they all have lasted until we upgrade or decide we want a change so we always pass when asked if we want to add insurance. Everything about the transaction was fine (or so I thought) until I came home & took a look at my receipt. During the transaction, Jorge (or George) said the typical pushy salesman stuff: go pick out a case for the new phone (no thanks), some % off accessories (no thanks), add insurance to your phone (DECLINED). Soooo why do I see that insurance was added on my receipt & plan when I get home? Luckily, I'm one of those that don't instinctively trust this conman. I immediately called AT&T and had it removed 10 mins (20 mins after completing the transaction) after I got home. AT&T customer service (via call center) were is great. They expressed that this shouldn't have occurred when we blatantly declined the insurance and this sales guy didn't have the authority to add shit we didn't opt for. 5 stars for the AT&T call center reps. If I could, ZERO stars for the sales conman we have the displeasure of working with: Jorge or George or Jose... whatever the eff his name is. Never going to this particular store again. I didn't even get a printout of the agreements you usually get when getting a new phone/payment schedules when opting for installment plans. All I got was a printed receipt from the cash register (thank god or I wouldn't have caught him adding shit on). I'll be working with Apple directly from now on. I signed up for an unlimited family plan recently online with AT&T. We had our own phones/numbers to bring and port over from 3 different carriers. Got the sim cards couple of days later with instructions for how to activate them. Well, little did I know the circus I went through. I spent over 4 hours online, then on the phone, only to be told at the end that I needed to go to a store and activate service. My wife and I visited this store and to our pleasant surprise; Jorge and Rick helped us with such expertise and efficiency, it left us very impressed. Both gentleman were professional, friendly, communicative and very helpful. We couldn't have asked for better service. Our sim cards, number porting, and service were all up and running in no time. Thanks to Jorge and Rick. We regretted signing up with AT&T as we struggled prior to visiting the store. But after the great experience we had with Jorge and Rick, we are extremely happy. Can't praise the workers in this store enough! My usual store in Leesburg was closed due to the pandemic and was sent to this store in fairfax. I was already annoyed I had to drive further and the fact that my phone was not working. When I walked in the representatives Naddie (I forgot how to spell her name), was just the sweetest. She greeted me with a smile and listened to all my issues and had no problem helping me out. Unlike other representatives she walked me through what she was doing through each step and answered my questions through out. In the end she tested my phone to make sure to make sure the problem was fully fixed and even gave me directions on how to go back on the highway. Showed up for an appointment and was told I didn't have one unless my name was AJ. Showed text confirmations of the appointment time as proof, and the representative then demanded my photo ID, only to tell me he couldn't even talk to me about my account because I wasn't "authorized." While I attempted to resolve that issue, he wandered back to a table full of AT&T representatives all loudly discussing whether his "female" was too old for him given an 8 year age difference, and remarking on her appearance. It only got worse from there. The level of professionalism at this store and this company is disgraceful, and has cost them a loyal customer of 23 years. read more

This is a nightmare store. They made a huge mistake in the subscribed services. Adding insult to injury, they answered the phone after multiple calls. My girlfriend and I went into the store to change our phone plans for upcoming overseas travel. Unfortunately the information given to us by the customer rep was wildly inaccurate as well as annoyed that we decided to physically come in to have a conversation about our options. About every minute we were told that "you can just do this online" when we were trying to get a firm grasp on how charges for data, texting, and calling were accumulated while overseas. When we mentioned a plan for unlimited texting we had used during previous overseas travel we were visibly laughed at and said that doesn't exist, then, reminded that we could just do this online. We were quoted the "best possible plan" that existed that was a rate of $1 per text and $1.50 for a "multi media text" which I don't believe is still a classification. It became pretty clear that the customer rep was either unwilling or unable to help us so we left. Afterwards we decided to go to another AT&T store where they were able to quickly help us with accurate information and some common courtesy. I wouldn't normally give "one star" for me perceiving someone as rude, but that combined with information that seems to be a decade old just made it a wasted trip. The next week I call to say I wasn't contacted and leave my info for so-and-so once again. No return call. Another week goes by, so I go to the location once again, but first thing in the morning. The place has one customer. I'm told I need to schedule an appointment and nobody can help me immediately. My money and I left, never to return. If I had known that these guys are in business to do me a favor, I would never have wasted my time. I did all my business over the phone. Summary: For upgrading a phone, this is the place to go. Ask for Joffrey. I can only speak out of two experiences, and both involve upgrading to a new phone. The first time I went to the AT&T store I needed an upgrade on a phone. I told them what I needed, and within 10 minutes I walked out with an upgraded phone. Fast forward a year or two, and I came back to upgrade a new phone. I no longer live close to the area, but after a poor service in another AT&T store, I decided to come back here. Joffrey assisted us and explained it thoroughly for both my need to upgrade a phone and my husband's questions about the 10 GB family plan. Last night my iPhone decided to follow its dreams to become a paperweight. This, of course, happened right before a big trip, so today after work I went to go get a new phone. Machion was the employee who ended up helping me, and he was absolutely fantastic. He helped me pick out a phone that met my needs, got me set up with a screen protector and phone case to protect my phone, and then let me know about some deals that were going on (one I took, like the awesome insurance plan, the other I didn't just because I don't need an apple watch, but its something I'll keep in mind for later). Machion was genuinely nice, funny, and seemed to be sincerely invested in my situation, and wanted to make sure that I found the perfect fit for me. I would have given this location five stars because my first experience was awesome but the second one was a little different. Taylor was able to help me and was genuinely attentive when I needed assistance even enlisting help from others to ensure that they resolved every aspect of my problem. They eventually fixed my issue but I would have been okay if they hadn't because they put alot of effort into it and listened to my concern. Now my second experience, there was a wait which I do not mind because they were busy and we've all been there, but when I sat with a different representative was a different experience. When I expressed my concern about not getting attachments on my phone, he asked me what kind. Now I understand there are different types but he made it sound like I should have known. He then brought up different facts about texting which was not my problem. His mannerism was a bit pushy and it seemed as though he was reading from a book. He kept cutting me off and anything I said didn't seem to be getting through. Overall, this is still a good location, but I would probably not go out of my way to come here. read more

After trying to get them to understand that I want to give them my business and they should totally be able to do this, I gave up. We immediately got the sense that he was truly honest and not trying to sell us stuff we don't need. we had been misinformed at a another local att store and he laid everything out for us in a professional, understandable way. Then, Andy Kim told my Fairfax City Police Officer Lawson and Officer Gardner that his Kamp Washington Store is not a corporate AT&T Store and Andy Kim has the AT&T logo all over his Kamp Washington store. That is a problem Randall Stephenson. Andy Kim is displaying your AT&T logo everywhere and does not want to be associated with AT&T and the same goes for your nonprofit the American Heart Association. I did not deface any of AT&T properties. It was Sara your manager at the Fair Oaks mall. Why is the American Heart Association donations paper has your AT&T logo on it when none of your AT&T stores wants to be associated with AT&T corporate.
