If I could give them 10 stars on a five-star rating, I would. I've been there about 10 times over the years, and EVERY SINGLE TIME they've managed to completely resolve my issue. In fact, after going to the nearby Verizon store first today, I was told to either buy a wireless charger (which wouldn't work as I have something glued to the back of my phone case) or just buy a new phone (a prong from my charger broke off inside the charging port, leaving me unable to listen to music [I hate AirPods, plus I connect my phone to my car's sound system]). I drove across the street, and they were able to fix it within 10 minutes. Along with the cleaning and getting a new protective glass installed, it set me back a whole $35. Also, the service has been friendly - dare I say outstanding - on each of my visits. TLDR: the employees at Verizon and other such stores are primarily salesmen. They want you to buy something, and they aren't super well versed in how their products actually work. The guys at Super Smart phones have YEARS of expertise, can fix nearly everything, are great with customers, and have extremely reasonable prices. The only drawback is it's a little hard to find. OK, so about these guys.... They're phenomenal. Took my Android to them yesterday after becoming super frustrated dealing with the Sprint Store personnel (who treat you like a giant rib roast in a lion's den the moment you walk into their stores) who aren't the least bit interested in anything that doesn't sound like SELLING YOU A NEW PHONE. #thirsty I detoured away from heading to the Sprint "service center" in favor of these guys, remembering I had another phone there that had a charging port and motherboard repair ($85) done. Why not hear what they had to say. It wasn't like I didn't ALREADY know what the Sprint folks were gonna say. The owner, Norri, is actually an engineer so you can tell fairly quickly that he knows his way around the internals of a phone. Now THAT is EXACTLY what I was looking for! These guys replace charging ports, screens, fix motherboards - whatever it takes to get your phone back functional. They sell refurbished phones and service Ipads too. The store itself is around back of a little two story office building there on Old Keene Mill Rd. A hidden gem, and the perfect antidote to the hoard of marauding hyenas that cell carriers have become. Nice to find honest, reasonable, fairly priced service. read more

HIGHLY recommended place!!! So my son terribly cracked my screen and I was dreading fixing it because I know it can cost an arm and a leg. But I heard about this place through a friend, so I called in and Solo helped me out immediately. He told me he had an extra screen in stock but also said that if I wanted a different one, he could order it and it would be in by the next day. I decided to go with what he had in stock bc I couldn't wait anymore. Came in the same day and Solo replaced it within a matter of minutes. Recently bought a refurbished phone at full retail and there was an incident within the first 30 days as in the screen came off. I went back to the store and was quoted retail price on a fox, no mention of the current Groupon promotion that was about 20 percent less. I left and took the phone to another store for repairs whom I know and trust. They couldn't explain how it happened but they didn't see the expected glue residue on the glass which I was told was a replacement. So, the refurbished phone may not have been to factory spec with the proper amount or curing of glue for it to have popped off as it did. I don't know the source of the refurbished phones, but I would tend to patronize a business that will work with a customer, and one that checks the phones or refurbishes the phones on site. I do know that we removed no adhesive from inside the phone, and from past experience, Apple products tend to be well glued. In the end, there was no real advantage to the transaction, having to go out of my way to return with the broken phone to a store that seemed not to care about long-term customer retention or recommendation. Plus, for future reference, it's very easy to place the blame on a teenager as in insinuating that they dropped the phone and didn't tell that was the problem. The only problem is that it was in a case and was flat on a counter when the glass lifted off the frame as she picked up the phone, witnessed by an adult and two siblings. I paid to fox the phone at another store and would have been much happier had this store not looked for a way to shift blame as they never explained why there was no adhesion of the glass, something that the phone's user thought wasn't right, but trusted that the refurbished phone was refurbished and that was all in her mind. Even if I had been offered the Groupon price, that would have been a means to work with the customer who just bought the phone. I guess full price repairs on full price retail phones is another profit center. My advice is to shop around for refurbished phones with online sources and your carrier. Pay for expedited shipping if you need it faster, and check their return policy and examine the phone thoroughly for any issues upon receipt. And for repairs, they may be good, but if this phone was refurbished in their facility, go somewhere else as quality control appears to have let out a dud. I tried to support a local business and got the business in return, so this is not going to be a source for a phone or phone/tablet repair for our family in future. read more

After calling my phone company and finding out about the useless insurance I've been paying for, I decided to take a different route and have the screen fixed for a hundred and something cheaper than it would have been to get a "new" phone from Tmobile. Rob's work was very precise; there was no half assing it. Some of the things I noticed: 1. It's a great deal ($55 w/ yelp discount) 2. They're honest about what they're doing, as they perform surgery on your phone right in front of you. 3. Conveniently located in Springfield off of Backlick Rd. 4. Found this place after reading their Craigslist ad. Called first and spoke to proprietor Noori. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. So even though I live Baltimore, I made the trip to Springfield VA. The trip was worth it because I was able to physically hold and handle the Samsung S3 and S4. I was accustomed to the iPhone, and Noori patiently showed me the features and differences with the Android operating system. All of their phones that I looked at were unlocked and all the Samsung phones were designed to accept my micro-SIM. So I inserted my Straight Talk SIM, we modified the network settings for 4G internet & MMS, conducted some verification testing. And I paid a very reasonable price for an unlocked used S3. They only sell Apple and Samsung so they concentrate on only the 2 biggest smartphone heavyweights. They can unlock any phone and can perform any repairs. If you need an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phone, either New or Used, you should pay these guys a visit. read more

Took my phone here this afternoon because I cracked my screen pretty bad. I had called ahead and they offered to precut the glass for me to save time when I got there. I got there, they knew exactly who I was and immediately went to work on my phone. Took about fifteen minutes and I came out with a new case, for only about $65. I think the original price would have been $85 but they had a yelp promotion going so I took advantage. I brought my phone here this afternoon in order to fix a crack in my iPhone 5. There location can be a little difficult to see if you have never been there, but it did not take me long at all to find. I had turned just one street too late. It took them five minutes tops to replace screen! After replacing it they called my phone to make sure that everything worked well. They had a deal on their Yelp page (ultimately $10 off), which I was able to apply. This made my total $65. Compared to other places I called and looked into this was a great price. Radio Shack charges $125, SmartFix charges $100, and another local place I called charges $75 (and didn't have a promotional deal). Overall, I highly recommend coming here for any electronic repairs. I hope I don't need anything fixed in the future, but if I do, I plan to come here. read more

I brought my ancient iPhone SE with an impressively cracked screen there based off of the Yelp reviews. I wasn't sure I was in the right place as there was no sign over the door itself and no window to see inside, but my GPS said I was there, so I took a leap of faith and opened the door. This time I could not use the touch screen, I took my phone to DMV around the corner and find out there is a part missing when they replace the new screen.
