    Beware of Verizon Cellular Sales in Garner, NC…read more I went to the Verizon store in Garner, NC, and they offered a good deal: $600 off for changing plans or $400 off for sticking with my plan, both requiring me to give back my phone. They even agreed to let me return the phone after a month because I was traveling for my wedding. But when I came back, they claimed I was one day late and only gave me $25 instead of $400. When I asked for my phone back, they refused. After hours of talking, they only upped it to $95. They insisted they had explained everything clearly, but it sure didn't seem that way to me. It feels like they'll say anything to close a sale and then backtrack. My advice? Stay away from Verizon retailers like Cellular Sales and go straight to Verizon. Don't get caught in their trap like I did. It's not worth the hassle or the feeling of getting ripped off. Avoid at all costs! p.s. of course they will argue they were right after this rating.

I called on Sunday 4/14 at 2:30 pm to inquire about getting my phone repaired. I was told I could drop off the phone and pick it up Monday 4/15 for a 24 hour repair. The store associate confirmed he had the phone part so I dropped of my phone that afternoon at 3:30pm. Monday at 5:30 I stopped by to pick up my phone and the store associate said they were waiting on a part, and it wasn't ready but would be ready Tuesday early afternoon. I called Tuesday (before driving out there) at 11:00 am and was told the shipment still hadn't arrived but it would in the next hour and my phone would be ready to pick up that evening before close. I drove by that evening around 6:30 pm and I was told "im sorry ma'am but your phone isn't ready" - they had not started. The store associate said it would now be ready "Wednesday morning when we open". I asked for a specific time, and I was told 10 or 10:30. Wednesday morning 4/17 I called at 10:30am and asked for the status. I was told "in the next 30 to 1 hour". At 11:30 I drove to pick up my phone and the associate said "im sorry ma'am but your phone isn't ready. It will be another hour." At this point, I asked for my phone back and I told the man I would take it somewhere else. He said he couldn't do that because he already started the repair. I said, I don't care - give me the pieces and ill take it somewhere else. He said no. I told him I refused to pay, and he said then "you won't get your phone then". At this point I decided to wait in the store until he finished. I waited for about 50 minutes until my phone was done. I was offered no accommodation or discount. I will never ever do business with you again and I will never recommend it to anyone else. On a positive note the phone seems to be repaired fine and the price was reasonable.

As a prior Verizon Business employee everything I learned about customer satisfaction ended there at the Corporate Verizon Store. Our motto used to be " we will do whatever we can to retain good customers", if I had not just purchased a new expensive phone I would have selected to go to a less reputable company. But, the question remains...is Verizon the better Company? No! No they aren't- not after my customer interfacing experience today. The customer service I received on April 24, 2024 around 11:30 a.m. everyone employed there should be Re- TRAINED or let go!!! It matters not that I am of a certain age over 60, and had problems transferring my data from my old phone to the new EXPENSIVE one, the " Verizon employees" were more than rude, not willing to assist and completely shut me out. After sitting there totally lost, I left. Did they even notice this senior was frustrated and left the building? I got in my car and felt completely confused and helpless... Verizon Corporate office in Garner- yall are totally useless, rude, full of pride and have no home training. What goes around comes around. Vengeance is mine saith The Lord. Shame!

    We have been Loyal Customers of DirecTV for 21 years. I get the MLB Extra Innings package from…read morethem every year and the Hockey package most years. This year we called to add the NHL Center Ice Package and my wife was told it couldn't be added because we still owned $$ for the MLB package which We Had Pre-Paid for Back in April and that the Only way I could get the Hockey package was if we paid $400 on our next Bill! What??? We finally After the Rep Fought us several times got over to the Retention Dept. and the Package was added. Now wegave the company $70 and they were acting as if they Gave us something for free. No One ever Apologized. After my Hockey sub is done Seriously considering Dropping DirecTV. No way to treat 21 year loyal Customers!

    In November 2022, we went through AT&T and got Direct TV. We had had Brightspeed for the phone…read moreand internet . Spectrum finally installed their fiber optic cable in our area. We really wanted to have better internet, and went for the Spectrum package of phone, internet and TV. We cancelled our Direct TV on September 6th, 2024. We had the bill on autopay. We had been charged $160.00 /month for that service. On March 3rd, 2025 I received an email that said my Direct TV bill was now $225.00/month. My husband called Direct TV and they confirmed that we had cancelled our service and they had continued to bill our autopay. When we had called in September we asked about returning the TV boxes. We were told that a box would be sent to us so that we could return the boxes. This never happened. After 10 days we called Direct TV and said that we had not received a box. We were told that one would be sent. This never happened. When we called on March 4th about the bill, my husband spoke with someone that said their billing went to September 20th. So we would not be reimbursed for that month. We were told that we would receive a prepaid credit card for 4 months. We drove to Henderson, NC 14 miles/one way to the UPS to return the TV boxes after we had packed them. We were told they could not accept them and we would have to drive 26 miles one way to the UPS facility in Wake Forest. When we got there, the boxes were repacked and mailed to Direct TV. Since it has been a month since our contact with Direct TV, my husband called, . About 4 days after we sent the TV boxes back, I received an email that said not to return them but to recycle them. Now it has been a month when we have complied with their initial request to return the boxes to get our refund, and have not heard from Direct TV. I had my husband call Direct TV. after being hung up on twice, he spoke to a lady that said that it takes 60 days to resolve this. So we should expect a check by May 4th. No problem with Direct TV, just what I have written. With all of this, I would not have Direct TV, and AT&T said no contract and we went several times to the Raleigh AT&T office and explained that we were told no contract. And phone calls were not helpful in cancelling the contract. I had stopped at a booth at Sam's Club in Wake Forest where I spoke with a guy Alexandre, when I contacted Sam's Club they said they had nothing to do with this they had just rented the space for the booth. No matter how old you are, you still have lessons to learn. Hopefully, someone will read this and not make the same mistakes. My father and best friend had Direct TV. My husband had worked for the federal government
